Jedward have earned over €3million (£2.85m) in the past year - the biggest annual pay cheque in 'X Factor' history. The Sun has reported that John and Edward Grimes, 19, have chalked up the earnings through gigs, personal appearances, endorsements and lucrative ad deals. The quiff-haired duo, who finished sixth in 2009's 'X Factor', made €561,000 (£500,000) promoting computer game firm Nintendo alone. Other lucrative ad campaigns that they fronted include price comparison site Moneysupermarket, children's cereal 'Coco Pops' and drinks giant 'Britvic'. Managed by 'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh, the pair pocketed another £50,000 (€56,000) last night for just a few hours work on the new ITV game show 'Sing If You Can', where former pop star Sinitta picked up £5,000 (€5,600). One source said: "The Jeds are making millions. Louis reckons Jedward have made more money in a year than any other 'X Factor' act. "They've done more adverts, endorsements and gigs than all the other contestants combined. In the past year their earnings topped €3.2million." Prices for a three-song private set with Jedward start at around £10,000 (€11,000). |

I have to say, I realise that they are utterly, utterly talentless, but I can't help but feel sort of happy for them. Whenever I see them being interviewed on TV, they come across as nutty but ultimately very nice guys. If I stumble across an interview of theirs, I always watch it. Some of the stuff they come out with is hilarious. Good luck to them! |

Interesting that they're netting so much money yet they were dropped by their label because they didn't think there would be interest |

Well I guess as a musical act, there IS little interest, but in terms of TV work and endorsements and private appearances etc, they are really cleaning up! |

Do you think they'll be as big in 5 or 10 years though? They're just the latest craze. |

Oh of course they are and that's why they are wisely grabbing every single opportunity they can right now while there's still interest. They're doing exactly what they should be doing, because they know as well as everyone does, that this could all end tomorrow. |

They were on a Mrs.Merton-style interview show over here during the week and the interviewer kept asking them which was the top and which was the bottom. It was meant to be about bunk beds, but clearly wasn't.

Jedward confirm Eurovision 2012 bid: 'It's going to be huge' Jedward have confirmed that they will attempt to represent Ireland in the Eurovision for a second time. The Irish duo took part in the competition earlier this year, finishing eighth with their entry 'Lipstick'. Following their performance, Jedward charted high in various countries around Europe. Discussing their plans, the twins told Digital Spy: "The UK better watch out. It's going to be huge! We're going to have an amazing song, an amazing dance team - we're going to go out there and do a huge mega-performance." Promising that they would give it their "best shot", they said that their fans are already "getting behind the campaign", with some already booking their tickets to the Azerbaijan event. Speaking about their upcoming tour dates in the UK, John and Edward promised fans more of their "high energy" performances, adding that there will be "a lot of jumping and a lot of screaming". Jedward release their new single 'Wow Oh Wow' on Sunday, November 20. |

having earned 3m euros already? this is insane. do they even have a uk record deal these days? that said, i wouldn't mind them on eurovision for a second year in a row. i'd rather have jedward jumping around than another boring ballad as the irish entry thus giving us the excuse to visit the loo |

OH PLEASE we may be bankrupt, still we enlightened european audiences with the wonders of helena and sakis, thus elevating trashy gays all over the continent to unprecedented levels of gay coma. irish entries on the other hand...wtf really (just admit it) |
