Director: New Beyoncé video is "big" Francis Lawrence has revealed that Beyoncé's recently-filmed music video for new single 'Girls (Who Rule The World)' is one of her her biggest to date. The Hollywood director, who has previously worked with Lady GaGa on her 'Bad Romance' video, has promised that the video will live up to fans' expectations. "I just shot a Beyoncé video at the beginning of this last week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - which was fun, and I hadn't done a video since 2009," he told MTV. "The video's for the song 'Girls' - it's off her new album. She would probably have me shot if I said anything... Some stuff spilled out, but she wasn't happy about it, so I've been sworn to secrecy." Paparazzi shots of the filming of the video in the Mojave desert in California appeared online last week, showing the diva in an array of outfits, standing on overturned cars in a revolution-inspired scene. "It'll be big - it'll probably be one of the bigger Beyoncé music videos ever done. And, I can say that I think the song is unbelievable," he added. No release date for this single has yet been confirmed, but a version of the track leaked online earlier today. Beyoncé's new album is expected to be released this June. |

Sorry, I still think it's *awful*. One of the worst songs she has ever recorded and she has recorded some real shit in her time. A mess with absolutely NO redeeming qualities whatsoever. |

It really is astonishgly awful. It sounds like career suicide to my ears, but it'll probably end up at #1 for weeks. |

But ultimately Single Ladies had a fantastically catchy hook. Does this??? I can't hear it if there is.

On second listen I found some great hooks... It is a great grower with each listen (btw I found Gaga new songs a bit too instant) The hooks here are really nice and not that forward. Great song. I haven`t been soooo exited by a song since.................. don`t remember. THIS IS a HYMN really At the end it reminded me some MJ. Edited by Anastasia Beaverhausen, Apr 20 2011, 10:41 AM.

On the 6th listen I think it would be Bey`s biggest song ever. And I predict it would end up as a song of a year with no doubt. Gaga still may come with a best album though This is the most fascinating song for me in years.

No sorry, I had another listen there. It's still shit. GaGa gets slated for writing catchy songs, so I guess the way to avoid that is by not bothering to write a song at all and calling it "edgy". No thanks Bee! |

I can`t even catch the structure of the song still. Love that! Sophisticated as it is... |

Just because a song doesn't have a clear tune or structure or production, really doesn't mean it's "sophisticated" you know. More often that not, that just means it's a shit song. Do you think it's a bad thing to have a clear, strong melody? |

Sometimes you just get tired very quickly by the song if the melody is too clear and forward. This song makes me wanna listen, cause it`s very musical and interesting at the same time. Just my thing maybe... |

I do know what you mean. Sometimes if the melody is too instant, you can tire of it in a week or so. Well hopefully it'll somehow turn out to be a grower for me. I do like Bee. Just not feeling this one at all yet though. |
