What the hell is the point of this film? Boy befriends vampire who eats people. Boy gets bullied. The end.

What the fuck is the point?

I kept waiting for there to be some twist or some reasoning.

People are wetting their panties over this film. They're the retarded vampire freaks, who will salivate over anything having to do with vampirism.

Seriously, someone explain this fucking trash to me!

Yes, visually, it was pretty good. CGI, horrible.

Someone has to set me straight.

I get how the vampire is not known to be a male or female. I get that she/he, is ancient. I get that the man she's wish is her former lover. So fucking what? :spank: :hurt: :hurt: :hurt: :drama:

It IS a he. That's a fact. And he isn't excactly ancient, I think he's about 200 years or so.

Compared to the cliched shit True Blood this is a truly fantastic portrayal of a vampire.

I love it.

Honestly, if you liked it it would probably worry me. So all is good with the world still.

I swear, I tried to GET this film. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film almost got 98%. I wish I could have loved this or at least liked it. It needed so much more. The feel was there, but there wasn't a story. No rhyme or reason.

Well, you don't have to like something just because it is deemed 'good' by the apparent powers that be at Rottentomato or anyone really

We all have our own tastes. This film wasn't to yours

Ok so without being catty I think it's best to go into any film without any expectations. I had only heard of it when Riv mentioned it and upon starting to watch it I was kinda meh and it blew me away. Maybe you expected so much it was bound to let you down. Or it just wasn't your kind of film. Who knows. I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy soon.

I cannot believe you didn't like this movie. You obviously didn't even give it a change. I completely agree with Jay and I love him.

I just couldn't find a real story. That was my issue. I would be able to deem a movie good or bad, if I could find some plot within it. I thought that it was visually stunning, and it was extremely dark and creepy, for lack of a better description. There wasn't any big music, trying to overdo the graphic scenes. That was smart.

It's just that the storyline between a vampire and this boy, it just seemed bland, and went nowhere, IMO. I thought they'd be some sort of twist. It's good enough if you just happen to watch it, and it's a pretty unknown movie. The fact that everyone seemingly went nuts over this film, leaves me somewhat dumbfounded. I think that's the other half of the equation. I sit there thinking, "I must have missed something. There must have been a story."

I couldn't even get if they were going with the official vampire guidelines, in which one is bitten and then becomes a vampire themselves. That didn't happen, but then apparently there were set rules that were followed, like not being able to come in without being invited. (Then she starts bleeding? lol.)

I went in with a totally open mind. I even avoided reading any spoilers. Perhaps I would find the book more interesting since the movie is said to have glossed over many of the key issues written. It's already being remade for America, and while everyone, including myself, and the original director, HATE American remakes, the author is apparently thrilled since the people doing the remake are doing it from scratch, directly from the book, rather than copying the current film version.

Thanks for some of the feedback. Hopefully, another foreign film will blow me away like, The Orphanage. The "supernatural" type films.
