LEGEND :hail: :hail: :hail: Time for Britney Spears to redefine pop music, AGAIN :drama: :drama: :drama:
when exactly did she redefine pop music in the first place?
It seems like we only had this discussion a week ago. Clearly you don't remember when pop music was Britney's playground with an endless stream of copycats and imitators to boot. Let's not.

i've never ever questioned her impact as a commercial force during her breakthrough and the years thereafter. and yes, i'm very much aware of the countless imitators constantly emerging at that time.

believe me, i do like some britney every now and then. i actually do like herself too, and i think she's very lucky a fantastic a&r team is making sure her albums contain at least 2-3 great pop singles.

Is that supposed to mean something? Although obviously 100 is an exaggeration as Britney belongs in a very elite club of top tier world superstars, I never said she was the first person to have success.

There was nothing game changing about Britney, she was Annette Funicello with a bigger budget.

Really? Someone mentioned something to that effect on PJ but considering Gaga is a big fan, I didn't think that would be the case.

Yes. They were also planning to support Katy to just to sabotage Gaga. That place is ridiculous. Too bad it's the biggest Britney forum.

Not when you're comparing star power and bringing up a nobody next to a global superstar. Check yourself, take the hate blinders off.

She had the creative force and cultural impact worthy of a spice girl

The Spice Girls flopped on their ass and disbanded after their third album. Britney is about to put out her eighth. She's no Karen O, naturally :manson:

the fact that she's around longer doesn't really equal bigger creative force or cultural impact

Success and longevity is the very definition of bigger impact. It means she has a lot of people paying attention. Use your head.
