Earth Song? Surely you jest.
I wasn't the biggest fan of HIStory, but Earth Song was brilliant. Amazing video, powerful song... one of his last great tracks, along with Stranger In Moscow.
That's not the point though. They're trying to make it out to be a classic that everyone remembers. :chuckle:

Michael Jackson was a gimmick. He only had so much material and then it was over.

Elvis was the greatest star at one time and is still considered to be the King today. However, he held that status due to not have child molestation allegation, after child molestation allegation, attached to him. He never lived his life as a freak show. Michael Jackson's persona is what killed him officially. You can only live off your past history for so long. That was 30 years ago. He made up the whole "King of Pop" title himself, and had the media directed to address him as such or they wouldn't be granted an interview.

yea, I agree there. Of pretty much all the "living" superstars of the 70's and 80's who are still around, nobody is lazier than MJ. He seems like he refuses to let go of Thriller and try something new. Madonna would be probably be little more than a pop footnote playing Pride events and scoring the occasional dance hit if she never moved on past Like A Virgin artistically, but she knew she had to evolve. MJ found the formula that made him sell more records than anyone else at the time and has refused to evolve or compromise.

Will he lipsynch to the old vocal tracks like his sister did when she announced her tour on Ellen?

Why is he doing this? Does he need more money to pay for his subscription to Barely Legal?

It looks like the moves he made when forcing little boys to give him blowjobs.

The most shocking thing in this thread is that Enrique Iglesias has enough of a fanbase left to fill the O2.

I never understood why anyone would want to see a Michael Jackson show. The same tired old dance moves, naff costumes and "sets". His shows were already hugely dated by the 90s. Sure he was a great dancer, but his shows were never in the same artistic or creative league as Madonna's.
i agree with u but what blk does not do the same azz routine
even mc hammer still do that nutty dance

Yes in one morning. I am really shocked. Being 33, i remember him being the King of Pop but i truly thought everybody had forgotten. Now it seems that many people around my generation still remember how great he was

Does anyone else find it a little disturbing that so many people are willing to line the pockets of a paedophile?

I used to think it was just idiotic, naive Americans who ignored his vile behaviour, but it seems that many Europeans are just as blind, or willing to overlook child abuse, all because the guy made some good music years ago?

Wow.

Respect people who have different views from you. I don't find offensive to see Michael Jackson playing music. It would be offensive if i payed to see him playing with children. Oh, it would be horrible, hahaha
