This is only her 4th #1. What the fuck are they on about? Obviously her marketing team is working overtime.
Bruce Springsteen and James Brown both never had a single Hot 100 #1.

Why don't you go trivialize them?

Because they had talent, dumbass.

That has absolutely nothing to do with your "#1" drivel in this thread.

You keep trying to dismiss Britney because she's "only" had 4 #1s, when in fact that's more than most other artists, including huge legends. 4 #1s is nothing to sneeze at. And actually, more importantly, it's entirely meaningless. Who has more #1s is IRRELEVANT to who is more popular, who has had more hits, who has sold more albums, who has made the bigger impact, who has bigger tours, etc.

Once again, you sound no different than Mariah Carey lambs trivializing every other female act since they have less Hot 100 #1s than her.

You really need to become more self aware.

As usual, you prove to be a brainless twat.

What I was referring to was how Billboard phrased her 4th #1. Her having no talent is an entirely different issue.

Britney's shooting her "Hold It Against Me" music video very soon. We know it's a dance video with intense choreography produced by Brian Friedman, and is expected to be "spectacular," says her manager. But now new details emerged about the potential style of the vid.

According to new reports, Britney's using designers Shane & Falguni Peacock , who've worked with Katy Perry, Fergie and Cheryl Cole, to style Indian-inspired outfits for the video.

"Britney's manager contacted us and we exchanged some emails with her about style and fashion. We sent sketches of our models to Britney and she chose the ones she liked the most," said Falguni.

The designers are set to meet with Britney in L.A. next week.

"Britney wanted to experiment with out style. She will be seen wearing a long black dress with pink and red detailing."

Exclusive: Hold It Against Me Video Shoot Details

BreatheHeavy.com exclusively received (from a Calabasas reader) the call-sheet for Britney's music video shoot for her first single, Hold It Against Me, directed by Jonas Akerlund.

Video production is scheduled for Tomorrow, Saturday, January 22nd at 8 AM at 5555 Melrose Ave.

Dancers involved in the video are Chase Benz, Cassidy Noblett, Billy Bell, Ben Susak, Adrien Galo, Chaz Buzan, Darrell Bullock, Gilbert Saldivar, Judson Emery, Nick Lanzisera and Alison Kyler.

Despite reports claiming Shane and Falguni Peacock are the costume designers, B Akerlund is, with Renie Padora as the Key Costume Designer.

Project Runway's Phillip Carreon is the hairstylist.

The notice tells everyone they "NEED TO WEAR BLACK."

Tomorrow's going to be a big day!

Dr Luke talks to billboard

Quote:
Lady Gaga, take note. With "Hold It Against Me" debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this issue-and every conceivable rumor regarding her next album being subjected to WikiLeaks levels of scrutiny-Britney Spears has made it clear that she won't be relieved of her pop princess title that easily.

After a week of release, "Hold It Against Me" debuted on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 Songs chart at No. 16 with 4,071 plays, the highest detections total by a debuting title in the chart's 18-year history. Perhaps even more impressive was the hype that preceded its release, which included a leaked demo and the song's co-producer, pop hitmaker Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, stoking the speculative flames on Twitter ("The first word of the Britney song is 'hey'... the 24th word is 'song,' " he wrote.)

For Spears' (officially) still-untitled seventh studio album, Gottwald and Max Martin have signed on as co-executive producers (as they did for Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream") and signaled a continued embrace of the dance-pop that was ahead of the curve on Spears' most recent albums (2007's "Blackout" and 2008's "Circus") but is now inescapable. Will this be to their detriment?

Gottwald doesn't think so. "Everything is in cycles, and it will change, but I don't think [2011] is necessarily that year," he says. He adds, however, that the intent with Spears' album is to push the sound forward. "Hopefully you'll hear a progression," he says, "while keeping great songs."

There's proof beyond the early success of "Hold It Against Me'" that Spears can still mobilize millions of fans, commanding as much attention with a photographed Starbucks run as with a cryptic tweet. And until more music is available, teasing will have to suffice. "Britney's 2nd single is gonna be fire!!!!!!" Gottwald tweeted Jan. 16. "Watch out!!!!!!"

Isn't that what they said about Circus too? (second single being great). I have a feeling this album is going to be shittier than its predecessor

i like 'Circus'. it's one of the few solid pop songs on the album and WAY better imo than 'womanizer'.

also, a rule of thumb is that second singles tend to be stronger, catchier, and more mainstream than lead singles.

I love "Womanizer"! "Kill The Lights" was my favourite song on that album though. A fantastic track!
