i still haven't seen 'The Changeling', 'Australia' and 'The Duchess'

the best is yet to come

My favourite film of 2008 so far has been The Orphanage. I can't see that changing by the end of the year either, as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button doesn't open here til next year and that's the only one that looks like it has the potential to rival this.

The Orphanage is both scary and very, very moving. It really has everything. Definitely the best film I've seen this year.

I'll be completely honest with you, this was a great year for movies. There were so many, it's almost like a blur right now. The Changeling was the last great film I saw. Dark Knight, totally.

There were many. If I think of more, I'll post them.

Doubt is the next film I will be seeing.

O yes! I loved that movie, the lead actress did such a great job. And I nearly died when they see the old lady getting hit by a van. Top three for sure.

The Dark Knight was very enjoyable but everyone raving about it and it being the favourite film of all time on Imdb was just silly.

No doubt Der Baader Meinhof Komplex is my favourite film, I have to think about the rest.

Dark Knight and Juno were my favorites.

I can't wait for Doubt, though. It sounds really, REALLY great.

In case you were wondering, my own pick would also be The Orphanage, which totally blew me away. Such a relief so see a film that relies on a great script, direction and performances as opposed to just CGI and gimmicks.

Toss-up for me between "The Orphanage" and "Happy Go Lucky".

To be honest, I didn't actually go and see much this year. I caught up with loads of stuff on DVD instead.

Ooh, I love "Happy Go Lucky" too. I also barely went to the cinema this year either. I find it outrageously expensive and also very tense, as some cunt always thinks they can talk during it. I'd rather see movies at home.
