Roxanne hadn't been too busy at work lately and with the free time she had she'd wander around the muggle world of London or hang about Diagon Alley. The routine, however, started to get a bit too boring and well...routine. She started to feel robot in her daily life. Nothing exciting ever really seemed to happen, and the only thing that was even merely exciting was her running into her long time crush Vincent Taylor. She hadn't run into him again since their meet up, and she tried going to the same place at the same time for a week straight. It could have been considered a bit stalker like but Roxy hadn't had much else to do. Now realizing what was becoming of her life, she decided to take a break from it all and stay at the Burrow with her grandparents. It always made her happy to visit with her grandparents and being in such a family oriented place was cozy. She'd decided to take the next week off from work and floo'd over to the Burrow later that day after contacting her grandfather through a telephone...secretly of course. Her grandmother was stil a bit odd about muggle objects. So here she was, at the Burrow, and in the kitchen eating a lunch her grandmother had prepared for her. It was more like some kind of small supper, and she was sure she might be full for the rest of the day. She'd insisted on just making herself a small turkey sandwich but of course her grandmother wouldn't hear of it. Roxanne just let her work her magic, literally and before she knew it she was sitting at the kitchen table eating lunch made by her grandmother. |

Today had been a pretty boring day at the Potter household. Harry was off doing Auror business and her kids were out living their lives. It was her day off from work and she couldn't think of a better place to spend it than at the Burrow. Even though she was old enough to be a grandmother now, she still enjoyed the usual visits to her childhood home. She would always love her mother's cooking. She knew Harry still liked it too, as he often tried to sneak over here on lunch breaks. There was the Weasley Sunday get-togethers that they had, a weekly family reunion, but today it felt different. She wanted to come over and spend time with her, mother and daughter, like they used to when she was in her twenties, moved out, freshly married, and missing her mother every day. She didn't bother knocking as she entered, the smell of chicken salad sandwiches immediately wafting over her. Her mouth watered and she made her way into the kitchen, spotting her mum at work over the stove. Ginny greeted her warmly, kissing her aged cheeks with affection before grabbing herself a sandwich and head into the dining room. Roxanne, one of her nieces, was already seated at the table - the same table that Ginny used to sit at as a child. "Roxanne!" |

Living near The Burrow with her husband had always been a dream come true for Hermione; she could be near the people she had always loved the most. The matriarch of the Weasley family, Molly, had embraced Hermione as her own daughter since she caught wind that her youngest son, Ron, had developed feelings for her. And it became official once the two of them married. There was nothing like coming back to The Burrow and being fussed over by the aged matriarch. Molly could always make a person feel much younger than they really were. Hermione entered the house and was immediately welcomed by the familiar scents and sounds of her youth. She walked through the living room, which had always been neatly cluttered by magical and non-magical devices, and entered the kitchen, delighted to find her niece, Roxanne, her childhood best friend, Ginny and of course, her mother-in-law, Molly, eating and chattering away. She gave them all great big smile before being instantly handed a plate with a sandwich on it by Molly and ushered to the kitchen table. "Thank you, Mrs. Weasley..." She said as she sat down. |

Roxanne had forgotten just how much she loved her grandmother's cooking. She found herself closing her eyes and savoring each warm bite. It would have been great if her grandmother had opened a small shop of her own, it would have done very well. It surprised her that she hadn't done so she's sure it would have done really well. But she supposed her gran was content with just cooking for her family. It didn't bother her though really, she got to experience the joy it brought her stomach. She couldn't help but smile thinking all of this. Here she was sitting here enjoying life with her gran's cooking. She was unaware of someone entering the Burrow. She was so caught up in her lunch that she was completely tuned out to anything that wasn't being devoured and sent right to her stomach. She was then brought out of her reverie when she heard her name being called. Her eyes shot right open while her sandwich was still in mid air as she saw the source of her name call. "Aunt Ginny!", she gasped as she let her sandwich drop to her plate. She was soon out of her chair and running to hug her Aunt. "I wasn't expecting you to be here, let alone anyone else from the family other than gran and pop! It's so good to see you!", she said as she hugged her again. She then looked over to see other movement and noticed her Aunt hemione had shown up as well. It was turning into quite the family shindig and Roxy was pretty excited to have come visit when she did. She loved her family dearly and being with them always made her happy. She returned her Aunt Hermione's smile and matched it's brightness. |

It was a pretty slow day at the office, at least for one day there wasn't a dark wizard on the loose or rumors of a new dark wizard. And as Harry sat in his office, drumming his quill on the mahogany desk, his mind and stomach drifted to thoughts of lunch. Since it was such a slow day, Harry would be able to take a long lunch. And he knew exactly where he was going to go, his mother-in-law's. Harry always heard stories of people not getting along with their in-laws, and never wanting to visit. He couldn't even imagine. Mrs. Weasley had practically adopted him the summer after his first year of Hogwarts. She had been the first real mother figure that he had known, it wasn't as if his aunt acted like a mother. But Molly had accepted him without question. It was only years later that it was made official when Harry married her only daughter. Grabbing his coat of the rack in the corner of the room, Harry apparated to the back door of the Burrow. He couldn't even remember the last time he actually used the front door. A quick whiff of the air, told Harry that lunch was already cooked. Molly had begun to expect Harry for lunch quite often, her cooking was just so much better than any place around the office. Opening the door, he stepped through into the kitchen looking at whole all was there. If he didn't know better he would have thought it was Sunday when the whole family was over. Harry smiled when he saw his wife standing there, he hadn't expected her to be here today. "Ginny," he said as he walked over to her, kissing her lightly on the cheeks. Hermione and Roxanne were there as well, "Don't tell me I missed the owl about the family reunion?" Thanking Molly for the sandwich she gave him, he took a seat at the table. |

Ron lazily walked to Harry's office, nodding and smiling at a couple of familiar wizards he had worked with in the past. It had always been a dream of his that he would become an Auror and help get rid of all the dark wizards that had made his life as a young man pure Hell. The dark wizards that had killed one of his beloved brothers and scarred another for the rest of his life. The thought of those days made Ron clench his fist angrily. He mentally told himself to calm down. His grades at Hogwarts wouldn't have gotten him in to be an Auror, he thought as a small smile spread on his face. Merlin only knows where he would be now if he had not met Harry Potter on the Hogwarts Express...and stood by him from that day on. Ron popped his head into Harry's office and frowned when he found it empty. Where could he be? He looked up at the clock above Harry's desk, a chuckle escaping from him as he quickly realized where his best friend would be around this time. He apparated instantly to The Burrow, his childhood home. As he walked through the gnome-filled garden to get to the back door, he noticed that The Burrow never changed; it still looked like it would fall over had it not been held up by magic. The only thing that changed were the people inside. For the better. He pulled open the back door and was suprised to find Ginny, his little sister, Hermione, his wife, and Roxanne, George and Angelina's daughter and his niece. "Bloody hell...I had no idea you would all be here." He said as he gave his mother a great big kiss on the cheek and took the sandwich she had been preparing. He made his way over to the kitchen table and pulled up a seat next to his wife, whom he gave a quick kiss on the lips. "Harry...you should have come to get me! Sneaking over here without telling your best mate..." He said, shaking his head jokingly as he took a big bite of his sandwich. |

Ginny continued to eat her lunch, surprised at all the people here. They would all be here again tomorrow, but she supposed there really was nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon. Things had certainly quieted down after the war ended. Death Eaters were caught and persecuted, fortunately no one had ever risen to take Riddle's place. She felt horrified at the thought, not even wanting to imagine what would happen to her family if that happened. Much less, Harry. He may not be that young any more but he still thinks the same. She knew he wouldn't rest until they were brought down again. But things were okay now. Nothing like that was happening. Taking a few more bites of her food, she smiles at everyone around the table, happy to see them. She turns to look at Harry, her suspicions confirmed that he does come up here on his lunches. "I thought you were working, love?" Ginny asks, raising her eyebrows in amusement at him. |

Hermione loved the hustle and bustle of the Weasley family, it was so unlike her own. As an only child, most her childhood before Hogwarts was spent alone, her nose, as always, in a book. But the Weasleys have always been loud, engaging and just plain fun. And that same energy continues with the new Weasleys, Hermione thought as she quietly watched Roxy eat. Her thoughts were interuppted when her good friend, Harry Potter, showed. She grinned as he went over and gave Ginny a kiss on the cheek. A few minutes later, her own husband, Ron, entered the back door. A small smile grew on her lips as she watched him pull a chair next to her and give her a kiss. Even after all those years, she could still feel the blood rushing up to her cheeks, which she knew were now visibly tinted red. "Do you both come here to eat everyday?" She asked Harry and Ron incredulously. |

Ron shrugged at Hermione's question as he took another bite from his sandwich. "Why the bloody hell not? My mum still is the best cook in the world!" He said, flashing his mother a great big smile. He smiled at Roxanne, who had also become a brilliant Auror like himself. Seeing her brought feelings of happiness and bitterness. She reminded him of the brother he had lost. Seeing George himself actually still left a bit of a hole in his heart. But he pushed all those thoughts out of his head and went back to eating. |

Roxanne soon realized that she wasn't quite finished with her lunch and made her way back to her previous place at the table. No sooner had she picked up what remained of her sandwich had her Uncle Harry joined the small gathering of family members. She was also not expecting him to turn up seeing as he was Head of the Auror Department. But since things were rather slow she figured it was a bit alright. He could also just be taking a lunch which would really make the most sense. She shook her head at her rambling of thoughts and took another bite of her sandwich. As soon as she began to chew she heard her Uncle ask if he'd missed an owl. She quickly swallowed her food and chuckled slightly. "Well if there was one, I've clearly missed it as well. Seems I actually chose a great day to start my brief little holiday here. Looks like I pull the family in", she said jokingly. And no sooner had she finished her sentence her Uncle Ron walked through the door. She couldn't help but laugh lightly at her uncle's first words. "Hey Uncle Ron", was how she responded and went back to eating her sandwich as she heard him ask her Uncle Harry why he hadn't gotten him before he came by. The conversation started to be come more centered around the adults and as much as she loved her Aunts and Uncles she wished some of her cousins would happen to drop by. "Anyone but James really", she thought to herself. She'd been good with not thinking about it lately since the memory still stung. Her friend Laila was gone, her best friend. And it was all because of her cousin James. She still hadn't spoken to him since that night and she wasn't ready to start again anytime soon. She then realized she must have been starring off into space looking as if she was about to cry and she quickly pulled herself together. She'd wait until later when she could be alone and have her thoughts to herself. Right now she just wanted to be with her family, in the present. She blinked her eyes a few times and her hearing zeroed in on her Uncle Ron commenting that his mother was the best cook in the world. "And I'd have to agree with you on that one Uncle Ron", she said holding up her sandwich to him as if in a toast and the finished it off. |

Though she should have been happy that the Wizarding World was at peace, Lucy just wished there was something even remotely exciting for her next piece for the Daily Prophet. One more article on the increased trade with Bulgaria and she might just decide that it was time to start looking for a new job. As Lucy sat at her apartment, trying to think of the best place to go to find a scandal, she felt and heard her stomach growling. Walking over to the fridge, she opened it to find some leftover Chinese and a few half drunk bottles of water. Nothing that would settle her hungry stomach. She thought about heading down the road to a restaurant, but then decided on going to visit her grandparents. It was lunchtime and grandmother always said how she never got to see Lucy enough. She tended to be too busy chasing a story to make it to the family gatherings every Sunday. Her mind made up, she grabbed her coat, and apparated to the Burrow. When she arrived she was surprised to hear the sounds of chatter and laughter, all from voices she recognized. Pushing open the door she smiled when she saw a good majority of her family sitting around the table. After giving her grandmother a big hug, she grabbed one of the sandwiches and pulled a chair up to the table. "You're looking a little out of place here Roxy," she said with a laugh, looking around at all their aunts and uncles. Roxy was the closest one to Lucy's own age, and everyone else was pretty much from the previous generation. |

Harry passed a sheepish grin at his wife with a small shrug of his shoulders. "Well, you know, I have a lunch break." He took another bite of his sandwich before looking back up at Ginny, "I didn't realize you were coming out here today. Not much happening at home I take it." Their house was a little too quiet now that all their children were grown and on their own. Harry missed having all of his family home, maybe one of them would be making an appearance today. It seemed like most the family was, Harry thought, as Ron walked through the doors and went to sit by his wife. "Sorry mate, I was trying to keep all the food to myself," he said with a laugh. "How was I to know that the wives were going to try and steal it from both of us?" His gaze flicked from Hermione to Ginny, a goofy smile on his face. There really was nothing like spending time with the family. His two best friends from Hogwarts were a part of that family. He turned his head to look at Roxy, who had joined him and Ron in becoming an Auror and a very promising one at that. Harry turned his head as he heard the door opening again, wondering which other member of the family decided to join in the unplanned festivities. It was Percy's youngest daughter, Lucy, who was just about as different from her father as she could be. As a reporter for the Daily Prophet, Lucy spent a good amount of time questioning what the Ministry was doing, something Percy would never do. "Lucy, we havn't seen you in a while, working on something big?" |

Hermione laughed as she watched her two childhood best friends exchange quips. "Oh, honestly, Harry, Mrs. Weasley makes enough food to feed a small army, as if Ginny and I could possibly eat it all ourselves." She said as she poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice, grinning at Ginny. She turned her gazed towards the door when she heard it opened once again and smiled as she spotted Lucy Weasley walk through. She couldn't be more proud of her children, nieces and nephews. They were all so talented, bright and enigmatic. Roxanne was as Auror, like her uncles, and Lucy was a brilliant writer for the Daily Prophet. "I guess Mrs. Weasley is used to feeding a small army, though..." She said, thinking about all of the Weasley brothers. |

The wand making business is an odd thing. Work is on and off, and Victoire was starting to feel like one of Santa's 'little helpers'. Before Hogwarts opened up, or any other magical school for that matter, orders began flying in while young anxious witches and wizards from all sorts of families peeped through windows and slid inside Ollivans for a taste of their very first wands. But the day of September first, business took a steep downturn back to nothing for mostly the rest of the year. This was when Victoire actually ordered in materials and began crafting the merchandise for next year's round. Of course, there was the odd owl or customer who'd misplaced or broken their precious magical artifact in some way or another. But that wasn't always a common occurrence. Today was especially slow, what with Teddy still at work down the street and her order of Phoenix feathers not due for another three hours; the blond was running out of work to do. She sat at her bench, head propped up while her elbow rested against the smooth run down wood of the table she loved so much. Her long manicured nail slid across the soft surface along the faded out veins as she slid off, daydreaming. It wasn't until a soft mew interrupted her that Victoire jumped and looked up with surprised blue eyes at her and Teddy's little white kitten Bijoux. A smile slid over the woman's lips and she laughed softly. "Are you bored too?" She sighed quietly, reaching out and scooped the kitten into her arms, stroking her soft fur until a gentle purr reached her ears. Victoire's eyes moved up to the ceiling slowly and she raised a brow thinking. Well... it was lunch time... and she was getting a little hungry... "Alright kitty... go wander around and find Teddy or something." She crooned to her kitten as she set her on the ground once more and stood up shaking back that long gossamer curtain of hair from her eyes and brushed a few wood shavings off her skirt. Moving over to the person sized fireplace off to the side, she reached for a handful of the fine powder before stepping into the ashes. "The Burrow!" She called out before allowing the sand like substance to drop around her feet, green flames suddenly licking up her legs and soon her arms, sucking her whole body up and she forced her eyes open as she was spun around in the whirlwind of fire before being deposited rather roughly into another fireplace with a soft 'oof'. Thankfully a bit of that graceful Veela DNA kicked in and flushed out the clumbsyness that sometimes haunted the 28 year old. She stepped easily from the fireplace and looked around, insstantly greeted in the same way as the rest of her family. With cheerful voices and the smell of her grandmother's cooking. A smile slid over Victoire's lips as she dusted herself off heading into the kitchen, instantly being pulled into a hug as she laughed. "Well... this was unexpected" The girl giggled noticing a good chunk of the clan was already here, a plate being pushed into her hands she smiled sweetly to her grandma and Bill's daughter headed over to the table with everyone else, sort of gravitating between the past generation and this one, she sort of fit in between being the oldest of the cousins. |

Lily sighed as she wiped the last remains of dirtiness off her small kitchen table. It was Saturday and, of course, she was cleaning. For some odd reason, she always didn't the kitchen last. Maybe it was her love of doing the dishes. She looked around her more than clean apartment and giggled. The shop was closed on the weekends, so she was very bored. She walked to her room to change out of her cleaning clothes and into something not too nice, but not too shabby. It was then she realised it was lunch time and she was starving. Places she had ate in the past week flew through her mind as did debating on what was in the fridge. She felt like having a home cooked meal, but didn't feel like cooking. A huge grin crept onto her face as she thought of exactly where she could go. With a small 'pop', Lily was in the yard of the Burrow. She had pretty much grown up here, her parents always here for some strange reason or another. She smiled as she walked slowly to the door, taking in the scenery as she did so. When she opened the door, she was surprised to hear so many voices coming from within. 'It's not Sunday. Did I miss something?' She shook her head from that thought. Of course she didn't. Someone would have owled her if there was some sort of meeting. Smile at the conversations she heard in the kitchen, she walked in only to have Molly's arms around her as she did so. She smiled a big grin as she took the sandwich from her hands and looked around. Her parents were there. A good portion of the family was there. She greeted them with a giggle. "Well, hello everyone." |
