Queen, Michael Jackson song 'There Must Be More To Life Than This' debuts

A long-awaited duet by Queen and Michael Jackson has premiered on radio.

The track - titled 'There Must Be More To Life Than This' - was given its first play on Chris Evans's BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show this morning (September 19).

The track was originally recorded between 1982 and 1983 by the artists, but ultimately only Mercury's solo version appeared on his debut album Mr Bad Guy in 1985.

The duet form of 'There Must Be More To Life Than This' also briefly featured in The Great Pretender, a BBC documentary about the life of Freddie Mercury which aired back in 2012.

A demo of the collaboration has been floating around online for a few years now, but this new final version has been produced by William Orbit.

The new version of 'There Must Be More To Life Than This' is the first cut to be previewed from upcoming album Queen Forever, which is scheduled to be released on November 10.

'Thriller' was just certified 30x Platinum by the RIAA.

It's now the sole highest selling album of all time, breaking its tie with the Eagles' big compilation.

The "Dangerous" album was released 25 years ago today. Cracking album! I remember rushing to the record shop to buy it on release day. Not because I was a Jacko fan, but because it had been heavily rumoured that Madonna was featured on "In the Closet". I was gutted when I got it home and realised it wasn't her, but ended up loving the album anyway. It was such a huge event when he released this. Pop was so, so exciting back then and it didn't get any bigger than a new Jacko album. Fond memories of such a fab time in pop music!

Absolutely ADORE the artwork too!

Fab! I love that track too. The artwork for the whole era was mostly gorgeous.

There was such a magical vibe around that whole album release, or perhaps that's just how I was feeling at the time. I dunno, I remember thinking what an EVENT it all was. I actually treated myself to the vinyl edition at the weekend. I've always adored the artwork.
