I love how artists and labels always think that pushing an album back will stop the flop. The new music is shit, people don't care about her anymore, and tweaking the product is mere desperation that won't help anything.

In all honesty "Telephone" stalling at #3 on the Hot 100, missing #1 by a wide margin, was a sign that people were tiring of Beyonce.
Honey, EVERYONE cares about Beyonce. She will have a career into her 60s! She will be this generation's Aretha Franklin. No one is going to beat her in the end. She can act, sing, and dance. One clunker of an album isn't going to end her career. She appeals to everyone across the board. She's a household name. Her big mistake was firing her father.

Managing herself has definitely been an epic disaster so far.

I think you're overestimating a TON of things about this woman.

The best thing she ever does is fall, which she seems to do OFTEN.

04. Best Thing I Never Had 3/10
05. Party 1/10

09. Countdown 4/10
10. End of Time 6/10
11. I Was Here 6/10
12. Run the World (Girls) 5/10

half of the album is decent, the other half is unremarkable, lazy, uninspired, quite dull at times, and a HUGE missed opportunity.

6 is the new 10 for Queen B. :sadbitch:

Compared to an album like GaGa's, which is pure, unadulterated, non-stop exhilarating pop genius, Bee's just doesn't hold up. But taken on it's own merits, I think it's quite good. It's a laid-back, retro soul album. Nothing more, nothing less.

I've heard that from a ton of people. They listened to it once and thought it was SHIT. After a few more listens, they all love it.

well, there really are some growers but i think most people (especially non-fans) were expecting so much more from this record.

agreed. definitely not what people expected though and definitely not something that would ensure the album's WW chart success.

Oh God yeah, I'm 99% certain that it's going to flop HARD. There aren't really any big "singles" on it. I'm surprised that the record company okay'd it to be honest.

OMG didn't you go on and on about how awful it was and how it had no melody and deserved to flop? I think the surprise at this point would be to stay FIRM on a decision.
