Bridget Jones's Diary

I watched this movie for the 15435th time last weekend and it just doesn't get tired at all. And it's so good it deserves another mention and a new thread.
I remember seeing it for the first time in the cinema with my friends, we memorized the entire script and used the quotes at every occasion. My favourites:

Bridget: Here is the man we like to call Mr.... uh... Mr!... uh...
[to herself]
Bridget: Titspervert. Titspervert.
[to audience]
Bridget: Fitzherbert. Because... that is his name. (I still say this on a weekly basis to my sister and we die laughing)

Interviewer: What do you think about the El Nino phenomenon?
Bridget: It's a blip. Latin music's on its way out.

Bridget: Thank you, Daniel, that is very good to know. But if staying here means working within 10 yards of you, frankly, I'd rather have a job wiping Saddam Hussein's arse!

Of course it goes without saying that the book was better and the sequel was shit.

Thoughts and more quotes?

Hat the book, hate the actress, hate the film.

Everything about the whole Bridget Jones debarcle is utterly loathesome.

Oh no! I only hate the people who think they live the life of Bridget Jones but in fact are über boring suburbian people who watch Oprah Winfrey and read Cosmopolitan.

The film was worse than the book - just HIDEOUS.

It proved that Renee is an appalling actress. I hated every scene, every character, every plot line.

I get angry when I think about it and it's equally bad sequel.

I thought it was puerile nonsense. There was nothing remorely witty or interesting about it.

Mind you, I have hated Renee in almost everything she has ever done, the piggy eyed little cretin.

The scene where she fell ass-first on the camera made me giggle though.

I actually can't express how much I enjoyed it - I saw it at the cinema four times.

I honestly can't see what one could take away from repeat viewing of a film like this.
