i thought she literally screamed her way through the song. i actually had to fastforward, my ears couldn't handle it.

flop single, album, tour, movie, marriage, body, superbowl performance. i wonder what's next for her?

Some twat on Xtina's IMDB messageboard AND the UKMix forums is going on and on about how Burlesque is such a huge moneymaker because of the huge "license fees" foreign countries have to pay US studios to play their films, on top of the studio taking a share of the actual international theatrical grosses.

Too bad nobody besides him has ever hard of these alleged license fees before. :rotfl:

It reminds me of when the lambs were saying Charmbracelet was such a smash because it got the previously-unheard of "Blue Diamond" award for selling 2 million across Asia. :rotfl:

LOL at this headline:

Christina Aguilera National Anthem: Epic fail for former Disney star?

http://greencelebrity.net/2011/02/07/christina-aguilera-national-anthem-epic-fail-for-former-disney-star/

It's official, the public has now forgotten her entire music career. They only remember her being on the Mickey Mouse Club.

Her career destruction has come full circle, and is now complete.

Joan Rivers slams "stupid" Aguilera

Joan Rivers has criticised Christina Aguilera for fluffing a line of the US national anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

When Aguilera came to the fourth line in 'The Star-Spangled Banner' - "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming" - she repeated the song's second line - "What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming" - but she sang "watched" instead of "hailed".

Speaking to Pop Eater about the incident, Rivers said: "How stupid can you get? Christina must have been thinking about food, that's why she forgot the words."

The Joan & Melissa star went on to take jabs at Aguilera's weight, saying: "She's gotten so big. She looks like she could eat Lady GaGa. Great way to get rid of competition."

Aguilera has apologised for the mistake. She earlier said: "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."

Aguilera to open Grammy Awards?

Christina Aguilera will open this year's Grammy Awards, reports suggest.

Aguilera, who sang the US national anthem at last Sunday's Super Bowl, is said to have been booked for the ceremony with singer and actress Jennifer Hudson.

Industry blog Wayne's World reports that the pair will pay homage to Aretha Franklin, who recently underwent surgery for a mystery illness, at the start of the event.

Performers confirmed for this year's Grammys include Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Eminem, Nicki Minaj and Lady GaGa, who will give her first live performance of new single 'Born This Way'.

Aguilera recently apologised for fluffing a line during her Super Bowl gig.

In all seriousness though, regarding Xtina's Superbowl performance, I can't believe the media is making such a big deal out of one slightly flubbed line. You'd think she had actually stabbed Michelle Obama in the neck or something. She's a human being who made one small mistake while singing a song. People really need to get over it!

I'm more amused by how GHASTLY the performance was up to that point anyway. Never have I heard such apalling bellowing and screeching in my life. Astonishingly awful, even by her standards. Why the hell do they insist on getting singers to massacre their anthem in that way, with their sickening oversinging? Atrocious.

Singers & Standards/Vocal acts and Opera singers are really the only people that can sing the Star Spangled Banner in it's original key and intended vocal style. People don't like when contemporary singers ad-lib and throw in all their affectations. Odd that the NFL has yet to realize this.

And yes, if anything people should have trashed HOW she sang it, not her flub.

What must it be like to be Xtina right now? Literally NOTHING goes right for her. God knows how she'll fare at the Grammys. She'll probably end up shitting herself live infront of millions.
