i listened to Kylie Minogue (the album) for the first time the other day.

it was excruciatingly bad :rotfl:

the only good song on it is the epic 'confide in me'.

It's mostly shite alright. So dated sounding now too.

I adore "Put Yourself In My Place" though. That's a quality song.

I've never listened to Kylie's earliest albums, I take it they're filled with (mostly) "Causing A Commotion"-type fare?

Verrrrrry cheesy, tinny, cheap, late 80s Stock Aitken Waterman songs BUT some of them have undeniably great tunes! But yeah, I wouldn't be listening to those early albums really.

Absolutely! The greatest run of her singles of her entire career! :drama:

Alas, everything else on that album is pretty awful.

i can't expect anyone who hasn't listened to the early kylie albums back at their time to appreciate them for what they are.

km94 was a solid effort though pretty much based on mid 90s trends. i still enoy listening to it every now and then, most of it is quality though outdated 90s dance pop.

as for her pwl era that the first generation of fans experienced in its utter guilty pleasure glory, it was the epitome of a teen star turning to proper sex kitten that became a landmark for many female popstars thereafter. and don't even get me started on the quadruplet pop orgasm the classic singles off rhythm of love turned out to be. i still get the chills when remembering the moment i set my hands on those 12'' vinyls.

All the Lovers limped into the UK charts at number 4 despite a publicity assault that left nothing to the imagination... Kylie has had her day and not even ex Madonna producers can mask the fact she is crap!

You're aware that "Celebration" only peaked one spot higher, correct?

I think KM94 isn't my fav but I recognize that it could be one of her best album ever. Has great songs, but they are too large! Besides, I always hated Waiting!

I think Rhytmn of Love and Let's get to it are great too. The second is my fav one.

Eh, God is currently on a month's break from her world tour, attending various baseball games and being generally amazing,

Yeah, but I know that I'm going to buy the cd anyway, so I want to listen to it on my car when I'll go back home.

Mats, I really wanted to go too. This is the third spanish Kylie perfomance that I can't go!

Anyway, it's confirmed that Kylie is going to sing All the lovers only
