Mariah revealed the title of her forthcoming album in an exclusive announcement she made on her Twitter page! Bcuz I Love U, I want u to be the first to know the title of my new album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" Its very personal & dedicated to u half a minute ago from web "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," Mariah's 12th studio album, is expected to hit stores this Fall. Barely back from a very successful presentation of her film Precious at the Cannes Film Festival, we find Mariah already in the studio to continue work on her new, as-yet-untitled album! In a message on Twitter earlier today, she excitedly wrote: In the studio w/Timbaland.. S.G.S.H.W.!!! : ) (Stone Groove Smash Hit Wonder) This will be Mariah's first time ever to work with the Grammy Award-winning record producer, songwriter and rapper. Timbaland's illustrious career has seen him at the helm of the music business producing and writing songs for various artists like Justin Timberlake ("Cry Me a River," "SexyBack"), OneRepublic ("Apologize"), Madonna ("4 Minutes"), Nelly Furtado ("Promiscuous," "Maneater"), Rihanna ("Rehab"), just to name a few. Timbaland has received thirteen Grammy Award nominations, winning two awards: one for his collaboration with Timberlake on "Sexyback" in 2007, and for "LoveStoned/I Think She Knows," another collaboration with Timberlake, in 2008. Last night, Chairman & CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid hosted and presented the Island Def Jam's Spring Collection where he unveiled the new and upcoming work from IDJ's stable of artists. The event took place at the Stephen Weiss Studio in New York and was attended by industry people, music reviewers and Def Jam artists. A Mariah song, reportedly titled "Hate U" was played at the event! Shirea L. Carroll from Vibe Magazine live blogged during the event and said, "This is a WBLS hit for sure..." It is not known if "Hate U" will be the lead single off Mariah's new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. More details to come as they become available. Stay tuned! |

The title is laughably pretentious beyond Marrah's grasp, but I'm actually kinda looking forward to it. TEOM and E=MC2 were two of her best albums IMO and while I don't expect anything earthshattering, I am sure the next album will probably continue that path. |

That picture is TERRIBLE promo for a song! YIKES!!!!! The only question is, will this song be a "fast" or a "slow" Mariah- 'cause there are only two songs she sings- fast ones and slow ones (you could replace any of the lyrics and still get the same song). |
