Sydney thought back onto the day she had gone on the mission with Noire. Had she know what kind of trouble the girl was going to cause, its possible she would have just left her at the bottom of the lake. Let see what kind of trouble she could cause from there. She leaned back into the wall, thinking of everything that had to be done now. She looked up at Matt, Yes, I would have loved the pleasure. But I have complete confidence in you and your abilities. She pushed off from the wall, stepping closer to Matt. Her voice dropped to almost a whisper, Just make sure its done quickly and cleanly. It wouldn't do to have someone see you. She brought her voice back up, Was there anything else we needed to discuss? She knew they needed to work on the plans for the Shadow Walkers, but here in the corridor where anyone could walk would not be the best place for that.

Matt watch Sydney and listened as she spoke, of course he would make sure there were no witnesses when he did it he wasn't that reckless and he knew enough to do it quickly and painlessly. Matt knew Noire wasn't going to like this too much, fortunetly she wouldn't remember anything after they were done, there were memory charms to fix that kind of thing Matt would make sure Noire didn't remember being imperiused. Matt looked back up to Syd as she asked if there was anything else they needed to discuss, and shook his head. There wasn't anything to discuss right then at least, they had plans they needed to go over for the Shadow Walkers of course but they'd already spent too much time in a public area to risk talking about those things where it could easily be over heard. "No not right now anyway," Matt said, "the rest can wait for later when we have a bit more private time, you know, pillow talk." He added the last part with a wink, of course he wasn't serious. Matt didn't see Syd as the type to sleep around or anything like that, of coures he'd been wrong before. |

Sydney gave a sly smile, thinking of the joy of putting Noire under the imperious curse. But even with the joy, it would cause she would let Matt have the privilege. After all, Syd still had Alice that she could have the joy of dealing with. And once she found out exactly what Alice’s deal was, she would have the pleasure of making sure the girl stayed far away from Sydney’s business. Especially since now the club had passed ownership to her, it was up to her to make sure it would not fall apart. She had partially turned away when she heard Matt’s next comment. She turned around to face him, everyone needed to have little fun. For the third time, she graced Matt with a flirtatious smile. She took a step toward Matt, so they were almost touching. Slowly she wrapped her arm around his neck, pulling herself so her lips were almost touching his before stopping. Her voice near a whisper, You should know, I rarely mix business with pleasure. And Matt would definitely be a pleasure, however right now there were things to be done. Slowly she stepped away from Matt, her flirtatious smile still on her face. I’ll be looking forward to next time. And with that she swept out of the corridor, toward the Slytherin common room. |

Matt watched Sydney start to walk away until he'd finished his comment about private time and pillow talk and he saw that smile again, for the third time in one evening. Sydney then did something quite unexpected, at least Matt didn't expect it, she stood inches from him and wrapped an arm around his neck pulling him into kissing range. Matt, out of reaction, tried to kiss her but found hs reaction was a bit too slow as Sydney had already pulled away. Bewildered and confused, he watched Sydney make her way out of the corridor, he wasn't even sure what direction she was going. That was a woman that could make any man fall to his knees. After a few minutes of standing there Matt regained his composure and walked towards the common room, a sm ile on his face. |

Aaron paced the corridor his arms folded across his chest and his mind racing through far off places and problems. He had grown uncomfortable in the common room and only went in when he was ready to go to bed. There was too much going on in his mind now to fall asleep. He was still a little in shock that he had been allowed to come back to the school, and found that the school work in his newt year was far more difficult then he had anticipated; but that was the leased of his worries. He wanted to know what Caleb was up to. Why he was gathering so many to him now, after all this time of secrecy. He had not wanted any help from anyone but Aaron for almost two years, and now he was hosting parties at the house and spreading his mark around. Aaron couldn't figure out what had changed. Finally he sat on a bench and drove his heel into the seat of the bench beside him leaning is elbow on his knee. He took a few frustrated breaths and dragged his hand through his hair. The only thing he could think of was that he had finally gotten what it was that he was looking for. Even Aaron didn't know what that was, but he knew that it was powerful. Something from in that book his father had given him four years ago. Aaron had never looked through the book. The cover (a picture of a large jaw bone rimmed with razor sharp fangs) had always been enough to keep him away from it, and when Caleb told him that the name of the book was "The Devouring" It only convinced him further that nothing good would come from it's contents. Even so, now he wished he could get his hands on it. maybe then he could know what was coming. |

The night hadn't been a loss at all, she was happy that she'd found herself out on the playgrounds instead of cooped up in the common rooms, going over classwork and such..like she was used to. A smile graced her face as she made her way back into the castle and towards her own common room. She wasn't to tired and thought that maybe she would send an owl out to each of her parents, letting them know that everyone was safe and that it seemed even for a little while that things could be some kind of normal. As she reached the painting that led up to the Hufflepuff common room she was distracted. She pushed back from the wall and glanced down the somewhat dark corridor, a look of curiosity on her face. "Hmm..." She weighed her options of either checking it out or going on about her way. Her Prefect duties however didn't give her that choice and she sighed lightly, figuring that it was someone in need of a little guidance. She brushed her hair back and rolled up her sleeves, putting her best stern face forwards, if it was someone doing something they had no business doing then she would have to correct them. Though..as she walked down a little farther the sight she came to wasn't what she had anticipated it to be. "Aaron?" She asked, the look dropped from her face as she looked at him, getting closer to see him better. The jury was still out on how she felt about this one but either way that wouldn't stop her from just being nice to the boy. |

Aaron heard the footsteps long before his name was spoken by the familiar voice. At first the steps did not concern him but he could tell they were coming closer, even so, he paid them little attention. It had been a long time since he had lost his fear of anything within these walls. He had been through too much, seen too many horrible things, done too many horrible things to worry about some student getting the jump on him. And now that he was in his seventh year, and because his spell casting and wand work had advanced so much in the past year he welcomed any attempt at him. The footsteps were on top of him and his indifference kept him from even looking up. There was no fear. The footsteps stopped beside him and for an instant he was sure something would happen, and still there was no fear. But only for an instant. She had said his name and his palms moistened. He was wrong. There was still one person within these walls that could cause him fear. He looked up and saw her standing there. His face however did not change expression or show emotion. Hey... He wiped his clammy hands against his robes. You shouldn't be out this late by yourself. He immediately regretted saying that. No matter how he felt, no matter what he wanted, he had no right telling her her own business. He looked away. Sorry... I just don't know how safe the castle is for you. He wanted to take her by the hand and march her straight to the common room. At least he knew that Ronin would be there, for some reason he trusted Ronin very much. But he couldn't do that. He looked back at her. I like when I know your safe that's all... sorry. He dragged his hand through his hair and shook his head as if angry with himself. |

Nothing could have prepared her for the look he gave her once setting his eyes on her. She felt almost as if she was being undone in many ways and that puzzled her to some point. She struggled to find words to say, her reason for coming down here was now lost on her. His concern for her not being out alone would have normally made her defensive seeing as though she was out to make a point, a point that proved that she was able to take care of herself..but those words didn't get a chance to leave her lips and if they dare tried she would have stopped them. She rubbed her arm lightly, pulling her sweater closer around her and shrugged. Stupid move? Maybe...seeing as thought the girl was in enough danger as it was and well she should be more careful, this whole me against the world plan she had working for her was starting to fail and she'd been in his presence for all of two minutes and had managed this without even knowing it. "I understand it's not safe...and I know I could and should be more careful..I know.." She spoke softly, her own voice felt strange to her. "..But I can't take being locked up...I just..I feel as though I have all these people trying to protect me and I'm thankful...but..I don't want to feel like a caged animal." She confessed, her face having a softer tone to it as she looked at him. "You don't have to say sorry to me.." She paused for a moment, taking the look of him in for once and saw the fight he had inside of him. It made her feel bad for being one more thing for him to worry about..for her not being able to remember the things that he did..she wanted to but she had never admitted that to anyone. "I owe you." |

Aaron listened to the things she said. He was glad at least that she understood the danger, and knew that she should be more careful, it made him feel a little better about what he had said. Her body language conveyed a little uneasiness and discomfort. He felt bad about it. He didn't want to be responsible for making her feel uncomfortable, but he didn't know what to do about it. Finally he heard her say that she owed him. He almost choked. His brother had kidnapped her, his cousin had tortured her. He had done nothing about it. He felt like he should have known. The whole time she was facing what was being done to her in that basement he had been helping his brother with his plans. Doing exactly what Caleb had manipulated him to do. And in doing so he had turned his back on Asia; betrayed her. Whatever you think you owe me... you don't. He couldn't bring himself to admit to her what he had done, or what he had not done. He couldn't bare to risk seeing the look of disappointment on her face. She knew that it was his family that was responsible for her pain and the trial she now endured. That was enough, more than enough. The terrible things he had done would be too much. He would make penance for those deeds with his life, but not with hers. It's not just you either, we are all in danger now. Everyone needs to be more careful. It was true, but he didn't care, he cared about her. You don't have to feel caged, just don't walk around at night by yourself He forced a smile. Having company's not that bad is it? |

Though he said that she didn't owe him, she couldn't help but feel that she did. He had risked his life to save RJ from his fate in the basement. Had refused to let her go and get caught up in whatever was going on inside of that house. The hurt in his eyes screamed at her though he said nothing about it. She wondered how she hadn't seen this before, wasn't she going through something like this as well? Asia had been so caught up in her own emotions that she had closed out what others were feeling and dealing with things as well. She felt as though she owed her mother an apology and though she kept things from her..it didn't justify her being such a brat. Aaron was right, these were dark times and she feared that more things would happen..more students would either go missing, end up dead or even joining Caleb in his twisted plan to "free" their kind. "Your wrong, you saved RJ and granted I don't know the full details of what happened but..that doesn't matter." Her face took on a look of compassion for the cause. "What matters is that he's alive and well, that your alive and well." She smiled easily at his question and shook her head slightly. "No..are you saying you want to be my company?" She tilted her head and bit her lip lightly. |

Aaron felt uncomfortable as she spoke of rescuing RJ. He knew that he had risked himself to do that but the truth was that he was the only one that could. No one else would have had the ability or the know how to accomplish the goal. And if they had tried they would have killed themselves and RJ in the attempt. That was something he had to do, his first act of atonement. He was sure it certainly wouldn't be his last. He was glad that RJ was alive but it was no reason for her to owe him. He had resolved himself that his major purpose would be to make up for the damage that his brother intended to cause. To atone for the damage he himself had caused. He looked at Asia and nodded when she said that he and RJ being alive was what mattered, he agreed but included any other would-be rescuers in the mix as well, including Asia. At her final question Aaron froze. He had no idea how to answer. The question tore him to his core. In some ways he wanted to do nothing but be in her company. In some ways he would dedicate his remaining life to being in her presence. On the other hand, he knew how much pain that would cause him. What if she didn't like the person he had become? What if she wasn't interested in him the same way she once was? What if he used what he knew about her to try and convince her to care for him again? What would that make him? What would that make them? He didn't know how to talk to her. He knew things about her that she may be uncomfortable with him knowing. It was too complicated. Too unfair. Being with you makes me feel whole and tears me apart all at the same time. I don't know if your memory will ever return, If you'll ever remember what it used to be like. I've told myself that the best thing I can do is always be honest with you, and the truth is I don't know if I can bare it. He looked away. He wasn't sure why he had said what he did, but now that he had, as terribly embarrassing as it was, he knew that he had to. |

She wasn't sure how to respond to what he was saying but she could listen to him and try her best to understand where he was coming from. The tone in his voice was enough to break her and there was no use in hiding that anymore. She doubted she could now seeing as though it was clearly written on her face, the darkness of the hall confided it but if he asked her how she felt she wouldn't be able to hide that part anymore. She didn't know what he had gone through while she was away, what things he had seen or done...him being Caleb's brother hadn't been lost on her, he was evil and in turn he'd had Aaron beside him. She didn't want to ask him about it but then again she wanted to. Maybe it would help shine some light on this situation and why he looked so troubled. "You said that your honest with me...I feel as though I haven't been..not with you nor myself." She started to fiddle with her bracelet some, her nerves were coming back to her but she fought threw them. "I-um..I know what that feels like and well I told you back at my house that I was having these..feelings towards you and that I didn't know what they were. That was a lie. I know what they are I just don't have the memories to tell me why...If I could say one thing to comfort you Aaron...it would be that I want to remember why I feel this way." She wasn't sure she was making any sense, maybe he was just laugh at tell her she was thinking too much into it or maybe it would just push them apart more. |

Aaron didn't know how to respond once again. He couldn't tell if what she was saying was a good thing or a bad thing. What he could tell right now was that it didn't really change much. He knew that to some extent he would always have some roll in her life. Whether or not that was the role that he wanted he had no idea. But he knew he would never be out of her life. So he sighed a little. He wished, probably almost as much as she did, that she had her memories back. But there was nothing that he could do about it. It was then that it occurred to him that maybe there was. He had never really thought about it before but now he began to wonder if there was a magical way to return someone's memory. He knew that the effects of memory charms were very difficult to counter but this was not the same thing. This was the result of a traumatic experience. Questions were now running through his head. What if there was a way that he could help her get her memories back? Asia... what have you done to try and get your memories back? Did the healers try anything? |

"It's funny you mention that. During the whole thing with Braden, granted I don't remember everything but..I guess apart of me didn't want to remember? That make any sense?" She looked over at him and rubbed her arm lightly. "Mother didn't seem to argue with that choice either and well she didn't want me to remember anything not even you. Before you got there that night, I'd had an argument about that fact alone. Anyways, I think I remember now some conversation my mother had with Miss Winters but I can't really be sure. It was during the time I was in the hospital and well I was out of it then and for awhile at home too. I just wanted to be left alone, the Ministry breathing down my back was enough to deal with so I never really tried to go back on my choice. I know that it's not easy though.." She wondered if she could contact Rebecca and see what her chances were of getting her memories but the small, simple truth would have be had. She would remember everything that had happened to her and have to deal with it head on. As scary as that thought alone was, it would haunt her not to know and hinder her from getting past it. |

Aaron looked at her and shook his head. He hadn't really thought of that. That there were obviously things that she wouldn't want to remember. He felt bad, he had gotten selfish. He wanted to apologize but thought better of it. He looked at her and dragged his hand through his hair. If there was something that could be done about her memory and she decided she wanted to do it, he was sure she would know how. She didn't need him pushing her about it. Well if there's anything I can do to help you through this let me know, I'm always willing to help you. I'm just not sure how helpful I can be. There were things he was good and things he wasn't this was one of the things he felt he was not good at. Particularly because it revolved around a virtue he was lacking; patience. But for her he would help. If it was to remind her of things or tell her stories, he would do that, it was help look for herbs for a potion he would do that, and if it was do nothing but try and be a friend to her, as difficult as it would be, he would do that. Whatever you need, if I can help I will. |
