well it's definitely no better single than *takes breath*

overload
run for cover
freak like me
round round
hole in the head
push the button
ugly
red dress
easy
about u now

not to mention the numerous fantastic album tracks over the years. sugababes crafted some of the finest pop tunes over the past decade, shame they've turned to a joke these days. they should have called it a day while still on top of their game

Sugababes member Amelle Berrabah has been admitted to a private health clinic suffering "from a severe bout of nervous exhaustion".

A message on the group's website said the 25-year-old had been advised to take a "short break" following medical advice earlier this week.

The singer's health problems have been attributed to the pressures surrounding the group's recent line-up change.

Original member Keisha Buchanan left last month in a flurry of controversy.

Members Heidi Range and Jade Ewen said in their joint message: "It seems that with all the recent events in the band right up to Jade joining us a few weeks ago, the stress over a period of months has unfortunately taken its toll on Amelle and she is now suffering from a severe bout of nervous exhaustion.

"For the next three weeks, Amelle will be staying at a private health clinic in Europe where she will be able to rest and recuperate under expert supervision."

Legal issues

Range said: "Both Amelle and I have been through a very traumatic time together in recent months and particularly over the past few weeks." Ewen added: "We're glad that Amelle is getting the right support now to help her return to work."

Berrabah is expected to return to the group "in full health" by the beginning of November.

The singer's absence means the group will have to cancel their first live performance together since the line-up change.

They had been due to perform in Leeds and appear on a German TV show this weekend.

The group also had to pull out of headlining the Scottish Royal Variety Performance last week due to "a number of legal issues to be finalised".

"Although we know this news all comes as a huge disappointment to Sugababes fans, we really do have to treat Amelle's welfare as our priority at times like this," Range and Ewen said.

After original band member Buchanan left the group last month, Range and Berrabah denied the 24-year-old's claims she was pushed out.

The group was formed in 1998 by Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy.

Range replaced Donaghy in 2001 and in 2005 Buena was replaced by Berrabah.

Ewen is still re-recording vocals for the group's next album, which had featured Buchanan's voice.

why on earth is she scum? Just because she doesn't come from a fantastic family doesn't make her scum.*

The founding members of the Sugababes have reportedly hired Peter Andre's manager Claire Powell to helm a comeback.

According to The Sun, Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy met last week and have decided to move ahead with a planned reunion.

A record label source said: "The comeback is gathering momentum.

"Mutya had a lot of convincing to do to get the girls around the table to sort things out. That happened last week and they are all game to give it a go."

They added: "Mutya's manager knows he needs some muscle to make it a commercial success and he's called in his old pal Claire.

"The other girls are delighted to be back in touch. They are bang up for it with the new management team. They are now looking for a record deal and have started planning for a big launch next year."

Earlier this month, Buchanan's manger said that the singer is concentrating on her solo career and "is definitely, 100% not going to be involved in any kind of Sugababes reformation".

The current Sugababes lineup of Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen are recording brand new material for inclusion on their upcoming Sweet 7 album.

Claire is an incredible agent. She masterminded Katie and Peter's careers, turning her from a slag into a multi-millionaire and him from washed up singer into dada of the year and successful albums artist.

If this is true, they couldn;t want for a better PR.

Yeah but Siobhan left the Sugababes about 8 years ago and hasn't had a successful solo career.

If they've all grown up and want to make lots of money again it seems like a good idea (certainly there's more chance of success than there is for a Keisha solo career)

And now that Sugababes are for the American market, these original girls can stuck to European wonderful music.

I wonder if they could call themselves Sugarbabes, with an 'r'

Buchanan denies Sugababes reunion reports
By David Balls, Music Reporter

Keisha Buchanan has denied that the original Sugababes are planning a reunion next year.

The singer, who was axed from the group in September, insisted that the latest claims were fabricated by the press.

"I'm not re-forming the sugababes (sic)," she wrote on Twitter. "We've spoken & I'm pleased they've lent me their support & vice versa. But we're 100% NOT reforming xxx."

They will reunite for sure.

Keisha, Muttley and Siobhan can only have a career together.

I loathe the new Sugababes - they sound like any generic, girl-band with no originality.

Version 1 could be fabulous once again.

Sugababes: 'Originals can't steal our name'

Sugababes have revealed that the original lineup would not legally be allowed to use their name if they decide to reform.

However, the 'About A Girl' trio claimed that Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan would still be able to perform songs from One Touch, the only album to include all their vocals.

"They could still perform them, but they can't use the name because it belongs to our record company who we signed to," Heidi Range told Real Radio.

"They wouldn't be allowed to use any of the songs except 'Overload', it would be like doing a cover," Amelle Berrabah said.

Latest recruit Jade Ewen played down reports that the original lineup are planning to reunite and insisted that she is not worried about the competition.

"Keisha just put on Twitter that she 100% is not reforming, but I think even if they do there is enough room for everyone, we wish them the best of luck," she said.

"We're not out to look for trouble, we're just getting on with what we're doing and enjoying ourselves," Range added.

Sugababes recently revealed that they are recording more new material for their upcoming album Sweet 7, which is scheduled for release in March.
