Alan Ball and Co. are currently talking to “name” actresses to appear in just one episode this season (and more in future ones). The character? No less than Sophie-Anne, the 500-year-old queen of the Louisiana vampires.

If everything goes according to plan, Michelle Pfeiffer could be landing that role, and man could that be awesome!

That will be be the lowest point in her career. True Blood is horrible, sex scenes are the only watchable seconds of every episode. Then again it's been 13 years since her last decent movie ...

She really shouldn't lower herself to appear in these naff, geekfest vampire TV shows. They make me ill.

this is the lowest point of her career? WTF... didn't you ever see Grease 2?

True Blood's one of the few watchable shows on TV left IMO. I'd rather watch that over that High School Musical-esque Twilight trash anytime.

But it'd be okay if she joins those whores on Wisteria Lane that have been dragging a carcass for several years just because they were once relevant in 2005? :lmao:

Or that hospital where everyone fucks each other and one of them ran out of guys to fuck so now she's fucking a ghost?

True Blood's one of the only watchable serialized shows on US TV right now IMO.

I've decided to make this Desperate season my last. It's just not that INTERESTING anymore. So unless Gabby and Lynette are going to have an affair and show us a SCISSOR SISTERS and Tom and Mike hit it off in a shower, I ain't watching no more.

yea, I gave that and Grey's up. DH isn't especially bad, it's just pointless. I realized I don't care for any of the characters and the "surprise plot twists" can be seen from miles away. I knew Dave was connected with the wife and kid from the car crash, and it was supposed to be a surprise when it was revealed?

Anyways, you guys are missing out on True Blood if you're avoiding it just because you hated Buffy. The show takes advantage of it's hot men, all three of its hunks were nude at one point or another... actually I think Ryan Kwanten was nude more than clothed to be honest. It's not just some show appealing to geeks (sadly I thought Buffy fans were geeks, then I gave the show a chance and understood the appeal and got hooked myself), it's the sexiest show on television, LOL.

lol, I agree. I resent Buffy being lumped in with Trek and Battlestar Galactica... totally not the same thing.

Much better than all that Desperate Housewives/Grey's Anatomy shit that gays cream over.

True Blood is a stupid serie, but if the script is good enough, an actor can shine in a role, so i wouldn't mind Michelle being in one episode.

no worse than Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty or any of the other soapish US shit that everyone drools over.

Those series are more stupid even. But at least they are not pretencious. Well, Grey is pretencious in a strogen kind of way. But i am sure that True Blood creator thinks he's doing history in television. Anyway, i watch it and have fun, i am in the middle of the second season and i am enjoying that exorcism story a lot. That black drunk mother is one of the best characters EVER. Oh by the way, i just recall that tonight i have dreamt on Dynasty and that Krystel and Alexis died!

Alan Ball is classy tho, Six Feet Under was a masterpiece, and American Beauty was a great movie also. Him being the show-runner probably singlehandedly raised the class and clout of True Blood.

Proof why I think TB is better than all that overrated ABC shit... nobody knew until the reveal who the killer was (not spoiling who for the UK fans who may be behind). Compare this to Grey's Anatomy where people predicted Izzie had a cancerous tumor six months ago, or Desperate Housewives where fans speculated at the end of the first episode of the season that Dave's motive had something to do with the woman and child killed in flashback. Both shows are too predictable and boring at this point. True Blood had tons of "OMG WTF?!!?!" plot twists that were actually surprising, not predictable. And it's getting harder and harder to surprise audiences who can figure out the surprise twist/killer/whatever early into a season these days. I can't wait to see what Michelle Pfeiffer adds to the show.
