Elle Richardson (Ellektrica) asked Kylie if they will issue a studio version of the Aphrodite megamix... she just tweeted a reply: "Yes...soon(ish)"

Here's a 10 minute mp3 from a better quality recording of the Aphrodite megamix from last night.

The songs featured in the mix are:

Get Outta My Way
Cupid Boy
Too Much
Can't Beat The Feeling
Put Your Hands Up
Aphrodite

Thoughts on the Aphrodite minimix?

I only like Get Out Of My Way and the title track. They all sound very upbeat and energetic, but the tunes themselves seem pretty weak. Her vocals are very high-pitched throughout. Far from blown away.

Perhaps they're growers though!

surely they're exaggerating just a bit? even the fever campaign didn't achieve such a time length. UNLESS they're already planning a second wave of exposure with a re-release in fall 2011 :drama:

Aye, that's what I thought. We're in the era if the "deluxe" edition and they've doubtless got a reease date and single already moored.

I agree. With the exception(maybe) of the title track, they're so generic and weak. Like the kind of stuff Dannii records. Where are the big pop melodies? Where's the variety?

get outta my way is an absolute euphoric monster, no surprise this is the second single. love at first sight revisited and kylie's get together if we consider this album as her confessions on a dance floor.

too much sounds more calvin harris than jake shears to my ears, i do like it, though. i love the snippet of the title track, too.

the rest are consistent, yet non eventful pop dance album tracks. cohesion was an issue that needed to be re-established after the hot mess x was and it seems like the goal has been reached. we do need to listen to the songs in their full length-i sense some growers out of this bunch- and there's more material left off this megamix.

overall, i feel this is definitely fever part 2 yet with FAR better songs on it.

I agree that it sounds "cohesive", but that's possibly been achieved at the expense of variety. They all sound more or less the same and have very little character or personality of their own. I don't think I'd want an entire album of songs that all sound like rejigged versions of "Wow".

Still, we've only heard clips of half the album, so I'm hoping there'll be some more textures on the remaining songs.

:lmao: Even that's being somewhat generous. It's more like a Dannii album with a slughtly higher budget!

in all fairness, COADF was an album of two halves. one half delivering irresistible jaw dropping bonafire pop classics and the other half producing mediocre filler

 I soooo disagree! I think it's an incredibly solid album, from start to finish! It has some amazing highs, but even the lows are still very enjoyable.

well, i always skip 2-3 of the tracks on COADF, but still, every single song on there is unique and different from the rest. those 5-6 Kylie songs on that sample sound almost identical.

Yeah, COADF is a dance album, but there's still a lot of variety in the sound of the songs.
