#3 in the first UK midweeks. I guess Last Shadow Puppets and Lukas Graham are ahead.

If it ends up at #3 that would be incredible for a pair of 50 somethings punting a 90s homage!

So my current fave is "Burn". What a total BANGER!

Love the drama queen kettle drums, the weird wonky synths around the 2 minute mark and the breathy middle eight when the beat drops out.

"IT FEELS SO GOOD" :flirt2: :celebrate:

It's fantastic! Surely a single at some point?

Again, this is exactly the kind of track Madge should be putting out!

On repeated listens... Upgraded to possibly their best album since very

I wasn't a huge fan of their output in the 00s and was even a bit disappointed with electric.

The second half of super is amazing. The mind boggles why they went with the pop kids as the first single.

I'm enjoying the album but not as good as Electric for me. Stand out tracks at the moment are The Dictator Decides & Inner Sanctum. I'm finding Sad Robot World a bit out of place. They are so consistent with the quality in their album releases. Definitely my fave pop band ever.

Yes! They truly are incredibly consistent.

As for Sad Robot World, I think it fits nicely. The Dictator Decides is also on the album, so it's not the only "slow" song.

#3 debut on the UK charts!

Comprising 61 year old Neil Tennant and 56 year old Chris Lowe throughout their long and distinguished career, The Pet Shop Boys rack up their 13th straight Top 10 studio album - their entire output - with their latest release, Super, debuting at No.3 (16,953 sales). It is the veteran duo's second release for their own X2 label after more than 29 years with Parlophone, following their 2013 release Electric, which also debuted at No.3, on lower sales of 15,715. Super maintains the tradition for all Pet Shop Boys studio albums to have single word titles, and is their 24th charted album, including compilations, live sets, scores and soundtracks. Once a prolific singles chart act, with four No.1s and 21 Top 10 hits to their credit, The Pet Shop Boys last Top 10 hit, I'm With Stupid, came 10 years ago, but they clearly have a rock solid fanbase, and can probably continue to chart albums at will for as long as they wish.

I love it!
i'm glad u do *though u really shouldn't :basil: *

the fact they can't even get a top 75 hit these days i find it quite depressing. but then neither can madge nor kylie. i just hate the official charts.
