As good as Blackout can be, i don't like either when the person is a mere puppet and simply sings a bit and goes away. I can enjoy Kylie's albums, but my favs are her personal albums when she composed and all that. Britney has never done any personal thing on an album, although i have the feeling that she will do, either on the next one or another.

So, i find Hard Candy a bad album, but at least it was some input (little to be fair) from Madonna.

It's hilarious how boring she is.
Well then you have something in common, no?

If we only liked albums by "real artists" that have "real input" in their work, we would only like 4 singers. That logic is retarded.

That's true, Alexz Gay. And I really think that Britney has put a lot of effort into this album, so I don't think it'll be as River described.

From what I know, she has co-written songs with Keri Hilson. But the Lady Gaga tracks are written by Lady Gaga herself. I doubt Britney will venture into producing but then again I don't listen to Britney [ or Kylie or Madonna or anyone ] thinking SHE WROTE THIS SONG SHE PRODUCED IT AND SHE PERFORMED THE TARIMA HERSELF.

I like pop music and never cared about the input, but in terms of artistic credibility, i like it when they have something to say about the album and compose some songs. If Kylie keeps on being the same puppet she's been with EMI, she will never have credibility, but if she composes more songs and is in control about what is in the album and what not, then she will have more.

That's why, i think Britney has to have more input in her albums to be credible.

Write?! :lmao:

That's what they call it when they ask the artist what type of song they would like, then the writers go write it for them. There's Zitney's input.

Are you daft?

She took the songs Pharrell gave her and re-wrote them.

The bitch is a control freak! :bradleh:

Thank you. As long as it's a solid output, who gives a crap if she wrote it or her sister's child did?

I agree. With someone like Britney, it's clear she's a minor talent. Who cares who wrote what on an album of hers? They're throwaway records and aren't meant to be taken very seriously and aren't trying to be credible. At least I hope not.

Exactly.

Also, there's a difference between writing the songs on an album and have creative input (Madonna).

Right. It's not like people look to Britney's albums for poetic, beautiful lyrics that can help them in some way or inspire them (at least I hope they don't). They put on one of her records when they want to dance their asses off.

Yeah. I mean, do we give a shit who writes what on a Girls Aloud or Sugababes album? Definitely not, yet we still(mostly) enjoy their music. Why should it be any different for Britney?

I do agree with you but I also think ...Baby One More Time is kind of an exception to that though. Who wants to be caught dancing to "E-Mail My Heart"? :nonplus:
