I fucking can't wait. The guy from Teen Beach (both movies) is doing it. They got the guy from the original co-writing. And they already proved this year they can ABSOLUTELY reunite he original cast (and I hope they do).

In 2008 I was against a new cast. But with this team? I imagine that a new group could be great too.

Either way I'm SO FUCKING EXCITED.

I really doubt the director of Teen Beach 2 would have signed on (after it already fell through once when he was gonna direct) if they were just doing the first all over again.

I kinda would be interested to see them try the original direction they wanted to take in 2009. Which expanded the story to their rivals, The West High Knights. As well as the romance.
The star of the basketball team & a nerdy smart girl from opposing rival schools must try to overcome the barriers around them which ends with a big musical number at the end uniting everyone in both schools. Yawn.
omg :angie:

What's with Nickelodeon and Disney rebooting all these dead and buried franchises? First Nick green lights a movie based on Legend of the Hidden Temple and now Disney does this? They should trash this one though.
BTW just saying. But granted how little information we have on both, without a trailer, or a poster. Hell, we don't even have the barest of plots..I doubt there's any reason they would "trash" it yet. Same goes for rebooting "dead" and "buried" franchises. They ain't dead clearly if they're being brought back! :  If that were the case, Scream, Amittyville, Friday, Nightmare, AND Halloween would all not be being worked on because they'd need to trash them too for being "dead" and "buried". :blessed:

Besides, I will pretty much support any movie that supports the overall message of the original. Which is to be yourself, and break from people's expectations of you. If that's not a message that needs to get to kids before they get into high school and start "cliques" and shit then what is? They can certainly learn more from messages like that than half the crap we get on Television today.
