With the upcoming Friday game and more on it's way, do you think horror gaming will impact this year or not by a lot? Until Dawn paved the way for fresh ideas and i hope developers use it to their advantage.

I hope so, but you can never tell with video games. Even when something is successful.

I hope we continue to get more games.

The horror genre would really thrive in the video game medium.

I'd love more 'slasher' horror games :aricry: I think it could depend on how Friday does, and if the same company starts making slasher games for the other big horror franchises.

Look around you. Kind of amazing, isn't it?
No.
This doesn't have to be a day of sadness.

Hopefully, yes. I'd like to see it start moving beyond "YouTube bait", though -- i.e. games packed with jump scares designed to elicit reactions from Let's Players like PewDiePie and Markiplier. (You also see YouTube bait with all the deliberately buggy "simulator" games trying to copy Goat Simulator.) I hope Until Dawn starts a trend towards more story-driven horror games, and that the Friday the 13th game succeeds in making multiplayer scary.
KEEP AMERICA GREAT
