I've broken this into three sections as it's ended up being quite long!
The first part is a re-cap of the charachters whose details have already been published, with a few more details added. I'll tidy it in the future, but hopefull the following is enough to run with. Comments or enquireies are welcome and appreciated :D

Captain Skye Southclaw:
Species: Coyote (F)
Age: 24
Height: 5’5
Weight: 9stone 6lbs

Skye was, until recently, the heir to the Southclaw Company. However, the First son (her uncle) then adopted the illegitimate offspring of a company member and then named him as his heir, much to the child’s chagrin. Skye, having grown up alongside the child, had grown fond of him and also knew he could probably handle the roll, even if he didn’t think so himself. She also believed that he rather cared for her. Unfortunately, so did his two half brothers. Wishing to punish their brother for breaking up their family and then running away, they set to hunting him down. To lure him into a trap, they claimed to have kidnapped Skye (she was actually away on a phoney business mission, initially). Feeling responsible, the other child, now a young man, decided that the best way to set Skye free was to turn himself in, let them kill him and the leave Skye with the job and life she deserved. The brothers plan somewhat misfired when Skye realised she’d been tricked, tracked her friend down and rescued him. Or he rescued her. It got rather confused, Skye got injured and when she woke up in a hospital rest-room the young man had gone, not wanting to put her in danger.

When the Wayfarer was built, she took the Captains roll for herself as it would allow her to travel, ostensibly to broker a deal with (or sink) some pirates that had been attacking her shipping but really to have one last meeting with her childhood friend, to find out what he truly thought of her.
The rest, as they say, is history.

Beyond the short back-story, Skye is quite a tough lass, ready for action and with a sarcastic streak. However, she’s also true to her coyote heritage, and has a strong sense of mischief hidden under the serious front she puts on whilst working.

In appearance, she’s fairly wiry, like most coyotes. Her most distinctive features are her pale fur and a notch in her right ear, a memento of the rescue.

Kal Southclaw (Skye’s Brother and the ships general nuisance):
Species: Coyote (M)
Age: 24
Height: 5’6
Weight: 10stone 3lbs
Kal is Skye’s twin brother, born shortly after she was. Whilst intelligent and capable of running a ship or a firm as well as Skye (Indeed, he has stood in for her when needs be), he much prefers to be free, performing, showing off or occasionally just playing pranks on people. He has also been known to be sent on jobs where Skye’s gentle touch won’t work and something a little bit more pointed is needed. This is often supplied by one of the multitude of throwing knives stashed around his person which he can throw with great accuracy. He’s also a master of the “Tricksters Hand”, Southclaw Tradeings internally manufactured self defence device.

Wherever Skye goes, Kal usually isn’t far behind, either to support her or to annoy her. He also enjoys travelling, and displaying his skills to new audiences wherever he goes. However, his sister recently dyed his ears blue for brawling. However, what she didn’t know is that the incident actually displayed a slightly more hidden side of Kal, that of a gentleman. The brawl had been to stop someone stalking on of their female staff. Being pinned to the wall by a flight of knives and then having a furious ‘yote in your face certainly does cause people to back off.
When he heard Skye was taking the Wayfarer to England, Kal instantly volunteered to tag along. Someone had told him the pirate vessel had an all female crew. That their view on men wasn’t the best only made him view it as a challenge….

And the rest, as they say, is history!

In appearance, Kal shares his sisters’ markings and wiry build but his fur is closer to the coyote norm, lacking her lighter tones. He also sports blue ears, as mentioned in the text above. Whilst initially a punishment, he’s come to value how they make him distinct and the centre of attention, to the point he re-applies the dye at times.

Erika (Skye’s Aide):
Species: Eastern European Silver Fox (F)
Age: 22
Height: 5’2”
Weight: 7stone 12lbs
Erika came to joining the Southclaw Trading group under rather tragic circumstances. Her family left Eastern Europe, seeking a new life in the Americas, when Erika was roughly ten. Tragically, the vessel suffered a catastrophic boiler failure off America’s coast, setting the boat alight and causing serious damage. Erika was plucked from the water by a male red fox on a Southclaw vessel which went to the aid of the stricken immigrant vessel. Her parents, however, were not amongst the survivors. Whilst she can’t remember seeing them die, the image of the flames on the water has forever been etched on her memory. When they found out that the young girl was an orphan, the male fox agreed with his wife to adopt her. She was, therefore, taught at the Southclaw School, a few years younger then Skye. The older girls compassionate nature (the same which had lead her to earlier make friends with Kerl) lead her to becoming firm friends with the shy newcomer and when Skye finished training for leadership of the company, Erika was next to her as a loyal friend and confederate.

When hearing about Skye’s promotion to Wayfarer’s captain, Erika decided it was time to face her fear ships and go with her friend back to Europe.
Erika can be quite shy and withdrawn when she’s first getting to know people, however she has learnt well the traits of boldness and initiative that Southclaw Trading favour. This has leaded her to her current situation, where she’s made close friends with a young ninja who she held up a gunpoint on their first meeting. Life’s an odd duck, ain’t it?

This page contains a guest charachter, alongside those who will appear, primarly, only when the ship is concerned directly. As Kerili's recent escapade with Yuri demonstrated, they've been known to wander off occasionally!

Tyre
Species: Coyote, technically. However, he’s large enough rumour has it he’s actually a coywolf or even might have a bear somewhere in his ancestry. (M)
Age: 34
Height: 6’6”
Weight: 230lbs
Tyre has worked for the Southclaw Trading group since he was young, his family being strongly connected to the Southclaws as one of the partners in the firm.

He always had an interest in water, and his strength soon landed him a position working amongst the ship-loaders. However, during a skirmish with pirates his leadership skills were discovered and he was promoted as the first officer, under Skye (despite her being younger, she is second in line for the company.), of the newly built Q-Ship/Smuggling vessel Wayfarer.

He also, usually (when he’s not had to fight shadow monsters or had mad people blow mock confetti bombs up on his front deck), a friendly, sociable and easy-going soul, something of a gentle giant. This virtue attracted him a mate, who waits for him along with his first child back in the America’s.

Narad ‘Papa’ Greywing
Species: Crow (M)
Age: 46
Height 5’
Weight: 6Stone
Another long standing family within the Southclaw company, Narad is the Wayfarers main chef, sometimes assisted by other crew members who wish to develop their own skills.
He is an amiable character, as long as you don’t try to mess with his food, then he gets annoyed. His nickname of ‘Papa’ stems from his warm-hearted nature and the fact that his son, Aaran, called him it in front of the whole crew, from which point on it kind of stuck.

Aaran Greywing
Species: Crow (M)
Age: 18
Height: 5’1”
Weight: 6Stone 2lbs
Narad’s Son, Aaran is a well meaning soul, but can be brusque with those who he doesn’t know well. He hasn’t taken to his dads love of cooking, however the bond between the two is quite strong so he signed up for the Wayfarer as one of it’s lookouts, alongside his cousin, Raf.

Raf Greywing
Species: Crow (F)
Age: 18
Height: 4’11
Weight: 4stone 8lbs
Raf is one of the crew more eccentric members. Whilst well meaning, she can be uncoordinated and clumsy and has a tendency to talk very fast as her tongue tries to keep up with a mind which is rambling over several things at once. She’s also quite superstitious and, for reasons unknown to all but herself, picked out one of her own shed feathers as ‘lucky’ and insists on keeping it with her.

Kerili Silverhand

Species: Grey Fox
Age: 27
Height: 5’
Weight: 9stone
Kerili comes from a long line of Grey Foxes that still have the healing powers associated with the species in Native American folklore. Hearing of her talents, her skills were acquired for the Wayfarer as it’s the most likely ship in the Southclaw fleet to need a healer with that little edge that magic provides.
Kerili is an outgoing, vibrant character and is strongly curious to pretty much anything that crosses her path she decides in unusual (whether it be assassins or a new gizmo). She also has a highly developed sense of mischief.
To look at, she’s distinctly plump. Whether this is due to her insatiable sweet tooth or her “healing energy store”, or some combination of the two, is unknown. However, under the soft exterior she still has the muscles her ancestors developed for climbing, giving her surprising agility when needed.

Dakota

Species: Coyote (F)
Age: 30
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 10 stone 12lbs
Outspoken and boisterous, Dakota is an unrestrained flirt with a distinctly dirty sense of humour, which she delights on inflicting on her more staid room-mate, Erika (and her equally easily embarrassed partner, Lee, apparently!). However, she’s actually quite a caring soul underneath the forwardness, and looks out for her friends.

She works on the ship as one of its trade representatives, using her personality for securing information, clients and contracts for the ship and its sisters to move.

Athers
Species: Coyote (M)
Age: 27
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 10 stone
For a coyote, Athers is actually quite quiet and restrained, leaning towards bookish. However, Dakota appears to have set her sights on him, so he might end up being bought out of his shell, whether he likes it or not!
Athers is one of the ships engineering team.

Spike (Courtesy of Devilfox)

Species: Aarad Wolf
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 172 lbs. (Kerl's note: This is something i'll add to my charachters once i've figured what it should be and how it should be calculated. Any prompts are welcome!)

Spike has a really good nose for things, including chemicals, which makes him good for:
Sniffing out poison in food and drink... and cleaning

He has a shameful habit of remembering perfumes and aftershaves... so now he can almost say hi to a person before they are in the room, just by there fragrance of choice.

He never fit in in America, so he kind of just tags along with anyone who would take him.

The last section will have a little more on the ship itself and the more general crew. However, as it isn't written yet, I can't post it yet! :P

Kind of. I actually use both (England can't deside whether we want to stick with imperial or move to metric), but prefer pounds and ounces for large measures, such as people. What I was getting at, though, was how much an Anthro charachter should weigh compared to a human of similar build/height. The only direct ref I have is the occasional Freefall comment on Florences weight compared to the humans around her.

I base it off human weight.
For example, I'm 6' and 160lbs. I'm athletic/slim so most of my weight comes from the very little muscel I do have.
Muscel weighs more than fat.
So Tyre, being 6'6" and from what I understand, is a muscel head, he'll hit 240-250lbs range.
Now birds typicly have hollow bones and weigh less.
So a 5' tall crow might hit 50-70 lbs.

No, it's something that should have been done, just for quick reference. Glad you think I've got it about right :-)
And the occasional anachronistic measurement is fun :D However I think it might be a culture difference, as UK publications do use 'stone' more, whilst my American rail magazines seem to always use pounds.

Do the charachters themselves come accross ok?

Whilst still pending on the details on the rest of the crew (I've got several shipping books from which I should be able to get a good representaion. Also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anchusa_class_sloop covers a ship which, whilst I'd never known about it before developing my vessel, is about the same size and appearance as the Wayfarer. I always said coincidence was an odd bird, didn't I?

Anyway, the main reason I'm updating this folder is for a little titbit about the crews 'Talents' which I've thought up recently and needed to write down before I forgot. Subject to modification at some point ;-)

-Leaning On The Gods-

As has been set out elsewhere, the crewmembers are represented by species that Native Americans (or mere historians/nosy muppets such as myself) would recognise as being from the 'Trickster' side of the Pantheon. However, the crew do not necessarily closely follow the old ways. Exceptions to this include:

Kal: Direct follower of 'Old' Coyote. Whilst he hasn't manifest any of Coyotes powers (such as shapeshifting, body part manipulation or mental illusion) directly, he is still blessed with supreme speed and agility and a gift for sleight of hand almost unknown elsewhere. Coyote's willing to give him thse gifts as, frankly, it amuses him.

Skye: As one of the heads of Southclaw Trading, she has good contact with Old Coyote but is more set towards informing him of project and advances in science that might work with his gifts. For this reason, she's more staid then Kal (but then again, so's almost everyone, so it's not saying much) but has talents in other areas...

Kerl: Kerl is mentioned on this for reasons I won't disclose. It might come out in RP. It might not. Suffice to say, it's an interesting one.

Kereli: The above all have connections to Coyote. Kereli is the ships companies link to Fox, Coyotes cousin and sometime ally in the pantheon. Fox is a little more traditional the his cousin and prefers showmanship and a little sacrifice, which not all are willing to follow. This makes true healers such as Kereli a rare find, yet even she only calls him as last resort so has been studying modern medicine and that of other cultures. To summon her own kindred deity, she needs to offer up some energy. This either comes from reserves on her body (hence Kerelis' well known slightly chubby appearance, acting as a reserve) or through him possessing her to consume something. She tries to keep the latter to a minimum, as he lacks table manners.. or pretends to to wind her up. No-one's sure on that point. Regardless, she's one of his favourites as her position on the Wayfarer allows him to keep tabs on his Cousin whilst her sweet tooth pleases Fox compared to some of his more 'traditionally minded' followers...

Kue: As Coyote has Skye on the 'tech' side, Fox has Kue. Even if the old scientist doesn't know it, the afinity has stopped him from being blown up several times...

Narad: Crow- as yet undecided ;-)

P.S. Belated thanks to DF for the above post!
P.P.S Gender of gods put as male above. However, this might be modified later...
P.P.P.S Wolf.. has a hand. And is irritated ;-)
