You have GOT to be kidding me. Confessions On A Dancefloor is a pop masterpiece and the Scissor Sisters' Night Work is all kinds of amazing.

He didn't produce most of Aphrodite. He only helped out.

It's you who needs your ears rinsed out luv.

I'm loving "Better Than Today". It's actually much more Jake Shears-ish than the track he co-wrote.

Confessions is patchy at best. Stuart did the same crap on that album that he did on Kylie's. Give me a break. Did you ever hear Seal's album that he did?

I think "Too Much" is a Calvin Harris/Jake Shears co-write.

Yeah, a lot of the tracks were finished and they asked him to come on board and help "unify" them, so I'd say he made a few changes to some of them, but he only fully produced 3 songs.

"Can't Beat The Feeling" is very poorly placed at the close of the album. It doesn't feel even remotely like an album closer. It just feels like a random, track 6 song.

Indeed. Kylie's songwriting cloven hoof is all over that one.

yea, M should teach her how to properly close an album ('like it or not', 'gone', 'mer girl', easy ride', 'take a bow' etc etc)

'closer' would've been a GREAT closing track. it's darker, more interesting and unique than most of the tracks on there. it stands out. and it's EVEN called like that - 'CLOSER'.

ughhh, silly silly kylie.

Sometimes I really feel that she and her "team" are so, so clueless! When they get stuff right, it's more a fluke than anything. It really makes you appreciate the other pop divas and their attention to detail.

Have to say though, taken for what it is, Aphrodite isn't a bad little pop album. Totally disposable and light as a feather, but a decent listen so far.
