You walk into a tent that has been set up just outside of the Quidditch pitch. It is empty except for a single tall round crystal table that holds a shiny black box on top of it. As soon as your eyes fall upon it you hear a voice echoing all around you. The source of the voice is unknown and the voice has been distorted in a way so that you can not tell if it is male or female. "Hello and congratulations once again, Andre Krum, on being chosen as a Hogwarts Gryffindor House Champion! I'm sure you are quite curious as to what is being kept inside of that shiny little black box mere feet away from you? Oh the suspense! Well, we mustn't keep you waiting! If you step forward and open the box you will find what exactly lies ahead for you in this task." Once you reach the box you open it only to find find a live miniature of a dragon. "Isn't it just exquisite! Well, if you haven't guessed you will be facing a dragon in this task. How exciting it will be! Don't you agree? This is here is the Chinese Fireball. I figured it'd be rather festive to place you against a dragon close to your own house color. Clever is it not? I for one thought it was a rather good idea! Get your House Spirit flaring! This dragon normally only feeds on sheep but that does not mean you should take this situation lightly. For Merlin's sake it is still a dragon! Now what must you do this task? Well I will gladly fill you in! There is a golden egg that was given to this dragon two weeks ago. You must retrieve this egg at any cost. I would like to hope you have spells and charms in your arsenal that will be sure to aid you in this task! Also note that retrieving this egg is vital for your teammate in the next task. That egg will be your housemates freedom.....OH! I think I've said too much! Dear me, I get so excited sometimes! Well then if you run into any trouble simply send red sparks into the air and aid will soon find you. If you look to your right you will notice a door. At the sound of the canon you well enter through that door that will lead you to a passage into the dragon pit. Good Luck Andre Krum, and may the best house win!" **In case you have not read the rules and information thread you only need to post once after this thread but you must post AT LEAST 1000 words.** |

The day had started out as normal for Andy. He had woken up, feeling so positive about himself. After finding out he had been chosen, he began to practice and prepare himself, so obviously now the young was very much pleased he can finally put all those month he spent to good use. Before the task was about to begin, he spent his time keeping his mind calm, a clear head is exactly what he needed to make through this task. Andy didn’t know what to expect with his task. Why did he feel all of the sudden that slight pang of nervousness? When Andy felt he was ready to do this. He knew what he signed up for when he put his in the goblet all those months ago. He waited patiently until his time had come and so it has at long last. He was more feeling so excited about today, but time draw near for the task to start he was feeling less positive. Entering the tent he was struck by the emptiness. There was nothing in it. Not a single object. Expect for a crystal round table. What was a table...crystal for that matter doing in here? And on it was a small shiny box. The light within the tent made the box gleam more than it was already. A black box was mystery, suspense of what is yet to come. He didn’t expect to hear a voice out of nowhere to appear. Where was it coming from? He questioned as he listened to it speak. Welcoming him, congratulating him, even knowing Andy’s curiosity over what exactly is contained in the box. A dragon! Andy was amazed at the live mini dragon. He put his hand it and took it out, holding it in the palm as he watched in wonder. The voice told him it was a Chinese Fireball he’d be facing in the task. This was proving to be exciting and he hasn’t even started the task yet. The most important yet just came and that was to retrieve an egg. The seventh year remembered just now, by looking at this dragon, that his father faced the same thing and went through the same task. Looking to his right as the voice had said, he noticed the door. Before going to stand in front of it to wait for the canon to go off, he had put the dragon back in the box and closed it, allowing his fingers to run over the closed smooth black lid. Andy rubbed his hands together closed his eyes for moment and at the sound of the canon he took out his wand, opened the door and made his way through the dark passage that would lead to the dragon’s pit. The light at the end began to get bigger and he suddenly found himself in the Dragon’s pit. The roaring and thunder of the other students cheering for him as he entered was heard. The young Gryffindor dared not to look as he moved cautiously, his eyes on the Chinese Fireball who now was looking at him for he had seen him. It was as if time began to slow down, the noise around him dimed to nothing but silent and it became only him and the dragon. Just the two of them. As quickly as time can stop, it began and Andy quick on feet just then was able to cast a spell. Repello!” he would say waving his wand, as he repelled the fire sent his way by the dragon. He went behind some rocks beside him as another wave of the dragon’s fire was sent his way. Only peaking slightly out from behind the dragon it was no wear insight, but the gasps of the crowd had him look above him as the dragon’s tail came flying down from him. Andy dodged it, barely, falling towards the ground and shifting to avoid hitting his head. Scrambling away low on the ground he put a bit of distance and another large rocks before him. Andy was panting now as he stayed alert on the dragon’s whereabouts. Okay so he had to clearly up with a plan, obviously he needed to come up with one right now. Andy face grew serious. What was he doing delaying coming up with a plan and simply waiting. He jumped up onto the rocks he hid behind and began to head towards the golden Egg. His movements where quick, such agility was inherited for quidditch, his reflexes where quick, his talent in non verbal spells made it easier to cast spells. Andy simply just began casting Reducto and Defodio, the first was used to destroy anything in path. As for the second spell it simply just made in solid objects when he needed it be. And right now he was using it to trap the dragon in its place. Andy was that close to getting the egg, it was only a reach away; he could taste and feel victory near. Time seemed all lost for him and it didn’t matter, but maybe it should. A scorching strike of pain struck his the young Krum, and as a result he had a very serious gash in more places than one side of his body as the dragon had struck him. Just the slightest, but even then it was enough. Andy held on his wand and casted one last spell he could think of, with as much power and control he could muster. It very well could have been the Flippendo spell, in any ways he had used to it to blast the dragon back in giving him a chance to cast ‘Defodio' again to make a escape near him. Andy soon caught something in the corner of his eyes and jumped, gripped the broom with ease and was flying away back to the entrance of the passage he just came out off. Everything became a bit hazy for Andy, despite being still conscious. Though as he was helped away back to the tents be could make out cheers and holding something shiny in his arms. Could it be the egg? He was sure it was, having grabbed it at the moment he was struck by the dragon. He simply waited patiently, reflecting as best as he could on what just happened, as his wounds where tended to by healers before he was able to leave the area or do anything else. |
