Deja Vu flopped though.
I doubt she cared

So. If a GURL wants to sing about them ruling the world - BAD. Boring. Been already.

If Gaga using the same lame 'poetry' but with gays - it's genious?
My current feelings about Gaga have been expressed here several times, but Judas may as well be the second coming of Frozen compared to this godawful trash Yonka just unleashed.

this is plain awful

how weird gaga gets slammed for repeating herself by writing catchy pop songs with real hooks, yet bee has been using the same old tuneless formula for a number of her hits ever since 2003 with the excuse of inventing a fierce rnb sound yet few seem to bother-please bitch get real, u're a popstar

i wouldn't mind this as an album track in a skip-it-every-so-often kinda way. but the lead single? this is just a terrible choice, but if it flops i'm sure her team will quickly switch to the next safer single and pretend this was just a buzz release to warm the engines

It really isn't a grower either. I've listened to it numerous times today and it just gets more boring with each listen. It's like listening to...nothing. Tuneless. Cold. Dead on arrival. It has me rushing back to Gaga for some proper tunes. I bet the trendy sites like Stereogum and Pitchfork will love it though, precisely because it's such a mess.

Dear, darling, sweetheart, honey-pie, butter-butt, babe, girlfriend... the reason most people are trashing this shit song is because it lacks ANY type of melody or hook crucial for a first single.

And yes, the tired and retarded "message" of the song isn't helping much either. Beyawnce is still stuck in 2006.
I get your point. I love music, and this song is something risky, fresh AND BRAVE. For me it's very MUSIC.

I don't wanna feel like Riv defending Gaga :manson:

I wish she'd risk a bit more and say MOTHAFUCKER instead of just MOTHA

I can definitely hear why people find this an utter mess. I just can't help love all her dross like this, Ring The Alarm etc :(

even though I'm the WHITEST PERSON EVER™

How do you think a song that's beyond it's time is suppose to be taken?

Like this. Ununderstood.

I don't think it's particularly groundbreaking or beyond its time in any sense. Deja Vu did good on the R&B charts so this might as well. it's the mainstream charts it's gonna struggle with most likely

still let's wait for the video. it worked wonders for Single Ladies

It did BUT and it's a very, VERY big but...Singles Ladies is ultimately a good song. It has a *killer* hook and brilliant production. This just doesn't. This is far, far messier and unpleasant to listen to.

No video, no matter how good, can save this song.
