I finished When Engulfed By Flames by David Sedaris the other week. It's hilarious but there's a noticable dip in quality from his previous essays.

As much as I like Poirot, I find Miss Marple is much more entertaining. I never cared for Tommy and Tuppence though. Have you read most of Christie's books?

I love Miss Marple too, but I find Poirot more entertaining myself. He's more proactive. She just sits there knitting, listening to everything without ever doing much more than that. Still genius though! I adore them both!

I've only read a few of them, but there's something really comforting about them.

I just ordered 'The Men with the Pink Triangle: The True Life-and-Death Story of Homosexuals in the Nazi Death Camps'.

Supposed to be "a gripping personal account of the gruesome persecution that took place against homosexuals during World War 2".

Brilliant. Sounds like a right laugh.

I read it years ago for a research project. Fascinating and heartbreaking. Since homosexuality was still a crime in Germany and the Allied countries after the war, these are stories about people whom society did it's level best to forget.

Yeah, especially the part about the constant filth, the continuous presence of death, and the unimaginable cruelty of those in command is real comedy!
