Less pictures of her. Less is more, simplicity is always a good way to start. Also be careful about picture quality, the picture of her in the middle is quite blurry, try sharpening the image a bit. And very important blend the pictures together, right now it looks like a collage (sp?). As far as text goes.....ask Moni, The Text Nazi. Singh Haile :P

There's too many pictures. If you took the three pictures on the far right out, it would look alot better.

Alrighty here we go, Jake pretty much said what I was initially going to say but I'll take it from the text and go one. First things first, you should think about the text as another picture which means you shouldn't think about the text until the ending. When you're placing your pictures on your canvas you should also think of where your text will fit comfortably and nicely. Now I'll move on...back track a little maybe then come back to the text.

I'd just like to say that your cut outs are pretty damn good for your first try so hats off to you there miss thang! lolz BUT Jake and Lewis are right, you used one to many pictures. Well actually you can use as many as you like to be honest but you need to blend them together nicely not just place them on the canvas....like so...

I'm just using those as blending numerous pictures together....NOT for their OVERALL quality lolz.

Next I'm going to address the background. That's usually the first thing you want to work on before you add people. Stocks are you friend and I see you have the flower in the BG. That's a good idea but you can try adding other things like buildings, stairways, clocks, etc. and blending them all together. To blend stock together you generally just change the blending modes *nods* Textures are really good to use as well but don't OVERUSE them and make sure that they don't cover body parts of people if you end up adding a texter AFTER you've created you background. Here are some examples of sigs I've made with lotsa stock images...

And of course you don't have to load a shit load of stock in there too you can leave it somewhat simple as well like soo...

So yeah that covers the background and such now I'll move on to COLORING, you've got photoshop so you can most definitely play around with coloring. All of my sigs that I've previously posted have all had coloring done to them. You can check out some of the tuts in the tut section to help guide you along with that process since I've already said a lot here and that'd take even more space.

I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something but I'll just end it here cuz yeah, this is a lot lolz. Hope it helps though :) Keep practicing!

Okies, when y'all say 'blending', what exactly are you doing?

And, on coloring, I don't have the same layering system with Elements 7, so I'm a little lost there as well...

Blending is making the pictures look like one thing rather than five or six separate things.

I think moni made a tutorial on blending using layer masks. Check that out. It just makes it look smoother and well put togther.
