"That's very kind of you Aaron and I really do appreciate that." She nodded, thinking about the whole thing a bit more now. She would have to talk to Miss Winters about it and seeing as though she was only a year shy of being an adult she figured that this choice didn't have to include her parents. It was in fact Asia who wanted to be more independent with her life and the direction it was going. Though remembering all that had happened to her would hurt it wasn't what she would focus on. She would know her past in order to make changes for her future for there was a lot of good that could and would come of it if only she would let it. "Being around you...here, in this place..brings some memories to me.. I think this is..." She stopped, feeling a bit shy of what she remembered all of a sudden. She laughed softly and shook her head. "Never mind..I'd just like if you could be here with me. I think that once this stage is over...we'll know where we stand..So much has happened and well I don't want to disappoint you if I'm not the person you knew back then. I have to say that I think she's gone in many ways but yet here in front of you." |

He nodded his head. He understood what she meant. He wasn't the same person either. Maybe they would just have to get to know each other again. That didn't sound too bad to him. He had always feared that she would have to get to know him again, and that because he had changed so much she may not like who he had become. Now for the first time it was becoming evident that he would have to get to know her again as well, and that she was different too. He doubted very much that he would not like who she had become. He still saw many of the same traits that he had always seen; her strength and courage, her beauty and kindness, and her clever intelligence. Whatever else there was on top of that would almost certainly be a pleasant surprise. He stood and looked at her with a sincere smile, it felt good not to have to force it. Can I walk you to your common room? He laughed a little. Make sure you get there safe and sound? He stood before her and for some reason it almost felt familiar. |

She looked a bit relieved that he seemed to take in everything she said to him. This memory issue was major and she knew it, not only for her and him but for them as a whole. 'He's your boyfriend..' Lucy's voice rang through her mind and she looked over at him, trying to connect to him but it would take time. She would go visit Rebecca's over their winter break and see what her options were, no doubt the Ministry would be all over her again but that was a fate she was willing to take on. "Yes, I'd like that." She nodded, laughed a little on his comment of her getting to a spot that was about a half a minute away. Asia felt that she wanted to remember, that all the bad would mix in with the good and she could finally just be herself, whoever that person would shape out to be. Sure she knew that these were dark times, times that went past her own troubles but she would not dwell on that. She would have to find things in life to love and live for, reasons for her to overcome the obstacles in front of her and that reason would have to come from her. Granted Aaron was a nice piece of her in some way she wasn't sure of but a piece no less. Before she knew it they were standing just outside the painting that led right into the Hufflepuff common room. She wondered for a moment how he knew where it was and the thought of Ronin flashed in her mind, a whole new set of questions came to mind but they would wait for another day. She turned to him and gave him a small smile. "Thank you.." She slowly reached up and hugged him. "...sleep well.." She whispered in his ear and let go. She then stepped through the painting and headed into her common room. |

Finally deciding that he had time to explore the castle, Jacen had set off to find the dungeons. They shouldn't be that hard to find, just go down right? He made his way past the Great Hall and toward the potions room. That was the only path he had ever taken, time to branch off. Taking a right turn, he headed down a corridor. He thought this way might lead to the Slytherin common room. He had always seen a few heading from this direction on the way to potions. He paused at the painting of a medieval battle and stopped to look at it before continuing on his way. One turn after another and Jacen found himself completely lost. Turning on his heel he looked back the way he came, or thought he came. "Well this could certianly get interesting." He muttered to himself. |

Ainsley turned a corner and continued to gracefully wander through the dark, dungeon corridors. She had just come from the Slytherin common room which was still in an uproar over the prank that turned the whole room purple. All of the other Slytherins were angry about what had happened (especially the ones who had been hit by a balloon and smothered in purple paint themselves) but Ainsley found it funny. Rumor had it that one of her brother's housemates and one of his other friends were guilty of pulling the prank. Trick would be one to hang out with trouble makers. She froze in her steps when she saw another tudent down the hall. At first she thought he was a Slytherin, but then she saw blue on his robes. Ravenclaw. "We don't see any Ravenclaw students down here very often." she said, letting a small smile come to her thin lips. She took a moment to study the boy - his expression, how he presented himself, etc. etc. He seemed to be flustered. Lost, perhaps? Ainsley turned her head to a slight slant. "What brings you down here?" she asked curiously. |

Jacen looked up hearing footsteps approaching, he saw a gril probably around his age standing there. He glanced down at her robes to see what house she was in, Slytherin. "Yeah, not with our common room being up in a tower. Your's, however, has been quite the talk of the castle. Having a bit of trouble with pranksters?" Jacen hadn't heard who was behind it. He would imagine it would be a Gryffindor. They never liked the Slytherins, it would be almost natural for them to turn their common room purple. Jacen wondered if they would be seeing any retaliation from the Slytherins. He took a step toward her and held out his hand, "I'm Jacen, and yes, I got a bit lost. But you seem like you might be able to direction out of this dungeon and onto some brighter floors." he said with a wide grin. |

Ainsley gave the boy a small smile, which was rare. Normally she wanted to get to know people before showing emotions around them. It was an issue with trust she had since being adopted by the Schellden's years ago. But this boy seemed nice, so why not give in a little? "I don't think it's trouble, really. Just fun and games, and nobody got hurt, so where's the trouble?" she replied, giving her shoulders a quick shrug. Of course she was very familiar with pranks, being related to Trick Henderson and all. When the boy extended a hand, Ainsley just stared at it, her eyes wide for a moment or two. This boy was friendly, very friendly. At least, he seemed to be. Offering him another quick smile, Ainsley took his hand in hers and shook it gently. "Ainsley. Good to meet you, Jacen." she let go of his hand and looked around the dungeon. He said that he was lost, which was not surprising at all. Anyone who didn't visit often was bound to lose their way in the cold darkness. "You've known me for twenty seconds and you know that much about me? Fast learner. You really are a Ravenclaw, aren't you?" she asked with a short giggle. Ravenclaws were so proud of their smarts. |

Jacen gave a smile, he had half expected all the Slytherin's to be out for blood after the destruction of their common room, but she didn't seem to care at all. It was refreshing to see someone with such a carefree attitude toward something like these pranks. "Well, I've heard some of your housemate's weren't to happy about the whole affair. Something about paint bombs?" He gave her a curious look. It would be too easy to say that he wouldn't care if someone pranked the Ravenclaw common room. But had he been one of the ones that had been hit with a flying paint balloon, things might not go over as well. He gave her a nod. "Well, I think I'm a pretty fast learner, so I guess the hat put me in the right house. Plus you are a Slytherin which I would assume give you a fair amount of knowledge of these corridors." |

Ainsley had been there to actually witness the paint-filled balloons fall. Some hit the floor and left big puddles of paint here and there, but most of them landed on unsuspecting students, and there certainly was an uproar about it. Ainsley shrugged her shoulders. "Paint washes off." she blankly stated. She probably wouldn't have been so chill about it had she been hit by a balloon. Several small dots of paint had gotten on her robes but it washed off just like she said. Ainsley raised a curious eyebrow at him. How he kept mentioning getting out of the corridor amused her a little. She thought it would be fun to toy around with him a little. "I do, which means I could give you a quick little tour!" she exclaimed, raising a hand to show off the dark place. |

Jacen gave a small shrug of his shoulder, she had a good point there. Paint did wash off. At least it hadn't happened to the Ravenclaw room, he wouldn't really like to get splashed with paint. Even if i would come off. He raised an eyebrow at her, when she mentioned a little tour not sure how he felt about that. "Are you sure you just don't want to try and get me more lost?" He didn't really expect that from her, she seemed nice enough, "I mean, Slytherins don't keep any monsters down here do they?" He gave a small chuckle, trying to imagine the Slytherins keeping a pet down here now. After all there had been the whole thing with a giant snake all those years ago. But if he remembered his history right, Harry Potter had killed that. |

Kahlan quickly made her way down the corridor towards the potion room. Her classes had just let out and she had a short break and was hoping that Aiden would have a break as well. As she walked down the corridor, she was met by a wave of students, of all different house. Well, at least, now she knew potions was letting out, Aiden should be free, since she didn't see any students heading towards the potions room. Stopping outside the classroom, she knocked on the door hoping she wasn't interrupting him. |

Aiden had just finished up with his class and was relived it was over without too much drama. He was proud of his students. They seemed to be doing well in class. He watched them all exit the room and heard a knock on the door. Knowing it was probably his wife he went out into the hall to meet her. Spare moments seemed to be few and far between and he was not going to pass one of them up. As he entered the hall he smiled seeing her. Walking over to her he kissed her on the cheek and then leaned against the wall as he greeted her. "Hey hun. How's it going? Finally got a break between classes huh?" It had been a while since he had actually been able to hang out with her at the school. Actually it was before he had graduated. It had been too long since they had just hung out and talked with out the pressure of everyone around them. He watched as the hallway started to clear out. He didn't have a class next period and so most students were headed up to the other floors. |

Kahlan smiled when Aiden came out into the hallway to meet her. She missed when they used to be able to just hang out. She followed his lead and leaned against the wall as well. "Oh yes, finally a break. I feel like this is the first one I've had in a long time." She let out a small sigh and turned to look at Aiden. "But hey, what about you? Enjoying teaching classes so far?" She knew that Julian was in one of Aiden's classes and she hoped that Julian was behaving himself. "Somehow, it seems I've been able to luck out and not get anyone in class who's going to cause trouble. Even with all the Slytherin's I'm teaching." Ironically, her worst student hadn't even been a Slytherin, but rather a Gryffindor. Kahlan shook her head remembering that situation. |

He thought about all the students he had this term and nodded. He was enjoying it. It was true his method of teaching was a bit unorthodox but he felt it taught more than someone just rambling on and on and on. He had hated that when he was in classes. Looking back to Kahlan he spoke. "Actually I am. There have been a couple of issues. Mostly purebloods that have a problem with muggle borns but we are getting past it. No one has really caused any problems that cannot be handled. I am glad you don't have any trouble makers this year. I can't handle it like I did last time now that I am a professor." Aiden was thinking about when Noah had created so many problems for them a few years ago. He was glad the kid had transferred. At least he didn't need to worry about protecting his family from someone who had a vendetta against them. |

Kahlan shook her head, what was it with all these purebloods thinking they were better than the others. It really was ridiculous, thankfully she didn't think she'd be having any of that in her class this term. She wasn't sure she wanted to deal with it. "Well, as long as you can handle it, I know how that upsets you." She reached over and took his hand, giving it a small squeeze. If there was one thing that could really set Aiden off it was that pureblood pride. She raised her eyebrow at the rest of Aiden's comment. "Now hold on just a minute, I think I did a decent job of dealing with my past troublemaker. Sure I got a month's suspension, but it was so worth it." She gave him a small wink and let go of his hand. "Besides, you never really told me what you did to make Noah stop." He had been so worried about her then, that he had wanted to keep her out of the loop. Much like how he was getting worried in the present state with the muggleborns losing their magic and being killed. |
