One of the lines from "Touch My Body" is ...Throw me on the bed...

Well, Mariah, I would but quite frankly I don't think my matress could withstand such a cataclysmic event.

Mimi is so fat that when she turns over in bed she singes her arse on the lightbulb.

Must say she's looking quite thin on SNL. Touch my body which I agree with river is quite a catchy wee song. Nothing ground breaking. Her performance was quite dull. What's with the hissy fit towards the end as she was trying to hit some notes.

Migraine was awful. Weak and pointless I thought. Plus she just stood there most of the time mumbling. What's with the scary looking black dude? Yanking ur about the stage with his cane! Madonna would NEVER let a man push her about like that.

She's so up her self in many ways but I look forward to hearing her album. Mimi was great.

Why are her fans so deluded?

i do think Mariah can compare to The Beatles and Elvis... you have to realize were like 35 yrs past the beatles.. 35 years from when Mariah is done she will be just as much a legend... and Elvis is dead... god for bid.. but lets not even go to how popular and EVEn bigger (if thats possible) Mariah will be when she passes..

LOL!

Elvis has been dead for over 30 years and the Beatles have been broken up for nearly 40. Even today, I would say that they are both known by more people and by a wider audience than Mariah currently is. When she passes ( :( ), she still won't be in their league. Billboard records or not.

i don't think that is an appropriate statement unless you can tell me that you are going to know what's going to happen 50 years down the road ::)

and she has the most potential to reach that status among her generation

Not musically or for cultural impact I insist....period.

I really don't think you truly understand the influence and achievements of the Beatles. And I'm *really* not talking about chart achievements and influences. I'm talking about actual musical firsts, discoveries, abilities, etc, etc. I'm not really a Beatles fan but learning just a brief history in a Rock'n Roll History class last year really floored me just how much they've done for the musical world in terms of musical theory, studio work, writing, ideas, and tons of other stuff. They invented stuff!

Anyone that thinks any artist or singer of today's generation can match that needs to do some serious research.

lamb #2, again:

get over it.. Mariah is not interested in cultural influences... we all know that... she's a vocalist... she brought live singing to the next level and this is something she's never given credit for

I didn't say Mariah cared about it. You said she had the potential to reach the status that the Beatles are in within the next 50 years and I disputed your claim. That's pretty much it. There's nothing for me to get over.

I agree that she was overlooked in terms of Grammys back in the day... She definitely deserved more than the two she was awarded in her first year. But now... She's not bringing anything new to the table. Her live singing is nothing to write home about in its current state.

lamb #2, again:

Well, at least you were smart enough to use the verb "to bring" in the past tense...

lamb #2, again:

who do you thnk people like Beyonce, Christina and Leona look up to when it comes to singing??... this is Mariah's influences back in the 90s

not a lamb:

I'd say Whitney's influence

she still can outsing 95% out the people out there today
she's just not having a good day

"Migrate" won't be the second single. Straight from the Mimi's mouth!

She said it'll be a ballad.

I didn't like the live performance of "Migrate" at all, but hopefully the studio version will be more enjoyable.
