I didn't know you lived in Dublin??
I don't - I live in Amsterdam.

I was in Ireland for 10 days though and spent a couplem of nights in Dublin before wallowing in the luxury that is Limerick.

most of my straight mates have either bought or downloaded the soundtrack. last night we were celebrating a friend's birthday at some posh restaurant and some of them-straight males i repeat-were dancing to take a chance on me upon tables. they looked quite gay acting to my eyes, which was quite frightening. is this film a plot in making straight men embracing gay culture?

Abba is not gay culture.

It's straight female culture.

I think your straight male friends are displaying signs that they are pre-operative transsexual lesbians.

By coming in at No. 2 with $27.6 mil, Mamma Mia! set a new mark for the biggest premiere ever for a movie musical in the US.

Mamma Mia's debut in the US is nearly identical to the $27 million opening of Hairspray exactly one year ago.

For those who have seen it, which is better? I realise they are different beasts, but which did you enjoy more?

I always found 'Hairspray' very overrated and 'american' for my liking...and the songs are pretty boring..

I listented to some of the songs and decided it wasn't for me. They're bloody awful.
