Frederick 'Nine' James Species: Labrador Height: 6ft Colour: Golden Frederick is the son of a middle class family "sometime in the Victorian Era". His family had strong ties to America, and during Fredericks younger days, they moved out their, becoming involved with the expansion of the Railroad Network. Frederick loved the railways, but overall missed the "Green and Pleasant Land" that had been the home of his youth. Through their contacts, his parents found him a role with the Illinois and Atlantic Railroad company as their UK representitive, advertising the companies services to immigrants and travellers. At the news of the launch of a new high in Rail technology, the company tasked Fred with riding on the "Golden Mane" luxury train and invesitigating its design for application back in the states. He's well suited for this task, being a trained photographer and also a generally easy-going pleasent person well suited to interviewing people for information. The attached image depicts Frederick in his younger days, learning to fence at his family home. Unfortunately, due to the scale of the picture the reason for his nickname of "Nine" isn't clear. The fact of the matter is that the last joint of his ring finger on the right hand is missing. Depending on his mood, he'll either tell you that he lost it duel defending a ladies honour or the truth, that it got cut off in a door during his cub-hood.* Reference for the fencing stance on digitigrade legs from: http://kerl-of-fox-county.deviantart.com/favourites/43076029#/d2u572u The fencing armour is slightly referenced on the pic for the strapping whilst the mask is my design :-) *Partially based on a true-life experience. Whilst i'm not called Frederick and i'm not a labrador** the tip of my right ring finger is missing following an accident when I was 3 months old. Whilst the nail is still present, it's not "normally formed", making it a dashed nuisance to cut! ** I am a gentle natured, easy going type though! |
