Well I have no idea why. It was the same tired old "performance" she's been trotting out for the past 20 years.

Getting to work on a brand new project, Janet Jackson was all smiles on the set of "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf" filming on location in New York City on Thursday (June 3).

Proudly flaunting her short new hairdo, the 44-year-old was joined by director Tyler Perry and co-star Kimberly Elise for the day's filming duties.

As for the film, which also stars Whoopi Goldberg, Kerry Washington and Anika Noni Rose, a synopsis via IMDB tells that it's "a drama based on Ntozake Shange's about existence from the perspective of 20 nameless black females."

Aside from her movie endeavors, Miss Jackson is said to be on cloud nine with her new relationship with 35-year-old millionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana.

An insider close to Janet told InTouch magazine, "He seems to have given her a new lease on life since her brother Michael died. He's younger than Janet, taller than Janet and far richer than Janet. He has become her knight in shining armor. For the first time in Janet's life, she's with a man who pays for everything. He's filthy rich."

She's starting to age now. You can tell she has heavy makeup on and yet you can still see a wee bit of sagging and such.

Janet Jackson has revealed that she is considering signing with an independent music label to handle her future releases.

The singer, who ended her contract with Island Records in 2008, insisted that she wants to be in control of the material she produces.

"All the major labels have called and they want to sit down and talk about me signing," she told The Mirror.

"But I need to figure out if that's the route I want to take or if I want to do something more independent."

She added that she is still weighing her options to decide what would be best for her career.

"The latter might be better, where I'd be able to call the shots when creating my own album. I haven't decided," she explained.

Signing what?

Her last will and testament?

:lol2:

They'd be better off renting a huge skip, dumping vast amounts of money into it and setting it alight. They actually have more chance of a return on that than investing in her.

LOL.

As if this ho has ever called the shots. She had a secret husband ghostwriting her music for a decade and then she let that troll JD run her career in to the ground with his ghetto bullshit.

Not to mention on the last record she had not a single writing credit.

I completely agree. I always got the feeling that she contributed fuck all to her music, aside from writing crap lyrics about her sexual antics.

Yet the Janazis swear up and down that she had an equal hand in writing everything, and in particular was much more involved in writing her music than Madonna was with hers.

But I didn't even get to cum!

Janet Set To Release "True You" In 2011

Posted Image

Janet Jackson's new book, "True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself," is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com. The self help book as Janet describes it, is co-authored by biographer David Ritz and will officially become available on January 25, 2011. In a recent interview with USA Today, Janet was very candid about what would be in the book, saying she had traced many of her issues, especially her eating disorder, back to her upbringing. Janet said despite not being fat, she was made to feel that she was and found herself routinely being bound in order to hide her blossoming figure. Look for Janet's book to possibly accompany a new single as well. Word is the singer has secretly gone back into the studio with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and is looking to release a single that corresponds in some way with the theme of the book.

Update: Check out Janet on the December cover of Health Magazine.
