If Britney hits #1 in 2011, she'd be the youngest act to have a #1 in 3 different decades.

:sadbitch:
Now, you're just making up categories, and that honor already goes to Michael Jackson.

There's no interest in her dumb ass anymore.

Her 15 fans all purchased that stupid single at the same time. It's an easy #1, and in her 12 year "career", she's only managed 3 #1 singles. lulz! Rihanna is on her 7th in only 5 years.
Bruce Springsteen and James Brown have no Hot 100 #1s.

I don't see what your point is.
That was a zillion years ago, my dear.

It's much easier these days.

Mooriah gives her fans 99 cent coupons to buy her singles on iTunes on the very same day to ensure a #1.[/img]

Mariah hasn't had a #1 since early 2008, and that only hit #1 because it was the lead single to a studio album that was the follow up to a smash album. Britney has had 2 since Mariah's last.

It's *NOT* much easier to get a Hot 100 #1 these days. Ever since the beginning of the SoundScan era Hot 100 #1s average many more weeks at #1 than they used to, meaning there are less yearly #1s.
Must be backwards day where you live. :lmao:

I repeat: Britney has had only 3 #1 singles in her ENTIRE career! :jflop:
Must be "I'll ignore simple facts while my nonsense is torn apart and proven false piece by piece" day where you live.

I repeat: Legends like Springsteen and James Brown NEVER had a single Hot 100 #1. Rihanna now has more #1s than Beyonce. It's meaningless, so what's your point?

I doubt Britney is pressed over over a lackluster Hot 100 history when she still wiped the floor with her competitors in terms of fame, impact, touring, and album sales.

By this "logic" Mariah is bigger and better than Madonna in every way simply because she has 50% more Hot 100 #1s. It doesn't work that way.

And after *3* smash hits the album is just now topping 700,000.

Circus sold 1.7 million on the back of *2* smash hits and then a moderate hit and a flop.

What?
"Womanizer" and "Circus" were big, "If You Seek Amy" was a moderate success, and "Radar" flopped.

The only one on there that actually did well was "Womanizer", which is typical because it's a lead off single, and it was again Britney trying to redeem herself with her fans. They bought it.

She'll put out another laughable "album", that'll probably sell next to nothing, which gets you on the charts these days since nobody buys cds anymore, and she'll probably have success with at least one single. Then it's back to irrelevancy again. Like I said, she's passed her shelf-life. She's old, she has no talent, and she's boring. Is her daddy still going to be giving her an allowance, and making sure she brushes her teeth when she hits 35 in a few years?

Are you purposely difficult?

"Circus" hit #1 at Pop radio, #2 on the Hot 100, and sold well. That's called a hit.

Plenty of people still buy CDs, after all almost 300 MILLION albums have been sold sold this year in the US alone.

Pop Radio doesn't matter. You're sounding like a Janet Jackson fan. It's the Hot 100 that does, and "Circus" hit #3 in the US, and #13 in the UK. Yes, that isn't bad. I'm not saying it was. However, it did not make the sort impact that her fans are so desperately trying to make it out to be. You can sell 40,000-50,000 units and receive a #1 album on the charts. Even Bjork can get a top 10 album in the US now. No, people don't by CDs anymore.

Like I said, Britney is always going to have her harcore fan base of about 25 fans. That doesn't mean she's relevant anymore.

You're impossible.

Pop radio doesn't matter? It's the single biggest catalyst of song downloads AND the biggest radio format in the US. The #1 song on Pop in a given week has 70 million+ aud imp, that's a shitload of chart points TOWARDS THE HOT 100. And more spins at Pop means more downloads sold, meaning A HIGHER SPOT ON THE HOT 100 YOU FUCKING IDIOT.

If people don't buy albums anymore WHO BOUGHT THE 300 MILLION SOLD IN THE US THIS YEAR? It only takes a small amount to hit #1 on the Billboard 200 during slow times of the year. Taylor Swift just did over 1 million in one week. SuBo has done well over 200,000 a week 4 weeks in a row now. Nicki Minaj just did 375,000 in her first week.

And I fail to see how I sound like a Janet Jackson fan, as she hasn't had a hit at Pop radio since the Pleistocene.
