You have read the title of this email properly. As of April 29, 2012 The Life After will be going on a Hiatus. I can't tell you for how long or if the site will ever make a come back. Maybe one day down the line you'll get an email saying we've re-opened our doors but honestly I can't tell you that day will come for certain. Deep down I honestly wish for it but right now this is what must happen.
I, and only a handful of others, have been with TLA since it's inception in January 2008. The site has seen many people and characters. Many plots, dramas...in character and in real life. Friendships have been formed and friends have been lost. It's been one crazy ride and I know, despite some of the bad times, we've all enjoyed it greatly.
I do want to personally apologize to the few brand new members who've joined recently. I know the site looked promising and by all means it could be but myself and a few staff members can honestly not handle the site at the moment. Real life has caught up with us and not really in the best of ways. I don't want to get into anyone else's personal reasons as I don't feel it's really my place but I do not mind sharing mine.
For the past couple of months my life has been a roller coaster of sorts. Feelings going up and down, back and forth. I've been sinking into a depression and as of late it seems I'm close to hitting a rock bottom. For the first time ever I'm actually seeking professional help before anything too serious has a chance to occur. I don't have the mental capacity to care for and nurture TLA as I once did and I feel this is the best step to take before the site is completely run down into the ground.
I hope you all can understand this situation and I want to deeply apologize to all of you. I never wanted this day to come to TLA but unfortunately the day has come.
