RJ laughed out loud as Lara leapt into his arms once again. He was thrilled to see such a good response. In fact, just seeing her reaction made him feel even more excited for the pending trip. He spun her around one more time and set her back down. He had wondered how Lara would be able to really enjoy Paris considering she was now a vampire, but after some thought, he came to a conclusion. "I have it all planned out! We'll lounge in the hotel and rest up during the day, and at night we'll go out on the town! We'll see all of the sites, eat all of the cuisine, and experience everything France has to offer. Then, when the sun's coming up we'll call it a night until it's time to do it all over again. It'll be great!" RJ had barely taken a breath throughout his entire rant, so when he was finished, he was worn out and panting to catch his breath, still with a big grin on his face. |

RJ could only shake his head when Lara refered to him as, "the best cousin ever" he never considered himself to be that good of one. He always wished he could do something more to make Lara smile, especially after all she had been through. "It'll be a great trip ... Now if we can just survive this term we'll be good to go. My mom has already set things up with a hotel and everything." The boy paused and let out a sigh. There wasn't that big of an age gap between himself and Lara, but he dreaded the thought of having to go through his own last year at Hogwarts without her. She would be graduating after the coming term, and although RJ was thrilled for her, he couldn't help but feel a little sad about it. Just a little. "Hey, Lara? What exactly do you plan on doing after you graduate?" He asked, giving her a curious look. He knew that her being a vampire would most likely cause things to be a little more difficult for her. "Apart from the trip to Frace, of course." He added with a light chuckle. |

RJ was taken aback, and almost frightened by Lara's sudden change of mood. She had gone from bursting with excitement, to teary eyed and sad faster than RJ could see the transition. He was a little hesitant at first when Lara grabbed onto him, unsure of how exactly to handle and respond to what she was saying, but after a moment he wrapped his own arms around her waist and held her tight, now beginning his mood to falter as well. Death hadn't been something he had thought about lately ... At least not for himself. His brow furrowed as he thought about it. Finally, after a deep breath, RJ spoke up. "I think you're gonna have to eventually, taking into consideration that I'm mortal." RJ paused, took Lara by the shoulders and held her out until she was standing in front of him. He could see a tear running down her cheek, and so he quickly wiped it away with the back of his hand. He hated to see her cry. He absolutely hated it. "But I swear I'll be around for as long as I possibly can be. I won't let you go in on this alone." He said, his eyes looking deeply into hers. |

RJ glanced over to the side and pursed his lips in thought. The idea was too much for him to even begin to comprehend. He had never looked at Lara's situation in this light. "I can't even begin to imagine." He uttered quietly. Looking back at Lara, RJ tilted his head to the side and forced the smallest hint of a smile to come to his lips. He wasn't sure if any positive words would be able to soothe Lara at the moment, but it was worth a shot, right? "Just think though, you'll be there to see our family grow. It seems like it's just you and I now, but you and I will probably end up having kids in the future, right?" RJ paused and shuddered at the thought of himself being a father. "You'll be there to help raise them and their children and their childrens' children ... You'll be the eternal Sullivan!" He said, now grinning in hopes that Lara could too. |

RJ chuckled ... At least Lara was smiling. It was obvious that she was still feeling upset, but she wasn't crying. RJ followed suit and offered a small grin, nodding his head as if to assure Lara. "Everything will be okay. I promise. You just gotta keep movin' on like they say ... Whoever they are." RJ stopped and chuckled again, beginning to feel genuine happiness slipping back into his mood. Suddenly, RJ's wrist watch let ot a small beep. It was midnight. RJ looked down at it and sighed. He had been setting the alarm for a reason and he knew he had to stick to it. "It's getting late, and I have to work in the morning, so I should be leaving soon, that is if you're feeling better." He said, giving Lara a playful smirk. |

RJ hugged back and nodded his head. Lara was feeling better, and it seemed as though nearly everything in his life was good again. There was nothing more to say. The boy hopped back on his right foot and turned around, shoving his hands into his pockets and leaving the garden feeling great. Not only had he given Lara a gift, they had also had a talk, which even though the topic itself was all but good, the conversation had been. And for that, RJ was very thankful. |
