Very, very strong album. By far the best of her career! And yeah, if she'd been in a different place mentally it could've been huge.

I still listen to it now all the way through (apart from the last track). It's great! So consistent... varied sounds for the whole album and interesting!

No credit to Britney though - as with Kylie. She just turns up on the day, bleets, then everyone else does all the work

Why is that, that people put a COMPLETE BARRIER to not like the album just because it's Britney's? It sure is better than... every diva latest album.

Do you think Kylie would've recorded an album as good as Blackout?

Britney's artistic input is minimal to non-existent, yes. But, she knew who were the right producers to call**, what songs to record and not, she came up with the concept of the album which is "Celebrate life", etc.

** Calling Danja instead of Timbaland for example was genius as she didn't come as desperate for a hit.

No she didn't. She asked the songwriters to write her some songs about fucking like a fat greasy pig on heat. They just toned it down to be about "celebrating life".

None of the songs on the album are about sex really.

Gimme More talks about more music in the club. Maybe Ooh Ooh Baby...

Whatever. You don't expect me to listen to her drivel, do you? The singles are shit, I'd imagine the album is even shitter.

Anyway, I said that's what she asked for, but the songwriters toned it down. Read properly, cheeky Mexican.

Britney is really 'Shaping Up'

Britney Spears is back in the recording studio with J.R. Rotem and Sean Garrett, the producers confirm to PEOPLE.

"She's great," Rotem told PEOPLE at the BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. "She's like a master at what she does. She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor that not every artist has. So it's always nice to work with her."

Although Rotem, who briefly dated Spears in 2007, would not reveal any details of the project, a Spears family source tells PEOPLE that the pop star is in the early stages of a follow-up to her last album Blackout, which was released last October.

"Britney is in the experimental stages of a new album," says the source. "She's trying to find the sound and direction she wants to go in, but nothing is set in stone just yet. She has been playing the piano a lot and just singing. She says she misses 'just singing.'"

Producer Sean Garrett was mum on specifics but says that he and Spears, 26, have "a few things in the works." At the BMI Pop Awards, Garrett told PEOPLE: "I'm just happy to see her back and recovering. She's really shaping up and getting her whole situation back together. I'm really proud and happy to see her."

Yes, Early Mornin' was Britney trying to be cred with her "I worked with a true artist" shit. The Jason Nevins Remix is lush though.

Now I recommend you to listen to The Hook Up again as it's the best song ever.

And Breathe On Me sounds nothing like Kylie, sorry.

Spears in talks to stage Vegas shows

Britney Spears is in secret negotiations to stage a major comeback spectacular in Las Vegas, according to reports.

The pop star was spotted dining with Palms Hotel + Casino owner George Maloof Jr. in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, fuelling speculation her next show will be a Sin City extravaganza.

Insiders claim the dinner at Il Sole was a business affair.

Maloof Jr. and Spears have been friends for years, and the pop star's ex-husband Kevin Federline and her father Jamie have both had business dealings with the casino boss in the past.

According to the new issue of America's National Enquirer, Spears is planning a "multi-million dollar stage production she hopes will jump-start her career".

A source tells the tabloid, "She wants to make a splashy comeback in Las Vegas. She wants the show to be full of high energy and flashy costume changes."

Spears is reportedly in negotiations to perform a string of shows for an estimated GBP5 million.
