It needs to be said that Florence is yet another singer whose voice blows Adele's out of the water.

Their respective levels of commercial success really should be switched.

I was shocked to see an actual singer on X Factor. She was even better than Frankie Coccoza.

Better than Frankie? That's pushing it a bit, isn't it? The guy is a musical genius and one of the greatest vocalists of his generation. I'm in awe of his ability to hit every single note bang on key, as well as being extremely likeable and endearing. He's a superstar!

Not crazy about it at all. It just sounds like a "Ceremonials" leftover.

Spectrum is doing really well in the charts. It's in the Top 5 on iTunes, both in the singles and albums (EP) charts. She's getting ecstatic about it on twitter, it's really cute - and the success has been a long time coming, considering the flops of this era (GOD KNOWS WHY!!!)

What a brilliant song for the public to finally latch on to though. So positive and epic and explosive. I enjoy all of Cermonials and Lungs, but this is probably my favourite Florence song of them all.

I sort of think of Cosmic Love as representing the sky at night (duh, look at the title) full of shooting stars and towering celestial entities, then Shake It Out feels like the sound of the sunrise in all it's glory, and Spectrum finishes off the amazing trinity exploding with rainbows and supernovas and... I don't really know where I'm going with this. I just want to gush about these amazing songs.

It's the remix which has been released, I should add. So it's a sort of bittersweet victory as she's had to tone down her uniqueness a bit, but it's still a bloody good remix and it's good to see her sitting atop the charts again.

I recognize this could be sacriledge but does it sound to anyone else that Florence is remaking the same song over and over? Then again I once said the same thing about Coldplay and Riv called me an IDIOT

Florence + The Machine played their forthcoming third album in full at a private friends and family show earlier this evening (February 9) in London.

Florence Welch ran through the record in its entirety at the event in Les Trois Garcons restaurant in Shoreditch, playing a set which included brand new songs 'Ship To Wreck', 'Caught', 'Delilah' and 'What Kind Of Man'. The audience included The xx, Jessie Ware, Fred Macpherson of Spector and the model Daisy Lowe.

Before performing, Welch spoke to the crowd about the record, which is her first since the singer's debut 'Lungs' in 2009 and its follow-up 'Ceremonials' in 2011.

Florence + The Machine are due to play a number of European festivals this summer including Way Out West in Sweden, Super Bock Super Rock in Portugal, Benicassim in Spain, Oya in Norway, Flow Festival in Finland, Rock Werchter in Belgium and Hurricane and South Side festivals in Germany.

They are also rumoured to be performing at Glastonbury and are favourites to headline alongside Foo Fighters and AC/DC. Bookmakers Paddy Power have cut their odds on Foo Fighters playing Worthy Farm to 5/4 following comments made by Dave Grohl and festival organiser Emily Eavis in 2014.

Hear the new single here:

Plenty of attitude, but barely ANY tune. Extremely disappointing.
