Keith sat in the kitchens, munching a roll. Putting it down, he sighed and looked at his watch. Trogdor was late. Of course he was. Stupid hufflepuff coward. He should have known this would happen. Still, there was a chance he'd show, and there was still time to pull it off. It had just better be soon.

Why was he doing this anyway? Oh right, he lost a bet. To some crazy chick with an awful sense of humor. He couldn't get shown up by a girl, now could he? So here he was, waiting on a guy who may or may not show, just to get even. Well, there are worse reasons.

He picked up his roll, and started to go over the day's homework in his head, while he continued to wait.

Trogdor Williams
Hufflepuff 7th Year

Trogdor ran furiously through the maze of passageways towards the kitchen. A maze he still, even after six years, continued to find himself lost in. And of course, today is no different. And why should it be? It's not like Trogdor has to be anywhere on a Friday night. Oh wait! This Friday, of all Fridays, he had a meeting.

Gabriel had always been someone Trogdor admired. Gabriel always had this knack to be able to talk to anyone. Something Trogdor always wished he had. Making friends was just something he never was good at. Not during grade school. Not at Hogwarts. Not anywhere. When Gabriel told Trogdor that he knew of something which would guarantee that he meets new people, Trogdor was overjoyed. But now he wishes he hadn't ever agreed to this nonsense.

Why would a person ever want to do things on a Friday night? It never made sense to him. Friday is a person's first chance to get a break from all the madness that goes on during the week. Why would ANYONE want to do anything but sleep?

Sleep. This was what got him into this mess in the first place. Trogdor figured he should get a little bit of rest before his new endeavor in social life. However, he only wanted half an hour. But no. Turns out he needed TWO HOURS! And when he woke up, it wasn't like he could just rush away and leave Philip with nothing to eat. So now, instead of being ahead of schedule, Trogdor is rushing to make up lost time. And wouldn't you know it? Now he's lost inside the expansive labyrinth that is Hogwarts.

"Haven't I been here before"? mutters a frustrated and confused Trogdor. "Why does this place have to have so many different ways to get to same place, but no way to get where I'M going"? After what seems like hours, Trogdor finally makes it to the kitchen. But wait.

Has Trogdor made ANOTHER mistake? Nobody is there.

Abriawna was aware that people hated her, but that didn't stop her from having a little fun once in a while. That's exactly what she had done with Keith and Trogdor. She had placed a bet against them. Granted it was a pretty unfair bet because she knew right from the beginning that she was going win and get what she wanted anyway. Those poor boys never saw it coming. Now they had to go through with the consequences, and she was on her way to make it happen. She couldn't just trust that the boys would head into the forbidden forest by themselves. Granted, she herself, was not particularly excited about having to go into the forests with those two goons and that was part of the reason why she was dragging Gabriel and Levi with her.

They were all planning on meeting in the kitchen and sneaking out from there. She of course was running late yet again, but she had a hunch that everyone was going to take their time getting there. There was a reason why it was called the FORBIDDEN forest. They weren't allowed in there and for good reason. There were creatures and enemies in there that one should never have to come across.

Abriawna burst through the kitchen door and looked around and shook her head at the sight. So far, only Keith had made it. Abriawna walked up to him and sat down in front of him and didn't even offer a smile. "Where's your partner in crime? He better show up. He lost the bet too..." Abriawna grabbed the roll that Keith had been eating and started eating it herself. "Thanks" she said half glaring at the boy daring him to protest.

Gabriel was quite excited to spend an evening with Abriawna. He was unaware of who all Abriawna had invited, or the reasons why she'd pooled this random assortment of people together to embark on this dangerous adventure. He was listening to his music on his I-Pod and working out, his body glistening with sweat. He hadn't realized the time, and when he checked, he gasped a little and grimaced. He grabbed his shirt, and threw it on as he ran to the showers. He summoned his bag off his bed, and with in a few moments it flew into his open hand. He smiled as he opened the bag. It was awesome having magical abilities.

He hopped into the shower and washed himself off. It was rather cold, so his shower was quick and refreshing. He dried himself off and looked through his bag, and under his bag and around. Getting angry, he muttered. "Bloody Hell! Where are my grundies?" He rummaged through his bag again and found them folded neatly between his other clothes, and the boy let out an impatient sigh. He threw his clothes on quick, and looked in the mirror before closing his bag and glancing at the time. He decided to leave his bag in the washroom and pick it up later, and bolted down the stairs towards the Kitchen.

He walked past a hallway, noticing that Trogdor was glancing around alone, seemingly lost or something. He smiled and shook his head. "Ya lost again there bud? It was unreal how Trogdor had been in Hogwarts for six years and Gabriel already knew the school better than he did. Gabriel chuckled and offered his assistance. "I'm meeting Abriawna at the Kitchens, but you're welcome to come visit with us before we head out." Gabriel leaned in closely and whispered to Trogdor. "We're sneaking out to the forbidden forest!" Gabriel's eyes lit up at the mention of the word. He'd never been, but just the word Forbidden made entering the forest all that much more tempting. Besides, what did he have to worry about. Between him and Abriawna, they would have each other's backs.

Gabriel continued towards the kitchens, motioning for Trogdor to follow him. If he remembered correctly, they were just around the corner... This wasn't the usual route he took, but Hogwarts was known for it's maze-like lay-out. Gabriel glanced into the Kitchen and his eyes lit up at the sight of Abriawna. Though he wasn't sure who she was sitting with.

Of course! How could Trogdor be so stupid! Gabriel said to meet in the kitchen. He never said which kitchen that was. Now what? Trogdor knew there was only one solution. He needed to go to every kitchen until he found the one they were waiting for. Time was of the essence, so Trogdor scurried himself back into the puzzling hallways of Hogwarts. Again!

After a minute of navigating the complex passageways, Trogdor realized that he didn't even know where the other kitchens were! Almost ready to give up, out shone a light of hope.

It was Gabriel. Never had Trogdor been so relieved to see another person in his entire life. "Ya lost again there bud"? Trogdor lowered his head. Gabriel let that one go. "I'm meeting Abriawna at the Kitchens, but you're welcome to come visit with us before we head out." "Why is he asking me?" Trogdor thought to himself, "Wasn't that the plan?" Gabriel leaned over as though he were about to reveal some big secret to Trogdor. "We're sneaking out to the forbidden forest!"

The Forbidden Forest? Why didn't he mention this earlier? Trogdor never would have agreed to meet up if he knew he would be going out there! They call "Forbidden" for a reason. All students are FORBID to enter it! What if they get killed? Or worse? Trogdor had made it this far, but he would never allow himself to show fear to something a 6th year could handle. Maybe they'll get lucky and won't see any monsters. Yeah, that's how it'll be! or maybe . . . "Well ya comin?"

"Yes of course . . ." Trogdor answered. What kind of mess had he gotten himself into?

Tired and grumpy from all the studying he did, Levi stretched his cramped muscles and headed from the study room. He made his way to his locker and noisily dropped his books in. Slamming the door, his eye caught a piece of paper stuck underneath. Pulling it out, he saw it was a note from Abriawna. She left little notes sometimes and he anticipated another joke from her this time. Glancing at the scrawling, he quickly read the message, quite different from what he expected. ~ hey, need you to come hang out with me tonight. Meet me at the kitchen...you better come. -Abri ~ "What in the world was she up too again?" He had no time to hang out tonight...but there was no way to get a hold of her. Maybe she wanted to talk? If she needed cheering up, he should be the last person to talk to. I guess I have to go...Levi trudged up the stairs to his dorm and flopped down on his bed. Hoping to ease his mind and get some rest.

He tossed and turned for a bit, until it was about time to meet her. Levi inwardly groaned as he freshened up. Why did Abriawna insist that tonight was the night they had to hang out? He was in an unusual bad mood today for no reason. Her note puzzled him and wanted to find out what she really wanted. Muttering to himself, he pulled on a hoodie and peered into the mirror. What a face I have! He forced a smile, trying to make his face look brighter. But even his smile looked forced. Bah! Whatever! She'll have to deal with it.

Levi, walking down the stairs, heard muffled voices and tried to make out what was being said. Following the voices, he was surprised to hear the coming from the kitchen area. He caught the shadows of two figures just as he rounded the corner of the long hallway. This was unusual at this time of night. As far as he knew, Abriawna and he were the only ones who would meet down here often.
The voices grew louder as he approached the doorway and was surprised to see Abriawna with Trogdor, Keith, and...and Gabriel! Gabriel? here? "Wha? What is going on here? Abri?" He directly looked at her and searched her face for answers.

Keith watched in surprise, as Abriawna walked in like she owned the place, took the roll he was eating, and started in on it herself. He hadn't been expecting her. Plus, she had a lot of gall just walking in like that. He eyed her suspiciously, then figuring they'd probably be having more company, went to ask the elves for some butterbeer and sandwiches. He returned to the table and sat again, silently offering Abriawna some food. But before he got a chance to ask what was up, in walks that new guy from Australia (judging by his accent, of course), with Trogdor bumbling in behind.

They sat down, Trogdor grabbed a sandwich, and Keith was once again just about to say something when Levi walked in. "Wha? What is going on here? Abri?" he said. At this point, Keith was pretty sure whatever was happening wasn't the simple task Abriawna had mentioned earlier, and that she'd probably schemed up something nasty. Still, a bet was a bet, and they were all already here, so no turning back now. He turned to her and said: "Yes Abriawna, I believe we're all quite curious as to what's going on tonight".

Abriawna half smiled when she saw Gabriel walk in. The boy was gorgeous, and even if her suspicions were true, there was no reason why she couldn’t enjoy looking at him. Behind Gabriel was Trogdor and the poor sap looked like he had been wandering for hours. Levi burst through the door next, looking slightly alarmed and not very happy.

“Come have a seat everyone, I had the elves make us some sandwiches and butter beers. Eat up. You can thank me later because you’ll be needing your energy.” she announced and gestured to the empty seats around her. Amazingly, everyone took a seat and was looking at her expectantly. She almost giggled with excitement. Having this much power over everyone was truly fun.

The girl began to explain how Keith and Trogdor had lost a bet to her and how the result of that loss was that they were to spend an hour in the forbidden forest. Abriawna was kind enough to spare the group the gory details as she had already humiliated the boys once, she didn’t need to do it a second time. That and she didn’t want Levi and Gabriel to see her in her truly bitchy state.

She girl stopped talking only long enough to take a bite of a sandwich and sip of butter beer. “You’re probably wondering what on earth that has to do with everyone right? Well, you see, I am here only to make sure that these boys don’t back out or run away like scared little kiddies, and well… There’s safety in numbers right?” She turned to Gabriel and explained that she knew he was good at magic and if they came across anything he would be a huge asset.

Turning then to Levi, she could tell that he was not at all ready to participate in this little adventure. Her real reason having him here was to see how he was going to react to Gabriel. She suspected that Gabriel was the one he had a crush on, but she didn’t know for sure. Abriawna also knew that she couldn’t just tell Levi that, she was going to have to come up with a different excuse for having him in this bunch. “Levi, love, I thought you might be interested in meeting some new people and I thought it’d be an awesome adventure to add to our memory book. I think it would be great to have you along. She finished with a heart warming smile.

Abriawna turned her attention back to the rest of the group. There was sure to be a lot of discussion happening before they even snuck out of the castle. Some people might even want to back out and well, if she had anything to do with it, that wasn’t going to be an option. “Any questions?” She looked around the table as she finished her sandwich. Ready for whatever the group was going to fire at her.

Gabriel motioned for Trogdor to follow him and was a few steps into the kitchen before he turned at the sound of Levi's voice, his heart taking a leap. "Hey Levi." Gabriel's smile shone ear to ear as he stumbled over his words. Truth was, the boy could have spoken quite clearly and Gabriel would have been just as pleased to see him. He walked towards the tables and took a seat, noting the look on Keith's face as Abriawna showed a side he'd never seen. Regardless, he was extremely excited to be doing something he hadn't ever done before.

He nodded and grinned at the compliment to his magic. It seemed he'd probably be some sort of body guard for what ever this adventure turned out to be. Part of Gabriel hoped for some action, and yet part of him would be just as happy to not be in danger. Gabriel listened in about the dare, and was a little surprised that Abriawna was the type to follow through so strongly on the consequences of losing a bet to her. He took note of this and decided never to bet with the girl, as he would be screwed if he lost. He smiled as she mentioned Levi and he patted him on the shoulder. "Levi can be my body guard." He winked at him and turned back to Abriawna.

Gabriel opened his bag and placed the remaining sandwiches in it along with his bottle of water. It was best to be prepared anyway. "So how deep into the forest will we go? I'm all for going in deep!" Gabriel laughed, it seemed he was probably the most excited of the group. "No need to fear, I will keep ya safe." He reached his hand under the table and rubbed Levi's thigh a little, sending him a sideways grin. He then hopped up and swung his bag over his shoulder. Gabriel was ready to go!

Wonderful! Just wonderful! Now look at this mess I've put myself in. Am I really going to do all of this because of a childish bet? Trogdor had had enough of this already. First he was running late, then he got lost, and now Gabriel is trying to casually push Trogdor far into the forest. "You better have my back, Gabriel" As he finished his sandwich, out of nowhere, Trogdor decided he might as well just get it over with. I die tonight. Might as well make it worth it.

"Well I'm just going to get this over with." Trogdor then bursted away from the group, and out into the forest.

Keith, already suspicious of Abriawna for springing this party on him, and taking all his credit, began to wonder if he wasn't the only person being set up here. Obviously, he himself was more than strong enough magically to take care of himself, even Trogdor, he didn't need some buff Australian guy to take care of him. Which probably meant there was a reason for her buttering him up. All the same, he kept quiet as the group sneaked out towards the forest.

Suddenly, Trogdor ran off into the woods. Keith, thinking quick, threw a tracking spell at him, and followed as quickly as he dared, being sure to remember which way he was headed. Trogdor was the last person that should be alone in the forbidden forest. He managed to go through 6 years of Hogwarts and was still late to class because he got lost. Besides, Keith could always use the four-points spell to find his way out again, remembering that the forest was east of the castle.

Levi stood with his arms crossed, listening to Abriawna's reasons for this meeting. He dismissed the food, still wanting answers. If Gabriel wasn't there, he so would have blown his cover. He faked a smile when Gabriel glanced and him, but glared right back at Abriawna when he turned his head. He knew he was being a stubborn-headed mule, but he did nothing to change.

He stood shocked when Gabriel agreed to go on the dangerous adventure and awkwardly sat down with the group. His bitchy mood vanished into thin air, especially now that Gabriel wanted him as a bodyguard. He wants me?! Gabriel's going...My chance to be with him. "Ahh...yah...yes, I'll be your bodyguard. We'll both keep an eye out for each other, sure." Patting him on the back. His eyes twinkled again, now that he felt the adrenaline pump through his veins. The forbidden forest hey?

Remorse filled his heart, hearing Abriawna gently explaining her reason for inviting him. He felt awful, embarrassed, dreadful, about the way he presented himself tonight. What a fool I was...An apology was in order. "I have something to say, Abri. I am so sorry for the way I acted towards you. I just took it all out on you. Forgive me, sweetie." He held her hand and patted her shoulder with the other. "Of course I'll go with you! You need someone like me to protect you!" He said grinning, puffing out his chest. "Ach! Sorry for the delay guys! Shall we talk about our plans?" Good thing there was an extra bag in the kitchen for him to put a few supplies in...

He listened with interest now as the group chatted away. He smiled when Gabriel "took charge" saying that he would protect them. But inwardly he was confident that Gabriel would do his best, with the help of himself...of course.

He jolted in his chair, feeling a hand rubbing his thigh. Gabriel! He tried to look inconspicuous as his eyes darted from Gabriel to his thigh. Flushing, he felt relieved when Gabriel jumped up and got ready to go. Hesitating only for a moment, he too swung out of his seat and geared up. In a flash, Trogdor streaked out the door, yelling a challenge to Gabriel. Levi laughed heartily for the first time that day, tickled pink at the sight of what just happened. Keith scurried away chasing after that hufflepuff. "Let them go, I'm sure Keith will catch up to him in no time and bring him back. Let them play!" Chuckling along. "Ready you guys? Abri? Gabriel?"

Abriawna would definitely be lying if she said she wasn't the tinsey bit nervous about heading out into the forest, but she refused to let on that she didn't want to go. Seeing Trogdor book it off into the forest kind of surprised her. "That kid sure has guts! But he needs to be a little bit careful, can't just go running off from the group like that" The truth was she was in no hurry to get there herself.

The three of them entered the forest and it immediately got darker. The trees were thick and eerily creepy seemingly daring the group to walk deeper into the darkness. The girl swallowed hard, not wanting the others see that she was nervous. She turned to Gabriel and Levi and said " Thanks for coming guys! This is going to be great! Don't you think?"

I wonder where Trogdor and Keith are. Shouldn't they have made their way back by now? The girl silently thought to herself. Just then keith came jogging up to them with Trogdor practically being dragged behind him. "Um Trogdor... That was about the dumbest thing you could have done. You can't just run off by yourself. Are you looking to have this ending badly?" Abriawna scolded the boy. She wondered what he had been thinking.

"Guys, this needs to be said. Number one rule tonight.... We need to stay together. Understood?" She felt a bit like the mother figure saying that, but she wasn't going to be leaving her life in the hands of some stupid boys who don't think about consequences.

Gabriel looked up in surprise as Trogdor decided to run off like a dimwitted fool. At least the Ravenclaw had the sense to chase after the boy, and as Gabriel glanced in Levi's direction, he kinda wished that Abriawna had chased after them too. He looked up at them and nodded, smiling at Levi's excited reaction to being his own bodyguard. He noticed the look in Levi's eyes, and he too felt a surge pass through him. Gabriel eye'd the boy's physique under his shirt before standing up, clapping his hands and walking out with Abriawna and Levi, turning swiftly to conceal any chance of an enlarged area of fabric.

As they headed outside, he sighed in relief as Keith brought Trogdor back to the group. He agreed with Abriawna's scolding, but tried to play it cool. "Mate, I cant very well protect ya if ya run off like that." Gabriel felt that this could be one of those experiences that may aide him in the future. Upon being asked, Gabriel had read up on the different creatures and made sure he knew what types of magic would prove to be most effective, should they run into any issues. For the most part, he could handle everything, but if they came across those big ass spiders, he would have to think of something really swiftly.

Gabriel nodded to Abriawna's comment, and clapped his hands. "Shall we?" He took the lead and walked into the forest, glancing behind them to make sure they weren't being watched or followed by any professor types. The coast seemed clear enough, though just what he could see in the already dimming light wasn't going to be much use. Taking out his wand, he whispered, "Lumos.", gesturing for the others to do the same. The forest wasn't extremely dark yet, but he figured he might as well. His breath hovered a little as he made eye contact with Levi. Screw sticking together... Lets ditch these blokes and have our own fun.... mmmmmm......

"So Keith, when did ya catch up to him?" Gabriel chuckled and turned to Trogdor before Keith could respond, perhaps hoping that they would begin arguing over it. He smiled at the thought of Trogdor trying to justify his actions, and Keith's likely logical brain just exploding at how silly Trogdor was. "Trogdor, how far did ya get before he caught ya? Why did ya run off like that?" Gabriel shook his head, listening to the sounds of a few bird chirp above them. He stepped into a mud puddle, and exclaimed a sigh of annoyance. Kicking his foot around to get the mud off of it, he turned to the group. "Watch out for the mud!" Gabriel grabbed a stick off the ground and broke off the extra twigs, standing close to Levi and flexing his arms purposefully. He shone a grin at him and stuck the stick into the ground. "Ace! A walking stick!" His eyebrows raised at his next question, to Levi. "Want one, mate?" His eyes danced in amusement as he watched Levi. He was hopelessly drawn to Levi, but hopefully it wasn't blatantly obvious to everyone else. He pressed his lips together and looked out on the group. Perhaps Abriawna had something to say. It certainly looked like it.

Trogdor Williams
Hufflepuff 7th Year

Trogdor was never a person to jump right into things. So why would he go bolting into the Forbidden Forest all by himself? Clearly he would not be able to defend himself alone if trouble were to strike. So why would such a reckless thought ever cross his mind?

Truth was, Trogdor had no intention of getting separated from the group. When Trogdor walked into the room, the first person he noticed was Keith. But Trogdor had absolutely no idea who the other two people in the room were. The one guy which Trogdor didn't know, seemed like a person who didn't want anything to do with anyone. This intimidated Trogdor. A lot! Then there was the girl. Trogdor was torn about her. Part of him was scared half to death of her. But another was strangely attracted to her.

Trogdor running away was simply a way to get Keith separated from the rest of the group. Trogdor needed to know more about these strangers, but had no intention of actually asking them so this seemed like the best option. Once Trogdor had managed to get himself alone with Keith, he asked him about the other two. Keith was not impressed by Trogdor's questions. "That's why you ran off? You're lucky I came after you and didn't let you go." "Well it worked, didn't it?" "You got me there. So what do you want?"

Trogdor and Keith rejoined the group, and Gabriel made a comment towards Keith which was outside of Trogdor's hearing range. Gabriel turned to Trogdor. "Trogdor, how far did ya get before he caught ya? Why did ya run off like that?" I can't possibly tell him what I was really doing. "I . .I just wanted to get us all out and going. I was tired of waiting." Aside from a strange, mystified glance, it looked like he bought it.
