Yeah, I feel exactly the same about CGYOOMH. It just does nothing for me anymore. So, so true about the video for YDNY. Very easy to smirk at it back then, but given the dross that Madonna has churned out since, despite having virtually limitless resources, it seems unfair to slate Kylie's effort. Finer Feelings is a lovely song. I must confess to having a very soft spot for "If You Were With Me Now" too. I ADORED that song at the time. Still have the cassette single lying around somewhere.

By the way, I was looking around for an amateur remastered version of the "Rhythm Of Love" album earlier tonight and asked on SayHey. I was informed that the albums on iTunes are actually remastered, so I downloaded ROL and it does indeed sound FAR better than the CDs do. Apparently all those PWL albums were similarly mastered for iTunes from the original DAT tapes! ![]() The album version of "Shocked" is fantastic. I'd forgotten how much longer it is than the 7" mix and the extra guitar stuff is wonderful.

i was all about gettin the 12" vinyls of her singles back in the pwl days. during 1990-1992 radio was refusing to play any of her songs over here and i remember purchasing devil, step back, word is out, if u were with me now and what kind of fool without even being aware of what they sounded like. my friends were laughing at me for loving her, but little did they know, those idiots. once confide in me broke loose, she became a proper popstar rather than a puppet. for that reason, i'd say confide in me is still the most important song of her career.

Yeah, it's probably the "Live To Tell" or "Like A Prayer" moment in terms of Kylie's career, when a lot of heads were turned and people realised she wasn't purely just a squeaky pop puppet. I wish I'd been into her during that period you mention. I really liked the artwork for Shocked, Step Back In Time and What Do I Have To Do. I never realised til tonight though, just how unsuccessful that "Rhythm Of Love" album was though, especially given the HUGE success of the albums that came before it. It only reached #9 in the UK and #10 in Australia. Astonishing! She really went through a major slump, right at the time she started delivering truly excellent pop music. Must've been quite frustrating for her at the time. |

Yeah, that'd be nice. Special editions with bonus tracks and remixes. I don't see why not. She has a very loyal fanbase who would certainly snap up a limited pressing of them. |

rhythm of love's chart run was really a slap in kylie's face. it peaked at number 9 in its debut week, the same week the immaculate collection entered at number one. considering her first two albums had sold more than 3 million copies put together and the singles off the new album both turned to top5 smash hits, the result must have been a shock for both her and the label-i actually couldn't believe my eyes when viewing that week's chart on the issue of record mirror. that's why i tag as fools those who've been counting her off ever since not reclaiming her huge success during the fever era. they're probably not aware she's a proper survivor. |

Kylie Minogue's man: My love for pop princess Love is wanting to share everything, to call her to tell her about a plate of food, a photo that's come out well, or just to hear her laugh. I love that. We love that - Andres Velencoso Segura ![]() There might, just might, be a happy ending after all with Kylie Minogue's name finally disappearing from the list of stars destined to be unlucky in love. She may have scored a big hit with I Should Be So Lucky, but her love life has been a trail of turbulent romances which just fizzled out or ended in tears. Now the tiny pop princess seems to have found her soulmate in the shape of 6ft 4in underwear model Andres Velencoso Segura. And the hunky Spaniard isn't shy about saying exactly how he feels for 5ft 1in Kylie, explaining how what started as a fling has blossomed into love during their 19 months together. "I always thought love was something crazy, an out-of-control passion," said Andres in an interview with Spanish Vanity Fair. "But now I realise it's about wanting to share everything. "To call the woman you love to tell her about a plate of food, a photograph that came out well, or just to hear her laugh. I love that. We love that. But I've also realised that you can't plan for love. "It started off as a fling with Kylie. It turned into love and now each of us supports the other. We complement each other really well. "I've found a woman who loves me, and I love her. Happy, that's how I feel!" Kylie, 41, met Andres, 32, when they were filming an advert for her men's fragrance Inverse in the late summer of 2008. They were soon spotted in each other's arms in Paris at the 37th birthday party of American burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese in October. Then over the New Year they shared a £10,000-a-week ski chalet in the exclusive French resort of Chamonix, taking snowboarding lessons together every day. Despite Kylie's hectic schedule she has found time to visit Andres's home town of Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava to meet his dad, who is also called Andres, as well as his sisters Sonia and Silvia. She has been learning Spanish, and even helped out working in the family's restaurant in a 14th Century castle overlooking the picture-postcard seaside resort, 55 miles north of Barcelona. Kylie has also taken Andres to Melbourne, Australia, to meet her parents Ron and Carol and brother Brendan. And Kylie celebrated her 41st birthday last year with Andres at a lunch at Le Jardin de Russie restaurant in Rome. When they first started dating, fans noticed Andres's uncanny resemblance to former love Olivier Martinez, 43. The French film star and Kylie had a turbulent four-year romance which ended in 2007. And it followed doomed love affairs with British model James Gooding and late INXS pop star Michael Hutchence. But she still parted with Olivier on friendly terms, praising him for the way he had helped her during her treatment for breast cancer. "He was always there, helping with the practical stuff and being protective," she said. "He was incredible. He didn't hesitate in putting projects on hold so he could be with me. He's the most honorable man I have ever met." But Kylie's phenomenal success has always put tremendous strains on her private life, a factor Andres was well aware of when they first started dating. But he said that they had now developed an unbreakable bond, even though they were often apart through work. Andres, who has lucrative contracts with Emporio Armani and Lacoste and has modelled for Jean Paul Gaultier and Chanel, said the time they had been forced to spend apart had only brought them closer together. He now lives part-time in New York and at Kylie's London flat, but has also travelled around the US to support Kylie at gigs in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. "Missing each other only brought us closer, those phone calls and appearing suddenly in other parts of the world so we can be together." Andres said he was full of admiration for Kylie's drive and hunger for success, which has seen the girl who made her name first on TV's Neighbours go on to sell 68million records worldwide, with Can't Get You Out Of My Head topping the charts in a staggering 40 countries. "As an artist she is full of enthusiasm, whether it is preparing for videos or photos, going out on stage, going on tour," he said. "She absolutely loves it, that's why she's so great. I see her talent, the years of her career, how she demands things so everything has a better result." Andres, who used to admit to being scared of commitment in relationships, also revealed that Kylie had encouraged him to take up pilates and yoga - and that he often trains at the same London gym as England football manager Fabio Capello. But it's his love of beach football and scuba diving that is responsible for his physique. He said that Kylie has also become a massive fan of Spanish food since they started going out together. His one regret is that his mother Lucia is no longer around to share his happiness and that she never had the chance to meet Kylie. She died in 2002 shortly after he moved from Spain to New York to launch his international modelling career, posing alongside Jennifer Lopez in a Louis Vuitton campaign. Andres has his mother's name tattooed across his chest. He said: "It is the best time of my life. I'm happy with a person who loves me and who I love. I am just deeply sorry that my mother is not here to share it." Andres has refused to be drawn on whether he and Kylie will eventually marry and she has been just as reticent in public, saying in a recent interview with Elle magazine that a wedding is "not on the cards". But she does admit to being very happy and in love. "Everybody tries to make you believe that you can't be beautiful and intelligent at the same time, when, like Andres, it's possible to be both at once," said Kylie, whose new album Aphrodite is out in July. "I thought those days of love were gone, but I'm now in a very happy, romantic place." http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2010/05/09/kylie-s-man-my-love-for-pop-princess-115875-22244562/ |

Look at the black woman in the bottom left of this pic. She's in a voodoo trance. Only KYLIE QUEEN OF VOODOO POP could induce such a state with her lovely new single!
