nah, i'm sure other people had been singing about "floors" and "DJs" and "dancing" before she recorded 'music'

Well I managed to listen to it all the way through once - just about :basil:

I just can't stand her voice and it's not my cup of tea.

She really does have one of the weakest, most unintentionally amusing voices in the history of pop music.

She will never, ever be able to sing anything of any depth. Imagine that voice trying to sing "Live To Tell" or "Oh Father". :lmao:
What she REALLY have is that possibility to speak very rapidly and clear in her songs , and she has very nice feeling of the rythm. Her close to r`n`b efforts in vocalizing (studio i mean) i think is better than Madonna`s (e.g. Mannequin - no way Madge could take this one) . Britney feels this rythm better.
Totally! Remember when in an interview Justin mentioned they had to work on M's way of phrasing rhythm while recording HC?
Yeah, but in every single other respect, Madonna's voice wipes the floor with Britney's. M's voice is hugely underrated, especially in the late 80s/very early 90s.

I feel I should say that Britney's voice is only acceptable for 1 type of music, pop, club tracks. It doesn't stand out whatsoever and fades in the music. She uses the same """"style""" of voice in a ballad, on a dance track, on her first and on this album. She can't do anything with her voice and it has always been exactly the same.

Madonna in this aspect has done so many different styles and ways of singing. And it was good! For someone who has never heard a Madonna song he probabl wouldn't even know that 'Oh Father' was sung by the same woman that sang 'Requiem for a dream'. She has a very pleasant voice to sing with and she has good skills too.

Indeed. Madonna has an incredibly versatile voice and can invest songs with real emotion when she wants to. As you say, Britney has one voice and all it's suited for is throwaway dance pop. There's simply no comparison.

As for the voice.... totally agreed.
ok so I just listened to 'Mannequin' for the first time.

I don't know what to say. ANYONE could 'pull' this song off :s

I like 'Incredible' from HC more than this. And that says a lot.

There is virtually nothing good about this song, and I don't think this song is proof how her voice suits this kind of music.

I agree with Riv, it IS a grower. Would be one of the most recognizable songs of her (though Kesha`s very much in presence).

Annoying, but very summer. Very football, so straight guys would love it too)) And can see all my gay friends loving this. real club banger. BTW there`s practically NO presence of Born this way in Moscow gay clubs...

And with all this other snippets - I predict this album will be the most successful of hers in YEARS. Producers did their work properly.

album version`s much better than this... this sounds like a demo

Madonna never did this stacatto falsetto like here (just 'and I feeeeeeaaaaaaal'), never managed to switch the accented rythm to unaccented in this rapid manner.

I think that in some aspects Britney`s got a advance. This in no way relates to the emotions and live performances.

well, Britney is a good recording artist. But, then again, who isn't these days?

Even her loons can't deny that she is a shit performer though. The 'Circus' tour was a fiasco of epic proportions.
