NME album review:

Is it Britney's best ever record?

With a not-exactly-rapturously received lead single that dipped its toe warily into dubstep (the cunningly titled ‘Hold It Against Me’), Britney’s new album was always going to be a wild card. And luckily, it is, but in the good way. While keeping classic Britney touches, Ms Spears shows exactly how she’s stayed around for so long. Bloodshy and Avant track ‘How I Roll’sounds like a bloghaus Britney bootleg – all stripped back instrumentation and layered vocals. Meanwhile ‘Gasoline’ is classic ‘Toxic’-era Spears and ‘Inside Out’ is a garage-influenced mid-tempo ballad. The whole album brims with the laidback confidence of someone who knows she’s back on top. Britney claims it’s her best work yet. She’s not wrong.

ONTD Exclusive: Britney's Body Double Revealed?

Posted Image

Wait....you mean.....that isn't Britney flopping around like a dead fish for 30 seconds in her new video? WHAT WHAT WHAT? Some detectives have discovered the true identity of the body double used in Britney Spears' new video, Till the World Ends.

Posted Image

It's Tiana Brown! Who? Well, it's the choreographers assistant in a fucking Britney wig.

You can find out more info about her here. It's worth pointing out that she's "danced for Britney Spears’ world tour CIRCUS serving as a choreographer, dancer and co-captain. Also featured in Britney’s music videos "3" and “If U Seek Amy.”

Don't think it's her? Initial reports claimed that Tiana Brown was the stand in, but even our source is unsure, considering she had two additional stand ins. That's right, she had a total of three.

Other juicy info: Everyone's suspicions are true - she looks so dead inside because of all the meds she's on. She doesn't rehearse, is only on set when she needs to be in front of the lens and all of the dancer's contracts definitely have drug clauses in them. So I guess nothing that breaking....

I know you guys are probably foaming at the mouth right now and pissed off at me, but this was too good not to post. And yes, I believe my sources. Let it be known that I love Britney and we deserve the best form her!

Wow, that was an amazing video. The editing is done really nicely, she actually looks like she can dance now. I'm also loving the song.

the video's generic yet effective. i've come to the conclusion this is her best single release since gimme more, which, let's face it, was a pop masterpiece by all accounts. this is already a brit classic :drama:

WOAH OH OH OH OH OH OH -i could actually go on singing this forever

Britney Spears 'wants to postpone US tour'

Britney Spears has asked her record label to postpone her upcoming tour, according to a report.

The Femme Fatale star announced a string of US dates with Enrique Iglesias last week. However, just hours after the joint tour was revealed, Iglesias pulled out.

The Sun claims that Sony record bosses have gone 'ballistic' over Spears's request to push back the gigs.

"Britney has told her management that she wants to push back her concert dates because she's not feeling ready," a source told the paper. "She doesn't feel she has enough time to prepare and has asked management to pull all her dates and postpone everything until later on in the year.

"She's a perfectionist and wants everything to be better than ever before. She is having to compete with other huge female stars such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga now so wants to step the show up."

The insider continued: "Obviously it's gone down like a lead balloon because venues and staff are booked and ready to go. They are trying to talk her round or at least hoping she'll consider going out in September.

"Either way, there are a lot of meetings going on about how to announce it and handle it. It's a massive headache."
