P.B. 1-0004: In the Event of a Tied Election
An Act to specify procedure should a Premier election end in a tie

1. Should a Premier election end in a tie between two or more candidates, the Lord Defender shall eliminate all candidates that did not tie for the most votes and hold a runoff election at his earliest convenience. He shall repeat this process until a candidate wins the election or until the only candidates remaining are all tied and no more can be eliminated.

2. In the event that the only candidates remaining are all tied and no more can be eliminated, the Lord Defender shall ask the Tatsumaki bot on the regional discord to randomly choose a winner. That candidate will become the next Premier.

In my city, we had a tied election a few years ago (the first in state history, incidentally), and the solution was to flip a coin. So, that's my two cents (pun intended).

I mean I think Tatsumaki us the closest thing to a coin flip so I think that could be used, but if this region grows enough we get a Parliament/Congress/whatever they should probably be the tie-breaker.

I personally favor the idea of using some random method to determine the winner, such as using the tat bot (which can flip coins, or directly pick a candidate.)

Also to Replica, due to the nature that voters and MPs are basically one in the same, having parliament decide to hold a vote for the winner is basically holding another election. Unless I misunderstood what you mean, then in which case I’ve just waisted all our time here.
