Picking nations

I've been thinking of some of the ways to start conflicts in our roleplays, and one of the things I figured we could do is sort of pick nations to roleplay, nations in the IR/SG/RG universes. For instance, I know in SG the US, UK, Germany, France, and Russia all have low-orbiting battleships, while Australia has mechs (other nations might too, but yeah). I figure if we each sort of pick a nation, any nation, and run off with it, we might be able to get more conflict-driven roleplays out there.

What do you all think? Or would it be better to just freely play nations as we please?

I like that idea. Now, are some things, I'm trying to understand what went on the universes.

1) Did Sapphire destroy any nations in the RG universe? I know she destroyed a good bit of Australia, now.

2) Do police officers still go on killing sprees, slaughtering rapists, or did that end when the lesbian mouse who started it got her just desserts when she tried to take advantage of Rumor?

3) Will we be meeting any of Kitfox's characters?

Is a good idea.
Just a thought: might smaller and less powerful nations (i.e Ireland, Japan, etc) be alingened with larger nations?
Like I said, just a thought.

I'd be OK with that, but it's a lot easier to just control one nation. If someone starts to control a bunch of them, they can really throw their weight around (like if someone took all of Europe, China, and the US, lol). I'd stick with one, but I'd let two slide.

Hrm... I am tempted to take Egypt... Thats the place I always take when I play Risk after all xD

Edit: Though that may not be possible in this Rp world, since IR is has something to do with Egypt.

Personally I don't mind if you take Egypt, lol. I do think Australia should kind of be left alone though, for all of us to RP XD. But I can be convinced otherwise.

I'll take the United States for the IR, and my character in the Sealab in the RG is half-Canadian and 1/4 American and 1/4 Australian (but he works for the American gov).

Hi all!

If you're going to divvy up nations, you might want it to be set in pre-SG time. That's when it would have been most interesting ^^ That would also eliminate the OP Marsupials. And if you wanted some more recent history of the sg world, and if you haven't seen it, there was a short comic I did called Divergent History that explained alot of stuff
