Alrighty then. Gots me a little contest in mind.

A sort of bonding event for the board, a little something to do for fun.

I'm sure there are some of us who say they're much better at writing then drawing, just as much as there are some of us who are better at drawing then writing. The goal here is to combine them both.

One person writes a piece, while another person draws a picture for said piece.

One person draws a picture, while another person writes a piece about it.

You get the idea. This way everyone can apply their own personal talents while getting to know eachother through our work, for any work, whether it is considered "good" or "bad" can tell a lot about a person.

There are no restrictions on the length/style of the writing, or the detail of the pictures, you put in as much effort as you want. No restrictions on topic either, aside from the "keep it safe for the board" rule that applies regardless. If you REALLY want to write something completely non-board safe, post it elsewhere, but be aware that other people may not be inclined to look at it.

Having multiple drawings for one piece of writing and vice versa are totally okay. You can also write/draw for multiple pieces of work.

As for prizes, this contest is mostly for fun, so don't expect too much. I will however, give away a drawing or write something for the top three. If anyone else wants to offer prizes out of the goodness of their heart, that's their choice.

I will be viewing and judging every entry, and all entries will be judged individually. I'd like to invite people to help judge the work with me. Judges MAY participate in the contest, but at the agreement that they cannot vote for their own work (obviously) If you're interested in judging, come tell me.

This is a chance for everyone to be creative and have fun, that's what we're all here for, it's more important than winning. Don't be afraid even if you think your work sucks (mine isn't exactly the best, I know that for sure) you're being judged for effort, not merely aesthetics.
I'm thinking of putting the deadline about three weeks away from now (Ending around April 19, we can make extensions/reductions as required) Although I encourage you to submit your work earlier, so I and any other judges have some time to evaluate, don't rush though!

TL:DR...Fun contest, write stuff/draw stuff, draw stuff/write stuff, compete, have fun. Department of Redundancy Department is redundant...

Questions? Comments? Suggestions? Words of kindness? Words of hatred? Straight up indifference? Feel free to discuss it with me.

I fully endorse this idea ^^ I'll try to brainstorm up something ^^

Now is it One person writes something, while the other makes an image; and then vice versa? (where the artist then writes something the writer has to draw) Or is it just one-way?

Schweet! ^^

I was thinking of having it be more one way, so that we don't force people into an area they're not comfortable with. But...everyone can enter the contest an unlimited amount of times with either writing or drawing, so if a pair of people wanted to try doing it that way, it's perfectly fine.

Basically, it's an option, but nobody's forced to do so.

Does it matter if the skill of the drawer is reduced to stick figures and what not? I am decent with CAD though.

Well, I did say anything goes, so I'd have to accept said stick figures XD Guess it depends how much effort one puts into the stick figures, since I doubt a solitary stick figure is going to get too far in the ratings, maybe a stick comic or something.
It's all for fun, so if one were inclined to draw sticks or write six word stories, I suppose they're all perfectly valid entries in their own little way X3

You don't have to draw living creatures, I don't think. I personally could write a perfectly good story if someone used CAD to design a house, and with the right software, add backgrounds and such.
Whereas organics are more my strong point than things like armor and houses when drawing. I need help drawing strait lines and perfect circles. The "human" form is so much more forgiving than a suit of armor.

For me its the anthro form. I personaly have the WORST time ever drawing humans.

There's really not that much of a difference. The muscles all connect about the same way. The hands may be a little different, and of course the head is different, but for the most part anthros still have a large amount of the human form left to still be considered human to me.

Sounds like fun! So someone draws or writes something, then someone else picks whethers they wish to do the opposite to it? I can think of a few things that I could sketch or draw :-)

Uhh, technically...it already ended...apparently just about EVERYONE forgot XD and I've been hellishly busy for weeks.

Good thing I said I'd be making extensions as necessary. Let's try this again, we'll give everyone another month before deadline. You can go ahead and put up what you have.

Likewise on the hellishly busy, not quite finished yet, either. However, I have one picture offer now, and might add a writing for someone to illustrate shortly.

"Looks at DevilFoxes pic and cracks knuckls" right then. Airships vs planes. Showtime! :D

Edit: Gah! Second time today! Right, image now attached.
