21 got certified 10× Platinum by IFPI, so it's the highest selling album in Europe since 2000. Maybe it's the best-selling album in Europe of all time as well, idk

Adele's '21' best-selling album in the US for a second year

Adele's 21 has been named the best-selling album in the US for a second consecutive year.

The collection sold 4.41 million copies in the US during 2012, taking it to the top of the year-end tally and marking the first time an artist has achieved the feat since records began in 1991.

Adele managed to outsell her nearest rival by over a million copies, as Taylor Swift's Red lands at two with sales of 3.11m, reports Billboard.

One Direction landed in third place with their debut album Up All Night (1.62m), while their follow-up Take Me Home clocked in at five (1.34m).

The boyband mark the first time an act has had two of the year's top five best-sellers since SoundScan starting tracking sales in 1991.

Elsewhere, Mumford & Sons land in fourth place with Babel tallying up 1.46m sales in the US during 2012.

It means that four out five of the best-selling albums in the United States last year were released by British artists.

The Top 10 best-selling albums in the US during 2012 are as follows:

1. Adele: 21 (4.41m)
2. Taylor Swift: Red (3.11m)
3. One Direction: Up All Night (1.62m)
4. Mumford & Sons: Babel (1.46m)
5. One Direction: Take Me Home (1.34m)
6. Justin Bieber: Believe (1.34m)
7. Carrie Underwood: Blown Away (1.2m)
8. Luke Bryan: Tailgates & Tanlines (1.1m)
9. Lionel Richie: Tuskegee (1.07m)
10. Jason Aldean: Night Train (1.02m)

I wonder if people are calling Taylor Swift a flop because she was outsold by Adele in her SECOND YEAR. I guess not, since deluded Madonna stans aren't threatened by Taylor Swift.

You'd think they would be, considering Swift is MUCH bigger than Gaga in the US.

Taylor Swift isn't of the same proportions as Adele. People don't think of them as the same league. I know a lot of people outside the U.S. who haven't heard of Taylor Swift.

Adele's 19 is 3× Platinum in Europe and her 21 is 10× Platinum. Taylor has never been platinum by IFPI. Her 5×-6×-4×-3× Platinum in the U.S. is impressive but so is Adele's 2×-10× Platinum.

Adele seen shouting at Chris Brown at Grammys?

Adele was seen apparently shouting at Chris Brown at last night's Grammy awards.

In a photograph from the ceremony, the British singer - who won an award for 'Best Pop Solo Performance' - appears to be confronting Brown during the event.

It is not clear what the pair were discussing, although a widely circulated clip on the internet shows that Adele was apparently unimpressed with Brown during the ceremony.

When Frank Ocean picked up a gong, he received a standing ovation. However, Brown remained seated, receiving a glance from a nearby Adele.

Ocean and Brown have a difficult relationship following their recent brawl outside a recording studio, in which Brown or a member of his entourage reportedly described Ocean with a homophobic slur. However, Ocean has decided not to press charges.

Meanwhile, Brown attended the Grammy Awards with Rihanna - four years after the pair missed the ceremony because Brown had physically assaulted the 'Umbrella' singer.

Alas, for all the wrong reasons. It'd be a cool dress, on someone like Natalie Portman, not on a woman of Adele's size!

D'you prefer all the large woman in black?

Well, I prefer this. Fun, unique, and 'sofa' - suits the ease of perceiving of herself by others. And still let make fun of it. Sophisticated as it should be.

It may be fun but it certainly isn't sophisticated.
