Keith shook his head at the sheer....Trogdorness... of that plan. Does he even use that thing between his ears? "That's why you ran off? You're lucky I came after you and didn't let you go. So what do you want?" After hearing Trogdor out, he replied, "well, I don't think you've anything to really worry about, in fact, I'd be much more worried about Abriawna and her schemes, than those two."

Anyway, he managed to haul Trogdor back to the rest of the group without too much fuss. So much for the bravado of the other guys in the group. Keith had a feeling that was more show that anything else. In fact, they almost seemed to be showing off to each other...hmm... Well, that would explain why they were here. But as long as it didn't put anyone in danger, it wasn't Keith's business, and he would keep his nose out of it.

Well, the others seemed to buy Trogdor's line, so he wasn't about to open his mouth and risk exposing him. "Now that that's out of the way, shall we?" He lit his wand, and started off slowly, hoping the others would follow. Trogdor hadn't gotten very far, and the woods had still been pretty sparse, so there was no problem there. But farther in, when the trees started to close in, Keith knew he'd be doing as much acting as the rest of them.

Levi was sweating buckets and had a very uneasy feeling down in his gut. He hated breaking the rules, especially when it had to do with the forbidden forest. When he broke them it was either for a good cause or because Abriawna dragged him into it. He never understood why she took pleasure in something dangerous, off limits, or both. She always begged him to come and relied on him most of the time to pull them both out of the situation they fell into.

Entering into the shadows of the unknown, his heart pounded with adrenaline and sheer terror. He envied the guts and enthusiasm Abriawna apparently had, but thought otherwise after hearing that little tweak in her voice. "Yeah, it'll be great!" He said half-heartedly with a lame chuckle. It'll be awful! He muttered to himself. It took all the strength and power he had to keep from dashing on the spot. He faked a brave smile and air about him just to impress the new guy, Gabriel. god he was attractive! Levi was thankful for the cover of the shadows as he blushed.

Levi nearly jumped out of his skin as Keith and Trogdor came into view crashing through the bush. Regaining composure, he sided with Abriawna as she rebuked Trogdor. Seeing Trogdor hang his head, he softened up and gave him a brotherly pat on the back. "Hey, it's all right. Promise that you won't run off like that again! You got me worried there for a bit."

Feeling loosened up a bit, he proceeded with the group, heading deeper into the dark. The light from their wands gave that extra suspense and eerie glow around them which made him all jittery again. He suddenly felt the sensation that someone or something was staring at him. Peering around, he turned and caught the gaze of Gabriel looking at him with such...interest? Did he just look me over?!! Definitely some chemistry here...They exchanged a silent conversation...it was like they could read each other's mind. I just want to get away from here. Let's go somewhere else where I can show you the time of your life...right nowww...

Well, so far so good! We haven't run into anything...yet. Hope it stays that way. Smiling in a while, he thought it was cute the way Gabriel was acting all brave and offering the walking stick to him. So he wants to flirt hey? Raising an eyebrow he grinned as he accepted the stick. "Thanks! Here, take my jacket. You'll need it. It gets chilly out here quick, if you haven't noticed already! I have another sweater I brought along, so go ahead." Handing the jacket over, his cheeks flamed again when he lightly brushed Gabriel's hand. Gazing upon him, he was totally oblivious where he was walking. Hearing Abriawna shouting in the distance, he snapped back and came face to face with a tree, mere inches from impact. Levi felt so foolish at the moment with everyone turning to stare at him. Abriawna gave one of those "what do you think you're doing" glare and rolled her eyes. "Err...I thought I saw something in the shadows." he said lamely. Flustered, he ignored the looks from her questioning eyes that were darting back and forth from Gabriel and him.

Abriawna could hardly hold back her laughter as her best friend nearly walked right into the tree. She couldn't be sure but she was quite certain that it was Gabriel that had Levi distracted. She gave him the dumbest look to tell him that he was an idiot. Something she often did when he did something less than stellar. She didn't feel bad about it either because he returned the favour when she was an idiot.

The girl picked up the pace a little. If they were going to have any sort of adventure tonight they needed to get beyond the borders to where the real danger was. She was hoping the others would follow her she looked back and noticed that she had pulled ahead of the group somewhat. "Are you guys coming or what?" she called out with a slight chuckle. Just then a loud cracking sound came from the left. It startled the girl. She jumped and then turned red in the face realizing it was just a small branch breaking underneath her foot. It was a good thing that Levi hadn't seen that or else she would have gotten pay back for what she did to him.

Abriawna looked behind her again noticing that no one was really paying attention to her at all. She grinned to herself as she thought about how fun it would be to scare everyone as they walked by. "Nox" the girl whispered and the light on her wand extinguished. She stood there silently waiting for someone to walk by.

Gabriel did not buy Trogdor's story. But he also didn't really care to pressure the boy into telling the truth, as it promised to be much less interesting anyway. Gabriel turned to stare at Levi, glancing the boy over, undressing him with his eyes. His grin widened as Levi began to strip for him, and he gratefully accepted the jacket, whispering ''Nox'' and letting Keith and Trogdor move head. He glanced back at them, and turned to see Levi almost walk right into a tree! He chuckled and came up behind Levi after he screamed and wrapped his hand around his mouth and pulled him into the trees away from the group.

He could sense that Levi was fighting him, and he struggled to contain the boy in his arms. He whipped him around and shielded his face from what was sure to be a punch, saying "Hey! It's me!" He pushed Levi back against a tree and kissed him for a moment before pulling back. "Man, having ya right here, right now. It would be so hot... But I think we should stick with the group." He fought back his urges and took Levi's hand and pulled him along with him, crouching between the leaves and branches.

"Let's scare them." he whispered, taking out his wand. It was rather dark, but he couldn't use any wand light or his plans would be foiled. He thought he saw them walking by, but couldn't see who it was behind the lights. Glancing back at Levi, he ran towards them from the side with the intent to scare them, but ended up tripping over an upturned tree root, and flew right on top of Trogdor, landing with a thud on the boy's chest. Gabriel burst out laughing, and rolled off the boy, offering a hand to help him up, though he still wasn't sure who he landed on, or how badly he'd knocked the air out of him. "Ahh, she'll be apples, mate. I only meant to scare ya but I tripped! Er.... Who is this?" Gabriel had dropped his wand in the fall, and it was lying somewhere around them, though he couldn't see it.

What the hell is he doing? As if Trogdor wasn't enough on edge as it were, Gabriel decides he wants to scare him? What a jerk! But whatever. Clearly he's just like every other guy he knows. And of course he has to land right on his leg. It's not like Trogdor needs to be using that anytime soon. :vangry!:

As Trogdor got up, he was glad to find out that that clown hadn't damaged his leg much at all. Sure it hurt a little bit, but it wasn't anything unmanageable. "Don't mind me guys, I'm alright." No response. Thanks guys, I'm glad you care so much. Trogdor glanced around. Wait. What? Where is everyone? "Hey. Where did the rest of them go?" Trogdor muttered as he looked back at Gabriel.

Keith rolled his eyes as Levi walked straight into a tree. This is the forbidden forest for goodness sake! Keep your eyes open, or running into trees will be the least of your worries. He looked ahead at the path, and continued walking. Geez, could those two be any more obvious? They seriously need to just get a room.

Trogdor was talking at him. He looked over and nodded, uninterested in what he might be saying. He began to tune him out as they continued, nodding and grunting as needed. Does this guy ever shut up? He sped up a little, hoping Trogdor would get the idea.

After a while, Trogdor seemed to get the idea. Ah, peace and quiet. They continued in silence. Wait... thought Keith, Trogdor's being a little too quiet. He turned around. Trogdor, and everyone else for that matter, were out of sight. He thought he could hear some rustling a ways off... but that could be anything. He certainly didn't want to run into any of the forest's inhabitants, thinking they might be the group.

His heart raced as it began to sink in that he was alone. In the forbidden forest. Where the trees were so thick you couldn't see the stars. He started to run, and jumped at every tree branch that grabbed at him and tore his robes. He tripped on a root, and fell hard. His vision swam as he blacked out...

Levi paused for a moment to regain his composure after the near embarrassment. Stooping down to retie his shoelaces, he did not hear the others as they walked on. "Ok guys! Let's get moving!" Standing up, he noticed that he was alone. "Um guys? Wait up!" Where did they vanish off too? "Ok guys, not funny." There was no movement. Just silence. Sensing an eerie feeling that someone or something was behind him, he froze. All of a sudden, he was grabbed by unseen hands and hurled out a holler. Even though his screams were muffled, he kicked, squirmed, and punched viciously, getting stronger by the second. If this didn't harm the opponent, then he would have to use his powers to get out of this one. Fists quenched, he prepared to give his final blow. "Huh? Gabriel? That you?" Picking his wand off the forest floor, he shone it close to his face. "Oh my god Gabriel! Y-you gave me a heart attack! Don't do that again! I would have shredded you to pieces! Are you ok? Are you hurt?..."Levi's next question was muffled as Gabriel smothered him with a kiss. After the release, he panted, shocked by the sudden move from Gabriel. "Um yeah...stick with the group..."ending on a squeaky pitch. "Achem! Gabriel, I think we lost them...or they lost us."

Crouching under the trees, Levi watched as Gabriel took off running to scare the unsuspecting Trogdor. Levi's hand flew up to his mouth when Gabriel ridiculously tipped and flew on top of the boy. Poor Trogdor. Levi came out from his hiding place to investigate the tangled scene. "Gabriel, you landed on top of Trogdor...and I believe this is yours?" Presenting the wand. "It must have flew from your hands when you tripped. It landed where I was."

What was that?! There was crashing through the woods and then...silence. And then a groan. Feeling a burst of courage, Levi ran to where he heard the moans. Shining his wand around, he searched. The rays of light caught a form crumpled on the ground. Taking a closer look, he saw it was Keith. The boy was unconscious. He had scratches on his arms and face, his robes were torn, but this did not concern Levi. There was a gash on his forehead and it was bleeding badly. He rummaged through and took out the supply kit he managed to stuff in his backpack, when they were in the kitchens. He pulled out a roll of gaze and applied it to the cut, adding pressure. Where was Gabriel? Trogdor? and where the hell did Abriawna go? Everyone was disappearing! He had to find them, but couldn't leave Keith alone. "Gabriel!" He yelled. "Trogdor! Abriawna! Where are you! Come over here! Keith has been hurt! Over here!" He shouted at the top of his lungs and listened, hoping to hear a voice. Levi didn't know what he would do if there was no answer.

Abriawna was less than impressed that her idea to scare everyone had faltered. No one had even noticed she was missing, let alone walked by her in order for her to jump out. So much for having my fun... she thought to herself. Why hadn't Levi even noticed she was missing? Oh right! Because he was too busy snogging in the trees with his new crush. The girl of course, couldn't be sure that was true, but she was pretty good at figuring things out and she didn't know why else it would have gotten so quiet and dark all of a sudden. She wasn't angry at Levi, she was happy for him, but she was annoyed that he hadn't even looked around for her.

She trudged out from behind her tree into a small clearing. "Lumos!" she said as she lit her path. Abriawna slowly turned around in a circle taking in her surroundings hoping to see her group, but what she found was that she was completely alone. Everyone had wandered off. She had seen Trogdor and Keith wander ahead but she hadn't noticed Levi or Gabriel take off. Man, even with my wand, it's hard to see around here. She listened for footsteps or even voices but all she heard was the eerie sounds of the leaves rustling in the breeze. She was starting to get a little nervous about being alone. Abriawna started walking along the small path and then she heard what she thought was Levi's voice in the distance. "Gabriel! Trogdor! Abriawna! Where are you! Come over here! Keith has been hurt! Over here!"

"Hang on Levi! I'm coming!" She yelled as she ran towards them. It didn't take her very long to get there and she nearly tripped over the same thing that Keith had. Turning to Levi with an angry look she said "Where the hell have you been? I thought we were supposed to stay together? Now look what happened. Also, where on earth are the other two? Her words had come out rather harsh and she was certain it was only because she was terrified inside. She sighed and apologized to her best friend, letting him know that she hadn't really meant the anger that had just come out of her mouth.

She looked down at Keith and saw that Levi's hands were covered in blood as he was trying to stop the wound from bleeding and he was looking slightly frantic. "Here, let me help you with this. You were never very good when blood was concerned. she told him half chuckling, trying to make the mood lighter even though she was terrified. "Episkey" No sooner had the spell left her lips then the wound started to close and the blood stopped flowing. "See. Good as new." She said and playfully punched Levi in the arm.

Abriawna stood up and took a few steps back, tripping over a stump herself and then fell over. the girl suddenly heard some movement behind her and whipped her wand and shone it in the direction. She let out a blood curdling scream. Just as one grabbed her leg. "LEVI! ACROMANTULAS!" She flailed and squirmed and kicked with her one free leg and the spider like creature let go. She scurried away on her hands and knees when she bumped into another one. "STUPIFY!" she shouted. The girl knew that it would only temporarily stun the creature but maybe it would be enough for them to get away. There were two more coming out of the trees now, if they didn't do something fast they were going to end up at a colony feast. "GABRIEL! HELP!" she screamed. She had no idea where that boy was, but she was praying that he would show up fast before it was too late.

Gabriel smiled as Levi relaxed in his kiss, and nodded at his suggestion to go find them. As he ended up landing on Trogdor, he picked himself up and gratefully accepted his wand back from Levi, examining it to make sure he hadn't damaged it in the fall. Gabriel glanced back up at Trogdor as he spoke. "Oh, I'm sorry, mate. Are ya all right? I'm a big boi, I is." He sent a grin and a raised eyebrow Levi's direction before the moment was snapped off and they rushed forward. Gabriel took Trogdor aside and made sure he was ok, before Levi's voice cut like a knife.

"Oh my God!" Gabriel exclaimed as they rushed forward, but he wasn't exactly sure where he'd heard Levi and the called out again. "Where are ya Levi?" He was almost cut off by Abriawna's cry and a flash of green light lit up the scene to his left.

With his wand tightly in his hand, he rushed into what was sure to be a massacre and Immediately threw a shield over Abriawna and her corpse, Keith. He yelled out "Stupify!" as well, stunning the creature enough to make it's body drop to the ground for a moment, before rushing in and picking hugging Abriawna and Levi. He turned to the left and saw an Acromantula behind Trogdor, and he fired off another stunning spell before Trogdor was swept off his feet, or eaten alive.

"Trogdor! Get over here!" Gabriel yelled in anger. Turning to Levi, he grabbed his shoulders with his hands and shook him a little. "Levi, ya watch this one," he stated, pointing at the currently stunned creature, "and I'll watch for more. Abriawna, see if ya can heal or at least wake Keith up! I don't want to carry him out of here unless I absolutely have to." The Acromantula that almost had Trogdor in his clutches was already stirring, and shrieked so loud Gabriel had to cover his ears from the noise. He fired off another Stupify at it to shut it up, but turned to his friends worriedly. "More are on their way!!! Hurry up!"

Gabriel knew that their stunning spells wouldn't hold them off for long. He thought back to his one year of care of magical creatures back home and remembered something about these spiders being afraid of one enemy only... the Basilisk. Gabriel waved his wand at the nearest tree and began to recite the incantation over and over, he'd never turned something this big into a serpent, but he did have a knack at this kind of magic. The tree arched and swayed and slowly the roots pulled out of the ground, a creaking sound shook the earth beneath them as it grew an enormous head and began to hiss. The magic wasn't fool proof, but it was scaring the spiders off anyway. It began to attack the remaining spider, Gabriel shaking with the effort it took to control such insane magic.

Trogdor could no longer make sense of anything. He heard the screams coming from every direction. "Trogdor. Get over here!". Here? Where is here? That voice is coming from everywhere.

All of the sudden, Trogdor found himself in between three giant spiders. Trogdor had no idea what to do now. He couldn't find any trace of his friends. He could no longer trust his ears. And now he was staring death in the face.

Then he had an idea. "Patronus!" Trogdor was then blinded by a symphony of various hues of blue. Then everything went dark.

Keith woke to the sound of shouting. He shook his head to try and clear his head, which felt like someone had dropped a bag of hammers on it. Waves of dizziness swept over him, and he nearly fainted again. Gripping the earth with his hands to try and hold on, somehow, he slowly looked around. There was Abriawna standing over him, looking up at something. He sat up to try and see what it was. An enormous serpent reared and snapped, trying to reach them. It thrashed against the nearby trees, howling and hissing. Trees. They were in the forest. The forbidden forest. And god, how close the trees were, and seemingly closing in. 'No!' thought Keith. 'Not again'. Clenching his fists even tighter, he fought back against the darkness. 'No! Your friends need you! Isn't this why you've been studying magic so hard? So nothing like that would ever happen again?' Determination began to swell within him. 'First, find your wand'. He looked around, but it was nowhere to be seen. He thought 'Accio wand' as loud as he could, but could feel no response. Looking up again, Abriawna, Levi, and Gabriel were desperately shooting spells at the basilisk, who seemed to be stuck somehow. He couldn't see how. Still, it appeared to be pulling free. Something had to be done, and quickly. Pouring all of his rage and frustration into it, he yelled towards the nearby trees. "Animatus!" The trees began to move, their branches waving, their roots creaking, as they rose out of the ground, and approached the basilisk. Moonlight began to pour down into the clearing they left. In the light, he noticed something strange. The basilisk seemed different from what he'd read. And he was certain he'd looked into it's eyes earlier, but he was certainly still alive, as were the others. He looked down at its tail. It seemed...woody... and stuck in the ground. Like a root. What the heck was going on?
