The first was such a raging success that it comes as no surprise and I have complete faith in the project. David F Sandberg (the director) has already been open about his plans on tackling the ending from the first since he feels absolutely awful about audiences getting the wrong message (he suffers from depression and wanted it to be about depression) and taking the sequel in darker, emotional places.

I'm A Dead Bitch Baby!
Haven't seen the first but not surprised it's getting a sequel. Wonder how this will continue.

When you walk into the room. You pull me close and we start to move
And we're spinning with the stars above. And you lift me up in a wave of love
Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth? Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first. We'll make heaven a place on earth

Hope the sequel fixes the big problem I had with the ending of the original. At the very least, have it follow the same characters.

Just don't make it a prequel, for the love of God.
