Only 4 months left until the end of the year, so what are your favourite albums of the year so far?

For me, it's not been a great year really. Aside from GaGa and Paul Simon's albums, I don't truly adore any other album I've heard. The others in the list I've enjoyed in some way, but I don't think they're truly great.

1. Lady GaGa - Born This Way

2. Paul Simon - So Beautiful Or So What?

3. PJ Harvey - Let England Shake

4. Elbow - Build A Rocket Boys!

5. Adele - 21

6. Pistol Annies - Hell On Heels

7. Will Young - Echoes

8. Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi - Rome

Posted Image

9. The Pierces - You & I

10. Britney Spears - Femme Fatala

11. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Make A Scene

12. Beyonce - 4

13. The Feeling - Together We Were Made

14. The Throne - Watch The Throne

I'd say for me so far, in no particular order:

Blue Songs - Hercules and Love Affair
Let England Shake - PJ Harvey
Femme Fatale - Britney Spears
Born This Way - Lady Gaga
Wounded Rhymes - Lykke Li
Lupercalia - Patrick Wolf

I'd give Adele's 21 an honorable mention because I ADORE two or three tracks on it but I got bored of the album as a whole fairly quickly.

Yeah, same for me with Adele's album.

Great to see PJ's album in your list. And Britney's too. I love people who like dark, serious music and also the fluffiest of pop!

I really love any kind of music as long as it's commits to what it's trying to do fully if that makes sense?

Gaga and Kanye/Jay-Z are the two that have really blown me away this year and that I keep going back to.

Absolutely! If an artist excels within the genre/style of music that they're operating in, then I'm interested!

They're a trio of country singers who got together for a side project. Lovely melodies and tough lyrics. I quite like good country, but it wouldn't be for everyone!
