We were about 20 minutes in when Tony shared some awesome news with us all. Mr. Todd CONFIRMED: The latest installment of Final Destination will begin pre-production in Vancouver by the end of this Summer. Tony will be reprising his role once again as death's right hand man, the chilling William Bludworth.

I'm super excited! Hope it ends up being good.

The only reason Clear died was that Ali Larter declined to appear in any more sequels after two, they wanted her to appear in her own trilogy. Besides that, the second film is amazing compared to four/five

It's not a bad film but it's not that good either :teriwhat:

And she was supposed to be killed in an explosion so it makes sense tho i prefer the comic adaptation showing that Clear was happy to die, meaning she was smiling as she was burned to a crisp knowing she can rest now.

It's cheesy on how they did it but it makes sense that Clear lost everything and wants to die, probably with the whole aftermath setting she'd be reunited with Alex so i liked that. And 5 isn't a great film when you look at it, the bad outweighs the good but i'll praise it for getting back to it's roots and the ending i didn't see coming.

Hating FD2 tho :wiig: FD2 > FD3

3 is better than 2 tho, even as a total body count flick :hillarious:
Is it though? :hillarious:

2 is better than 3. 2 is better written, more diverse with the characters that feel more fleshed out than a lot of the other films, has some emotion within it, displays some dark humor without going over the top with it, and is the only one that is an actual sequel. 2 is my favorite one actually, well that or 5 since they go back and forth all the time.
Wouldn't u say that ur own personal biases r projecting that emotion as 2 it being a better film, then? Admittedly, the accident itself is much more visceral & compliments the 1st film well, alongside the switcheroo in Death's design which is arguably 1 of the more creative ideas of the entire series, but it honestly falls flat 4 the most part in every other regard. Bringing back Clear & Mr. Bludworth was fantastic, 4 sure, but killing her off makes zero sense whatsoever since she died in between ppl in Death's list, so it didn't even fit in w/ the body count well. Not 2 mention all of Kimberly's visions spell things out way 2 much instead of being of the more ambiguous nature like the signs in the original or the pics in 3. Sure, the charries in 3 r total stereotypes & it's nothing more than a body count film, but the black humor that the entire film is wrapped in makes it a much better film that feels fully realized w/ its carnival concept it opens w/, whereas w/ 2, it's just daytime event after daytime event & there isn't rly much of a foreboding tone, ppl just die & ur like...k. 3 may be much of a formulaic approach 2 the series, but overall it manages to wrap itself up nicely, even if it has its own shortcomings, whereas 2 is just kinda there & only has brief moments that don't click well 2gether.

I pretty much agree w/Frame on this one. :hillarious:

I agree that bringing back Clear & Bludworth was great, but I don't see how killing her off doesn't make sense since it's been established that Clear was on an entirely separate list from the rest of the group seeing that she was not only the final survivor of FD1 but also because she was locked up in a padded room for the first half of the movie. It's arguable that Death used the pile up & the premonition to get Clear out of her padded cell & kill her. Then he was free to kill off Burke & Kim & Noel Fisher and there would be no loose ends. It makes sense. Sure you can argue her actual death wasn't good but it made sense regarding Death's List.

And I mean, I love the pics aspect personally but it's really no different than Kim's visions conceptually. I thought Kim's visions were actually a fun concept though, since none of the other movies have the visionary continue to have visions through the movie. Plus, the visions weren't any more revealing than the pictures. I mean the weights one was obvious, and the Ashes' picture was obvious considering it was tied with the Ashes in the tanning salon, etc. It was hardly ambiguous. Really the only not-obvious pictures were Frankie (which they didn't show till after the fact) & Wendy which really just worked for both situations. I also thought the pregnant lady surviving in the premonition was also another great twist. I love 3's tone & the humor (at times... Ian telling Wendy she should kill herself & Erin smirking was hardly funny), and it's overall one of my favorite FD films to watch. But 2's tone is still great imo, and more consistent than 3's even if it's set in the daytime the majority of the movie. Plus it has the benefit of actually good/developed characters (whereas 3 only has Kevin & Wendy).

When you walk into the room. You pull me close and we start to move
And we're spinning with the stars above. And you lift me up in a wave of love
Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth? Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first. We'll make heaven a place on earth

In the book and her alternate death, Clear smiles before the explosion, and her final thoughs are: "It's over. At least I can rest now."

Here's the quote i copied from Wiki so it's explained better.

I legit hate that even more because it degrades Clears character that she would for real just give up at the end. So you're not really helping your case.
